How is that even scum hunting, though?
It looks like fake scum hunting to me, since anyone (including someone as stupid as myself) could come to the same conclusion that you did without even questioning you just by reading the thread. Asking those questions when the answers weren't obvious as all hell WOULD make him townie. Unless Chibo is completely ********, then he shouldn't have had any reasoning as town to ask those questions. The answers were already out there. The only questions that were even not stated directly in the thread were questions like "Why did you ask this when someone could easily shoot you down?" and even that question is half-*****. A simple answer saying "Krystedez was viewing the thread, so no one would have had enough time to shoot it down", "Because people would watch to get a reaction on a player they can't read accurately due to him giving noob town or scum tells", or "The only person that would ruin a gambit like that would either be dumb town or scum, and we can figure out the difference between those two based on their previous play."... Any of those would have covered that and they're all half-***** answers.
The questions were completely pointless and I don't see any reason as to why you consider them "Genuine scum hunting" when it could be compared to "Fake scum hunting".
I did have reasons to ask those questions.
I have been playing this entire game so far under the assumption that this game was filled with roles from past OS games, and roles that OS created for those games but never made it in. As I mentioned earlier in my sprint of posts, this is the quote from OS that threw me off:
Some of my favorite roles are in this game. A few I sadly had to set aside for balance reasons, a few I didn't like as much added in for the same reason, but all in all this is an all-star cast and will more than likely be one of my favorite games.
I originally understood the underlined there as a few of the roles (that are in this game) were set aside (in other games) for balance.
I also figured this would be the case since I figured that having a mafia game where every single role being a power role that was basically revealed already is a bit insane. All someone has to do is claim a character, have no counter claims, we check the role pm from the past game they were in, then confirm that they can do those powers without any reasonable doubt. I figured that the past removed roles would keep this game in the OS style, be a way for OS to use the roles he wasn't able to, and add a sense of mystery into the game.
So for the entire game so far, I have kept this in mind. I saw Bardull do what he did, and noticed the name Dr. Strange. I looked up Super Heroes Mafia (one of the only OS games I didn't play), and noticed that Dr. Strange wasn't in there. Bardull revealed that Dr. Strange was basically a day time Jack of All Trades. Definitely potentially (? lol) game breaking, and could have been removed from Super Heroes (the mafia game Strange woulda fit into), so that is where I started this idea.
So then I figured, ok, that's his claim. It works. Then I noticed that Bardull was lying when he said it was fake, but something didn't seem right. The stuff he copy pasta'd.... That appeared to be WAY too legitimate. I've known OS for quite a while and have also played in the majority of his games, it felt way to legit to create on a whim. Down to using Inui in the example, which OS often does stemming from an old rivalry of theirs.
So, I thought the power info he posted was true, true in the way that it came from OS. But the power was obv false though, nothing happened. So how else could Bardull have had that piece written by OS? A fake claim. That's why I questioned in, and that's my case on it.
Then I later realized every role in this game is directly from a past games, so one of two things happened:
1. OS gave scum fake claims from false roles lol, which wouldn't happen since they would be caught too easily since we know Strange doesn't exist.
2. Bardull is amazing at writing and copying OS' style lol
