Speaking of the Rope Snake, I hope that thing has a hitbox. I can't believe it didn't have one in Brawl.

Where's my red palette swap from Brawl. I can't play Lucas without it.
also hi people
Yeah, red (or as I called it back in the day, the "Calvin and Hobbes" skin) was always my favorite palette as well.

Ah, ok understood. But honestly, For Fun (playing with friends @ home) has become hell with the GustBellows.
Personally, I would just disable it, then. No matter how relaxed I'm playing, that thing will never be welcome in my sessions.

Oh and @ TumblrFamous TumblrFamous and/or anyone that can edit the thread title, I wonder whether we should change it to "PK Love - Lucas Social: God Boney has returned!" :p

As for the shirts....

In 64, Ness' shirt starts with a blue stripe and ends with a blue stripe (top --> bottom) - though there is a suggestion there's another yellow stripe there.

in Melee it also starts blue and ends blue.

In Brawl however it starts blue and ends in a cut-off yellow stripe.

And in smash 4 it starts off yellow and ends blue I'm pretty sure.

Lucas in Brawl starts off yellow and ends in a cut-off red stripe.

And in smash 4 in actually appears to start off with a red stripe and end with a red stripe. I could be wrong, though.

Here are the images I used to verify, and keep in mind I think the amount of stripes is also something to keep in mind:

And for Lucas:

Doing a quick count of the stripes, Ness' has 4 yellow and 4 blue stripes, even in his select screen pose, whereas Lucas only has 4 red and 3 yellow stripes, right?

The other palettes weren't really interesting to me, so I chose red most of the time. Maybe purple as well. All I can do right now is wait if he still has the red palette swap or something.
No worries if he doesn't have it though lol

How to deal with Gust Bellows as Lucas:

1. Start flying off the stage
2. Click Z
3. Rope Snake will save your life
Not if you're already blown out of the blast zone by it. They can also drop from the stage and keep pressing A, you die, they Z drop and then recover.

They look brighter in SSB4. And honestly, I prefer it- it suits the Mother series better and their personalities than the more muted Brawl colors.

God Rope Snake is the bomb in PM... the FAir setups, the recovery shenanigans, the tether cancel mixups

I hope they make it not-a-garbage-tether this time around.

Super scope? More like Gust Bellows. That thing man... Automatic win button.
Gust bellows? pfft... only if I'm right in the middle of pk thunder or flash.. other wise, jump, dodge etc.. easy to avoid IMO.

Ah absolutely. Ness' Brawl shirt looked so grey-ish at times. :p

@ Indigo Jeans Indigo Jeans - Absorbing the Nintendo Scope charged shot is life-changing. One day, when I have kids I'm going to be playing some smash in my room, absorb the shot, shout "UNNGGH, YES!" and my kids who were listening at the doorway will never speak to me again. :p

Not really, but absorbing something big like that is the biggest smack in the face to Lucario/Samus/WFT players. They get so scared of shooting one ever again, it's amazing. :3

Back in Brawl I've had rope snake save me from one of the beams on spear pillar at like 200%. I didn't tech well and happened to Z-cancel at the right time and Lucas was flying away at light speed and suddenly the snake stretches to maximum capacity and looks like it's about to be ripped in twine and then I was on the ledge. :p

I'd like to see more 3DS stages. I don't know which, but any stage works. It's like people are forgetting about this version

I need to see that Z-cancel. I NEED TO SEE IT, LUCO!

I just noticed something from your sig, Lucas' idle animation while holding Mr. Saturn is the same as Ness's, was it the same in Brawl?
I'm not sure about Brawl, but his idle animation is the same as Ness regardless of what he's holding.

Soft-served icecream hair. It looks so tasty and soft
I want to eat it...

That's because I play it lying in bed winding down for the night. I'm glad I bought it and all, but I just play it when I'm too tired or lazy to switch on my Wii U.

Yeah, haha, I only own the 3Ds so I can only play smash on there. Wish we got smashville on the DS, as well as Delfino.

It'd actually probably be quite difficult to find if you were actually looking for it but I swear on my life it actually happened! :'(

Well I'm on a gap year program in Israel, far from home (maaaaaaate), so I can only play 3DS until the end of this year as it stands. =P

Well, the Wii U version technically, is technologically better.. I would not call it elitism. The game itself on the 3ds is fantastic for what it is and by all means is a full-fledged smash bros game. But you cannot the deny the Wii U version, graphically, audibly etc.. is superior.

However i will say I like the movement better for the control stick on the 3ds rather than the Wii U pro controller. It seems a little bit stiffer on the pro controller.

I prefer how the Wii U version looks and handles, but the 3DS version is way overhated. I enjoy having SSB on the go, and I'm more of a portable game fan anyway.

Plus, Unova Pokémon League and all of those Awakening trophies.

I could, it'd be biased, but I could.

I like the 3ds version just fine. Idiots claiming that people liking it better than the Wii U version are scrubs or whatever just sound stupid. It's a certified smash game. So to each his own I say.
