I wonder why that game isn't on virtual console. I'm yet to play a DK game other than the first one.
Gasp! You must play #2 this instant!

Although I admit, I liked #1 the best, but 2 had a more..epic, feel to it.

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat: "December 11, 2008 JPN"
-There will be new levels.
-There will be enhanced graphics.
-There will be modified level design.
-The game will revolve more around platform game play.
-You will be using the control stick to move, A to jump, and motion controls will be used for things such as punching ememies.
-The game will feature 16:9 widescreen support.
Amazing. I will actually play this game now. Sounds like Nintendo's first real attempt at making a housebrand rival to Rare's DK games. I consider this a half-mile stone.

You know these are the kinda things you would get excited for, like lets go with 360 for instance...

Awesome im gonna get deadspace for christ mas :D!!...wait what SF2 HD?!!!...BIONIC COMMANDO?!!! awesome ill buy them all i guess

But wii its like, So im gonna get...animalcrossin ...or nah wii music....nah...maybe ill just get...a game i bought years ago. I mean its updated, but id like something new to go along with it....

Seriously though, if your gonna remake something dont remake something that I stilll remember each level. Remake super mario 64 with awesome wii graphics! *note not saracasim* OR oot? Dont stop there get rogue squadron....

BUt no we have to get metroid prime 2 a game i already enjoyed just recently. THen again I dont have to buy it, ill buy the awesome original games that dont need graphics...like animal...crossing..you know the one on the gamecube/ds that is you know the same?

Yeah besides the wii rant, this is only good for people who would shell out for motion controls or people who simply havent played the games. But unlike both those catagories i played them, and enjoyed them already and dont see any reason to purchase it again.

If they can add new modes, levels, and graphics they could easily remove L canceling and other advance techs right?

If Nintendo releases melee like that, I will lose all faith I have in them. Please don't do this to us D:
Well quit giving them ideas otherwise it might happen. ;)

Nah, but seriously besides Melee, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn would be another good choice for revamping.

As interesting as the video's look, this still seems like a bad idea to me. The major complaint of people who missed out on the GC era is that "I missed these games and now through the Play on wii, I can experience these classics." The only problem is that the wii has backward compatibility. Plus, GC games are available at almost any major gaming store (gamestop, EB games ect.).

I have to pay even more money on a enhanced version of a game I already own? Everyone who's playing these games for the first time on the Play to wii gets a better version of a game that I've owned for so long. Seems like a pretty bad deal for me.

Sure there are a lot of good things that can come out of this. An upgraded game would be pretty cool (though not worth me having to pay another $40-50 when I could buy a completely new game) and adding wifi on certain games would be great. Other then those two things, I really see no point in the "play on wii".

You wouldn't buy melee with better graphics and 2 or 3 new character and 2 or 3 new levels? I know I would.

I already did, its called Brawl
That's ironic, considering that Brawl is NOTHING like Melee with improved graphics and 2 or 3 more characters would be like.

Have you, by any chance, played the two games?

I hope they get pikmin 2 on the Play on Wii. I lost my copy and they don't carry it anymore at stores. Let's hope they don't ruin it.

Ahhh, yes. I love Pikmin 2.
Pikmin 1, not so much, but Pikmin 2 was freaking amazing. Everything about the game screams "fresh". The graphics are so good.
I hate when my Pikmin die, I really do...so I usually stop playing when they do X_x

Why does everyone bring up melee?

Melee will likely not be getting a remake. If it did, it would likely NOT include new chars. Maybe 1-2 more stages and better graphics but that's it. Also take into account that the game might be edited to take out things like wavedashing, l-canceling ect.

SO many things could be changed. That's not always a good thing.

I'd probably get Pikmin 2 if it comes out in the UK because I always wanted to try that.

If Melee came out and it didn't have all the AT's Melee had, such as wavedashing, I'd still get it because I'd have another SSB game to play.
If it ended up having the Brawl gameplay style then that could make the game appeal to fans of Brawl who either thought Melee was too quick, or don't really care about all the AT's.

Either way- a SSBM remake would be win/win.
