rockin i'm not gonna even pay mind to you. it wasn't me that was the problem. just look how many people left that job alone or got fired. that place makes no sense. i'm still gonna talk to play and trade regardless, but seriously i don't know whatz gonna happen. anyone really got problems how i ran tournaments don't come. i actually go hard and for all the people that didn't go to play and trade.... ask dire, basic sausage and vanz how i help them do one event that started at 2 30pm and ended at 10 lol.

it would of ended later of it wasn't for my help and yes i join the tournament also. anyway i'm done wit that as long as people stop throwin ****. the bx i'm gonna check that out monday and if so we would even provide security. from wat i heard n not even from ace is that area is actually alright. so no need to be scare.

it can happen. me n acemarth wants the place in the bx cause he says it's real nice.... but no offense to the smash community, but alot of people got no balls. they act like they gonna instantly get robbed. which is not true at all. the guy wants us to bring people and if so, that place would be sooooooooooooo good.

i'm gonna give u an example of how bad web2zone is..... three people got fired which was bum, daph and jeffery. the boss said andrew work on this day for the week. andrew goes ok. he comes in the next day and now he works 6 days a week..... he wants to quit. don't believe me go to the job and ask him. the place is just screwed up. vanz is proof, he came wit me and knows the deal of how stupid web2zone is. anyway i really don't know wat place to take up. i would take the bx in a heartbeat, but it's like ya not willing to travel there which really sucks. the trade n play has a downstairs, but they only givin me fridays and upstairs is more narrow n smaller than web2zone.

Oh ok Bum thats cool. Well for me the Bronx is mad far. I went to Alukard's place once and that trip took like 3 hours >______> maybe more.

Regardless if you want the weeklies in the Bronx thats up to you. But that sucks for me . I hope you guys hold it in Manhattan which would be amazing for me. *sigh* T_T.

Although got d*mn, you gotta know how to survive out there in the world. Ever since I was young, I've been going everywhere by myself at all times of the day and night. Come on guys, Ace Marth said they're mad restaurants around. We could definitely have mad fun at a McBowser's or something like we used to after the weeklies at Web2Zone. Even though I'll most likely still not be able to join weeklies because of work, I'm still gonna come through to cheer for my crew/cool peoples and have mad fun. I don't care where in New York City the new venue would've been located. I'll definitely be up in there all dai regardless lol. if ya really willing to come, i can guranteed ya we can do that. i wanna cater to both, i suck in melee, but fact is it's good to see different game communities. i wanna make sure i can take out trippin in all wiis for brawl to make it alot..... soooooooooooooooooooooooo much better. it also allows people to save money to go to that event. i also wanna do this, the first month is like weeklies... the followin month is one weekly of melee and one weekly of brawl and then make the last two weeks a bi monthly where people can come from all over. these are things i'm comin up wit

Well Bum, I didn't speak your name in the post. And I left all that stuff I wanted to say in that argument, which is closed off and behind us. It's not like they didn't fire people for no reason. I mean, a few of the people I known who got fired had a good reason. He kept constantly being late.

Also, I'm no coward. Anyone can think of me how they want. A chicken, a *****, or whatever. I know what I am and that's what matters. This is more then just fear of being hurt. There's consideration on other people in the borough, such as travel time. Me, I don't mind at all if I'm going to shin's house from my street (kings bridge) to to get to his (keep in mind, it's like a 2 hour ride). Not many people is willing to do that if they had to travel to other bouroughs and vice versa. especially OoS.

Mattatan borugh is always a good place to hold it. There's no long length of traveling. The one at W2z is a walk distance away! The spot is also good for the MTA people of NYC, and the Penn. train people of Atlantic north.There is a chance for us to get that W2z spot back. we just need support for it and be more co-operated.

Bum, I'm just saying all of this from what I heard from the store and my view point of W2z Vs your venue.

Yea, what Rockin said is on the nose, getting to another burough from oos is a pain, especially because the subway doesn't run near there.... Used to be able to get to penn or port authority pretty easily from w2z.

Just glanced through the last two pages and noticed this mentioned. Manhattan seems like the best borough for the venue. Doesn't hurt that its the best halfway point for most of the NYC community. Imagine how horrible it would be for people in the BX to have to travel to BK or vice versa?

First off...

Two, i'm not phased at all by the level of danger of the area because I know that i'd be travelling with the crew, and we can hold down some real life nubs

It's just that travelling that scares the life out of me and whittles me down to the level of a chronic spam-ignorer. Train to bronx and THEN a bus? Unless Kubuu's drivin then I don't see that poppin for me ...wait..Kubuu bringing his BMW to the Bronx?... nope.

Play N Trade I can already see won't be looking too fancy because #1, we'd have to stand since there's no seats, and even if we do get seats, all the TVs are elevated and will gradually become uncomfortable to constantly look upwards to. #2, unless ALL the caes for EVERYTHING has no CDs in it, we DO have rampant secret society thieves running around (presumably those bad at brawl and whine about it) and for them, this would be a gold mine. In fact that makes alot of sense! Those who are bad at brawl (and whine about it) would either not join, or join and lose fast...so that gives them enough time to steal something and then leave to go stash it somewhere in case they were checked! Watch out for dudes that have huge bookbags..tons of room to stuff stolen goodies in >_>

yea its not about the danger more about transportation i'd go if someone offered a ride to and from the store but i don't see myself appearing there every weekly.
From what i heard about ppl's opinions on play n trade is its too small and u have to stand for the whole tournament. kinda sux.
I like the idea of still holdin tournies in w2z as long as someone does it and if things get too out of control with the brackets i'll help out if i have to.

Speaking of weeklies, I've heard not too long ago that W2z will do weeklies for us again as long as we get a host who can run it correctly. I mean come on, we was giving them money ****it. They'll let us do it again, I'm sure of it. We just need a host who can run it properly and correctly.

i checked out the venue today and my ni99az spot...............lemme tell ya

that SH*T is HOT. every1 there is madddd cool and its a nice area too. bus leaves u literally in front of the store and the metro north is down the block. they got arcades in the store as well as computers and bathrooms and all that. they got 10 tvs 42 inches and 2 38inches. theres every type of restaraunt around the area and all that so i dont wanna hear no bull. this spot is good so plz help me and bum out by supportin and comin out and showing the ppl that are allowing us to do it there that we are serious and not a joke.

he said he'll even hire security for ya if ya really dat scared of the bx. we can have weeklies again as early as september second week.or even the last week of this month. show da support people.

Does that mean its on fordham? Cuz fordham is tho only commericalized part of the bronx that has a metro-north station

I could really care less about the location of the venue or the travel time.

I live deep in queens so every tourney/weekly/smashfest takes me at least 2 hours to get to anyway.


I wish the one and only venue that could be used was in queens. All you b@stards that had the convenience and comfort with past locations for all these years...

And to the ones bringing up living around a rough area for years as means for others to be able to travel there with no problem... that doesn't make sense

I don't care I travel wherever I want. Sometimes I just wander to random places in boredom

But living in an area gives you a definite advantage over people coming from other places. I've watched dudes get stomped out just bcuz they weren't from the area and ni**as just felt like f***'n wit em cuz they knew it.

And let's be real... I really haven't met a smasher yet that made me say to myself "oh I need to watch out for him" or "oh he's scary." In fact, I'm sure a lot of smashers look like easy pickings to most dudes on the street.

Now if you live in an area for mad long and you still get f****d with, then I don't know what to tell ya... that's definitely teetering on the pu$$y line though...

play n trade is close to 14st union square. the bx one is close to the metro north train. like a block away or two so there is still a train close to it.

I'm chill with any venue. I mean W2Z was convenient in a nice way cause remember, I live in Jersey, so I have to catch a bus into the city at Port Authority, and then take the Subway down to 8th. Getting to the Bronx is just going to mean learning how to get there is all. I grew up in the Bx, and I got family down there, so I ain't afraid of the area or nothing.

And that cab thing is a good idea. Since me and my crew all come together, we'll just have to shell out a bit more tis all.

Just for clarification, Bum, can you post the addresses of all the tentative locations, so I can get a map quest thing going on?
