Mewtwo is really fun to play and is my second favorite pokemon to play with after Jigglypuff. However I just like playing him for fun. I'm already focused on Pac-Man and Wario more and kind of Duck Hunt as well. But yeah between Pac-Man and Mewtwo I say that Pac-Man has the advantage.
I played and mained Mewtwo like crazy back in the Melee days right after I unlocked him and I'm more than likely going to pick him back up as a main in Sm4sh.

LOL the smashball.

Is this actually two people playing Samus in a tournament? These people exist? Or it's just for fun?

We got a green Samus called 420Blazeit though. I can't not vouch for him.

On the other hand we got a Rayquaza reference. Now I'm divided, actually.

OK I'll just stop editing and wait for my man to be on stream.

I hope you all enjoyed the commentary guys :D

I go on stream at 1 hour 51 ish

Wasn't a good day for me and the Falcon matchup, question whether it really is in our favour with just how much Falcon gets out of rage…

http://www.twitch.tv/perthsmash/b/651479820 <----
With how easily he gets gimped, he shouldn't be reaching rage against us

Probably just an off day for you, but it's never too late to turn it around.

Air dodges, mixups and his heavy weight don't make it that easy to deal with him off stage or even getting him offstage in the first place. Offstage is scary against Falcon as well because of how quick and powerful Bair is.

Besides, wouldn't it be a better idea to charge up some Fruit?

Idk, I don't like this Matchup as much as I used to because of how long Falcon can live for and how quick and hard to react to he can be.

You simply did too many punishable things at the wrong time and didn't punish his as much. So he did not have anything to do really, just wait until you throw a smash or a grab and punish accordingly. I only watched it once and have to leave now so I can't go in detail, but I feel like this is why you lose. You didn't do particularly bad, you just racked up a lot of damage you could have avoided. I'm guilty of that too.

Mix ups? With his two recovery options?
Even falcon mains acknowledge that their recovery game is horrible.

And no, I wouldn't charge up fruit when I can end it then and there. I charge up fruit when I'm preparing for the future battle on stage...against falcon, this is unnecessary because he shouldn't be reaching the stage again.

He can recover high or low and if he lands his up b on you his recovery suddenly becomes great. Probably me just approaching this the wrong way though

Something I'll definitely work on for next time though. Offstage gimps isn't something I'm too great at though, I usually get whiff because they air dodge. I'll let you know how it goes.

I've had a seriously crap week and I think my play reflected that. The first match I lost I couldn't believe I lost because I (not trying to sound arrogant or anything) was a better player. I just played super, super badly. Played badly in friendlies too. Just wasn't my day today.

Oh well, next time.

Falcon is decent to great in almost every aspect, butthe thing he's really lacking in is his recovery. Meanwhile, Pac is really good at gimping (no problem recovering so you can go deep/good aerials). That means abusig the gimp is something you should do.

His UpB is indeed dangerous, but just try not to get at a 45 degree angle above him and you should be fine.

His recovery doesn't cover that much distance, so there's situations where he sinply cannot air dodge because that'll get him too low to recover after that. There's less air dodge mindgames than with, say, Villager.

Also, since he can't do both, it's easy to predict if he will UpB or SideB depending on what his position is.

So don't give up, simply don't be afraid to go offstage and keep practicing.

If you're on walled stages (heck, pretty much any stage):

Get grabbed by his up B -> Get blown up -> Tech wall jump -> Fair chain him to his death.

If he's airdodging your edgeguard attempts, trying using Fair more effectively. You should be able to Fair > something else before he recovers from airdodge lag.

I don't like fighting Falcon either. If he lives long, things go downhill very quickly. However, we're well equipped to end him offstage so practice that. Go deep for edgeguards and remember that you're Pac-Man: you're coming back.

I played my friend's Lucario more last Tuesday, and I feel more assured of what I said back then. Slightly his favor because we can't KO well and aura, but that's about it. Nothing about the character feels like he invalidates us, but he exposes lack of KO power really well. As I've said, Sonic still scares me the most.

Would you like detailed feedback on your play like what we've been doing in the video thread? (I still need to finish watching BSP's videos first though; meant to do that a while back but been busy).

Oh! That's Marth's FE1 sprite!

(Also, I meant to say signaure. Not avatar. Whoops.)
Oh ok I did not recognize him lol. And I don't recall seeing him before in your avatar, but that is certainly a lack of observation on my part coupled with the placebo effect of ''searching for something new in the avatar''. Now that I think about it I don't recall Pac holding something else in his hand.

Anyway, the signature looks good. I don't know who the chibi is supposed to be either (I know nothing Jon Snow), but I like it. Are the other smash characters your secondaries? The Toad hat is cool too.

Oh, yeah. He's been in there for awhile. He's definitely not the focus, though.

The Chibi is "Pacack" in the form of a Fire Emblem class, in this case a Bishop from Radiant Dawn. Note the Pac-Man staff. The Toad is also me, from the old Toad support thread.

The other characters are indeed secondaries of mine. I main Pac, with Marth being a secondary/co-main. Everyone else I use significantly less, but do indeed use.

Oh that's cool. Yeah the staff is actually the first thing that caught my attention and I absolutely love the idea. I'd hold that.

And uh....... where are the mitts though? Not that I want to do this a third time over again, but weren't you pro-mitts?

I use a combination of mitts and default. Default is actually more my go-to because I grew up with the Pacster.

I put on the oven mitts when I want to roast my opponent. :4pacman:

Would appreciate it although most of it will probably be "you're bad" because I know I wasn't playing very well that day. Not happy with myself at all.

Take a look at the commentary I've given to others so far. Saying stuff like "You're bad" doesn't help anyone and is just rude. The point of critique is to help the person being critiqued improve on things they may not have even known they needed to improve on. I will try my best to give constructive criticism and help you level up regardless of what your skill level might be.

Sorry I'm just overly negative about my play yesterday. It wasn't at the level I expect from myself. I wasn't being critical of your criticism (critception), merely critical of my own play.
