I personally haven't played the 3DS version at all since the Wii U version came out, but I don't go out much in general so I don't really need a portable version. I see the appeal for others though.

My 3ds never leaves my house. It's my bedside smash fix when I am too tired or lazy to go into the living room and power up the wii u. And now I will say for the record, I must really like the 3ds version, since I tossed away my old 3ds for the promise of a c-stick a few more buttons and a faster load time, not to mention my old 3ds was a much better color.....

And then Lucas could get the Love Theme! Seriously bummed Ness kept the Mother 1 Title Theme. It's not bad, but Smiles and Tears was way better.

I prefer how the Wii U version looks and handles, but the 3DS version is way overhated. I enjoy having SSB on the go, and I'm more of a portable game fan anyway.

Plus, Unova Pokémon League and all of those Awakening trophies.

I thought the current victory theme (Brawls Victory theme) was just an added insult to injury.
I wish he had the Melee/64 victory back.
But now it works Wonders because the brothers from other Mothers are back Together :'D

I have a friend that would not stop taunting me about the 3DS version until I got a Wii U.
What's more annoying is that I know I could beat him easily.

I loved the Melee win theme.
I had not heard the N64 win theme, but I think I like that one even more.

And he's also a party member in Mother 3. And because he's your fastest party member, he's useful for using things like the shield breaking item or healing your party (except sometimes he'll eat healing food he's told to feed to others).

Aside from the obvious , I like Duster the best probably. His thief tools are cool and he's pretty useful. That's not to underestimate Kumatora, of course. If you get her PK Ground, everything becomes a joke. It's like how Jeff suddenly becomes the best thing ever when he gets the Heavy Bazooka.

Think about Salsa in Smash, he'd try to make other fighters laugh, and kill you by manipulating you. (sounds awful but... probably the truth.) That's just how he'd have to fight LOL

I remember panicking when you get Salsa back and realizing how severely underleveled he was... I considered grinding him but turns out that's the last you see of him.

I also thought "Claus" joined your party on Tanetane Island and would actually fight for you for a short time, and that when everyone shows up in Chapter 8 on the Empire Porky Building's top floor, they'd team up with you and help out... Not even Flint joins your party.

Wait is the Heavy Bazooka infinite uses? I **** you not, I literally avoided using it until the final boss because it said "has many uses" but not infinite and I didn't want to waste it.

Omg I feel so stupid for not using it sooner, they should've said "infinite uses" man. On the other hand I already know the stories to both games and I agree that I think Mother 3 is a lot better, and I can't wait to start my playthrough on it!

I think that was the most chilling part about it. Amidst all of Giygas's cries as if there's no more hope left, Paula continues to pray and people around the world begin to pray for your safety. Eventually there's no one left but one man, one random man who wins the goddamn fight for us and Ness keeps praying with all of his might.
