Pikmin & Olimar Land into Brawl

The character just seems to suck as much as Ice Climbers. No variety in moves, your power is dependant on your level 1 bot controlled slaves, and movement will be irritating when you have to make sure 5 of these guys follow you without dieng.

I like Pikmin as a game, but seriously, just because they have good games doesn't mean they have the potential for a decent Brawl character. So far, alot of Brawl characters have a big variety of moves and plenty smooth movement. (Marth only swings with his danged sword. No variety either. Ice Climbers suck at movement, since Nana is controlled by a level 1 bot, and you have to make sure she doesn't die. And yeah, they also only use freezing attacks and hammers.) Pikmin & Olimar seems to be only put in because they are one of Nintendo's popular franchise's representing characters. Not much thought at all except for making an original and wanted character for Brawl.

Alright. I didn't play as him yet. But I can already tell what he'll be. Please, Nintendo, suprise me and make him a good character, instead of the second Ice Climbers.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I might have misunderstood you, but it sounded like you were calling the Ice Climbers a bad character?

Wow, this update has made me SUPER happy. Not only is Olimar the first new character in a while, and not only is he a cool character/new franchise, BUT he's also Icon 22, meaning that there might still be room for Issac (There's still two icons that aren't taken yet, if one of them is G&W then the other could be something else)

theres a flash movie (which is apparently popular,rightfully so it's hilarious) where Geno says if he's not in the game he's gonna blow up Japan.

Olimar was one of my top three (the other two being Krystal and Ridley, I know i'm generic) so this is awesome news for me. He ties with Ike for my favorite newcomer. Ike wasn't ever one of my most wanted because I didn't play his game till after he was announced on the Dojo. Though I already had liked Ike from what I did know about him once I played RD and PoR I really liked him.

And Olimar turned out just how he should have, I was worried (not too worried but slightly) that he'd be like PT and send Pikmin to do his work, which just wouldn't have fit him.

I was really happy to see this character, not cause im some huge pikmin fan but just cause its another one of those more unique characters (like pokemon trainer) that will have a erally unique feel, now of course everyone will be greedy for special moves but i think we might have to wait till the 24th, anyways this is a cool character, also what could his final smash be?
