Plaid Pac is best because of the following reasons@Spirst

Just kidding guys, I got love for that alt too, I just find it weird. I guess I just need to play with it more to be honest.
1) It's silly. Pac is silly. Therefore this is the best because it's like ultimate silly
2) It's trollish. I mean, who wants to get beaten up by a guy wearing oven mitts? Not me…
3) It's unique. No other character in the game has an alt as god like as this one.
4) You can come up with a nickname for it. I haven't got one yet but some of the other lads had good ones.
5) You can yell badass things like "Time to bake you an apple pie!" as you kill people with an apple. Or if you're 1337YoloSwag420noscope enough like me, you can get an apple, into apple kill combo and then say "Coming soon, the iLadder, a new product from Apple" (I shamelessly saved that replay).

So who knew that you could press and hold the special button during Super Pac-Man to make him go faster? I feel dumb for just finding this out now. Why don't they tell us these things? :\
I wanted to do some labbing with Dire Hydrant, but the game just will not give it to me. Tonight, last night, AND the night before last, I spammed Master and Crazy orders for hours and still haven't gotten the Dire Hydrant >_>

Is it fast enough to use as an attack?
Maybe? On Smashville, if you use Super Pac-Man from the left edge, facing left, and just let Pac-Man keep going left, he'll make 2 laps and stop about halfway to the left blastzone. If you hold the special button the entire time, he'll make 3 laps and a quarter of the way to the blastzone.

It's still a Final Smash, so, y'know, not legal, but that makes it SO much better.

Now when I play casually I can destroy everyone with the glorious Waka Waka instead of them running away the whole time
Oh, and you unlock dire hydrant by scoring at least 200000 points on Stage 2 of target blast in a single game.

Well that settles it then, I think we should have a "Gloves are on" Duel to determine the best Pac alt. Representatives of all Pac alts 1v1 in a massive duel to determine the 2nd best alt (the oven mitts will obviously win). It'll sort the Pac boys out from the Pac-Men (har har).

Ok, I've used Oven Mitts Pac now and I can say it's marvelous.
Cooking puns are best puns, the colors are really fitting, but not bland (but I still don't like the pinky shoes) and it fits his eating theme way too well.
I'll use this alt in the lab, to see what I can cook up.
EDIT: Not to mention Pac-Mitts is two tiers higher than his fellow none-cooking brethren.

The above video is pure, unaltered, historical evidence of how much of an impact Pac-Man left on popular culture, especially during the 80s. Pasta based on the cartoon based on the video game. How many video games can say they have that? And that was in the 80s, too, before video games were even considered mainstream. Pac-Man really broke new ground and entrenched itself into the public consciousness. It was truly the Angry Birds/Candy Crush of its day.
