Can't speak for PM, haven't been, but Smash 4 Pika boards have been eh. Everybody wants tips, nobody wants to chat, and people keep rotating in and out on a fast clip.

They seem like good peeps, they have potential. But it's going to be pretty lame until that coalesces into a community rather than a loose association. Which doesn't seem impossible, I mean, we got E, Bell, Fizzy, Leaf, and we might even be able to drag some others back in. ****, a lot of us were hyped about the new social when it finally popped up. I still have my eyes on it too, I just suck too much to post there right now.

It's funny, xSoul once suggested spinning off the Q&A thread because it was basically social, now we'd have to spin off the social because it's basically Q&A. That got us our home here though, and the best damn crew there is. Maybe that's a thought?

Nah, man, it ain't that, at least not quite. And I apologize for my comments, in hindsight they weren't warranted.

I think it just doesn't feel like it used to. There's a lot of conversation over there, but it's mostly new players asking questions and trading strategies. Which ain't bad, we need more Pikas kicking ass around here, and that's how **** gets done. We need a place to pass on the wisdom. And we got that, and it's good. And if one of those players goes on to stick a foot up Chimpy's hoo-hah, mission ****ing accomplished, and I'm proud of em.

But most of us kind of just beat around here, honestly. It wasn't tech so much as topic of the day. Nearly from the moment I walked in the door, really. We had a lot of fun and good times. But right now, that just doesn't feel like what it is. And for players like me, who could hardly be called players at all, or for players who love the game, love the peeps, but can't keep up with the levels anymore, cause life or what have you - well, we just don't have much of a place anymore.

That's kind of what I'm lamenting. Deep down I think that's what we're lamenting here in general. Don't take it the wrong way, we're wounded, but we're just in that anger stage of grief. We'll work it out.
Well, 'cept Phoenix. Man's got salt. Keeps it all under his hat, it's what gives him his power.

And another bit. At the heart of it, I think it's us. We all kinda split. Maybe life intervened some - I know it did for me, hence my absence since October or so (holidays...yeesh). I don't want to point fingers or anything, but real talk minute. When's the last time we were so quiet that two pages spanned two and a half months? **** guys. Sure there's a new kid on the block, but we didn't stop being us, did we? Yeah, I know, snark's easy - ****, it's like breathing for us - but seriously. Next topic is what we need, not moaning. We're better than that ****. We're the ****ing PGD. And kudos to the people who've been carrying it on, and I'm sorry I forgot for this long.

I know these things are partly what we make of em, though, so I'll keep believing. Like I said, we still got passionate old guard and promising new guard over there. I see potential.

And hell, xSoul, I'm useless at tech, but if I can do anything to help the new rat pack, you give me word. I ain't dead yet.

Early on the newbies and such will be discussing all the stuff with Smash 4 until they eventually drop it cuz >brawl 2.0
and the fact most newcomers never wanna work hard, usually up to oldies to work on **** and if oldies don't work on **** den board is dead.
If oldies doing work still and no talking, then board needs to stay dead.
Then once the smash 4 hype dies down (or hell maybe even the entire game) in a year and a half possibly, we can go back to being an active social on multiple boards/ours (pika)

Tho let's be honest, 2012 and onwards the socials everywhere were pretty much active in most brawl boards cuz brawl was already slowly crawling to its early death outside of Ny/Nj mdva and cali for obvious reasons. Rulesets cattering to MK oli and IC
