ok i know this is random and all but can anyone nearby help me get better in melee? i hate how everyone plays brawl and say melee is "dead". i know rarely anyone that plays melee these days and we want to improve.

I try and start it up but it says "fail in finding proper screenmode Error Gr2d"

no what i meant is i need more experience against better people than me. i read the guides and video years ago when a friend introduced this to me to competitive smash. this was palmdale crew btw. i just moved a year ago and now have nobody to play against. sorry for being unclear.

ok, well there are a lot of tournaments around here, depending how far you want to drive. Tournaments are when you improve the most imo, because people are giving it their all, and it seems like you learn from your mistakes better in that kind of environment. PlayNtrade in irvine has a tournament about once a month. If you are willing to drive a little bit, you're options are endless.

nope, but there were 2 melee setups last time and i bet you before or after the tournament you can get a bunch of games in

omg a melee tournament in irvine. i live in the university apartments by california and campus. yeah my roommate has a nonlag tv but i have no cube/wii. just a copy of melee and my controller. lol.

well i'm not sure if my house is convenient or not.. plus nobody really knows me (yet). but i live in culver city and would be down to smash, hold a mini smashfest (start a new thread) if you guys seemed interested. Regardless my friend and i are going to smash here around 6 till whenever.
