Also, being salty is like being "mad", or being "a sore loser" of sorts.
I heard it originated with the SFIV crowd, but don't take that as 100% fact.

The word "salty"'s been around since the 90's..... I've been hearing it since I was in elementary school, but it was probably a black thing back then.

Oh hell no. You'll get plenty of fursecution here.
Eurofurence has been the biggest furry convention thus far, and I think that was overseas.
That, and on the whole, I really don't have a clue.
Fur example, my Brawl community is, for the most part, tolerant of furries. Other scenes may not be the same.
Then again, having 50% of the SA scene furry (including Prime >:3) probably helps with that.
In most of my experiences, furries are pretty fun to hang around. They be crazy.
...except those fursuiters. Those guys and gals are insane.
Like wild animals.
