Well, to go point by point:

I'm now immensely glad I had other usernames for that.

I don't blame you, I believe the one time I mentioned it was over a year back. I'm curious as to your source, but not desperately, and I understand the value of keeping it anonymous.

And...well. I've thought on this final point a great deal, actually, to the point where it would be difficult to get it all out in one go. I'll say this.

I'm interesting in person, and usually quite personable, but the caveat, if I'm being honest, is to never underestimate the importance of a good editor. I'm a far more skilled writer than speaker; I don't have a tendency to insult, but I do have a tendency to speak obtusely, and too much besides. It's something I hope can be forgiven if I ever do manage to meet you all in person someday, or corrected by such time.

Also, for the record, I tend to do poorly in crowds, as I tend to want to follow multiple interesting conversations, people, and/or situations at once. Since we met in person at a local tournament (where, on the subject, I scrubbed harder than a goddamn magic eraser), I have little doubt I wasn't at my best.

So does anyone know how the new QAC works? I saw it in a video, and it very well appeared to be in, but in both of the Smash 4 streams I watched, none of the players could seem to do it...

Also, going to a Brawl tournament this Saturday. I think there are like 2 or 3 other actual Brawl players and at least a few Melee guys who are just gonna play Meta Knight and give it a whirl XD. Hoping to place well (or at least beat all the fraudulent MKs).

In the 3DS general they mentioned a few times that QAC seemed more difficult to pull off in that version. That seems like a reasonable explanation, and it's also possible that they're still adjusting to the controls.

Possibly the buffering window for QAC is so early it's like no buffer at all? [That is, it might be almost around startup of the first QA or something silly?]

Or maybe somehow buffering doesn't apply to some ATs?

Dunno, just speculation, we'll see when the game comes out I guess [though FOW was unable to do anything more than ledge cancel it when I watched his stream]. Also curious if Link can bomb jump in the new one (with or without his double jump - in PM for instance, he can do a non-glide toss bomb jump if he has a double jump: throw bomb upward -> double jump -> up+b and BOOM!) [Falco/Link in Melee so I'm curious about that too.]

Also Brawl tournament this Saturday is gonna have gift card awards because campus policy is against giving away actual cash for some reason [viewed as some form of gambling or something]. Still going to it though [some of the Melee Money Knights will be disappointed but I just want to play Brawl].

So... I've more or less gotten over the fact that Duck Hunt Dog made it (would have LOVED it if that character was ICs, Snake, or Lucas instead, but whatever - it's not as bad as if Ridley or K Rool had made it).
