Well, it is taking case 4 for the most part. I wouldn't be surprised if they merge case 1, 2, and 4 somewhat due to time constraints.

It's just when you play it, it's from the view of whoever's being cross-examined.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made more movies. I want to see AA2's case 4 as a movie.
In the Japanese version, of the game, everyone is Japanese, with the exception of the von Karmas, who are American. In the North American and other versions, everyone is American, and the von Karmas are German.
So, from a Japanese perspective, von Karma should be American. Also, his name isn't von Karma in Japanese, it's Karuma Gou. Most of the character's names have been changed anyway, so it's natural that they altered his name to make him appear to be German.
