Plus he is on the 5th Gym leader (I believe) and he hasn't got cut or secret power!!! OMG

Khanczar, the odds are 1/8192 i think :embarrass
wow! what're the odds of that? out of a bunch of people that play ssbm and pokemon, we're probly the only two that use Falco and have a shiny Flygon ^^ thats pretty coolHehehe... We both use Falco, and we both have a Shiny Flygon!
You could of just used a simple answer, like "it's the same as an encounter" that would of saved some much typing time. What are the chances of hatching a shiny pokemon if you breed a shiny pokemon with a non-shiny pokemon? I heard in G/S it was 1/64 but is it different in current games?
Big House #1, the chances for a shiny to be born are REALLY low, but based on the Monte Carlo method, used in many games. (Basically a REALLY LONG algorithym and probability, used with random numbers that are not really random, like a dartboard spilt into four sections, and that to get to your goal the "dart" MUST land on the exact point in the exact location at the exact time.) I find the possibility that your ID number is one of the "random numbers" along with the time of when you finish the game. These are only my theories whatsoever.
But it is possibly true that getting an egg to be a shiny pokemon in it is exactly the same as getting a shiny out in the open. (In which that is 1 out of 8192, for encountering a shiny) Otherwise that's about 8192 eggs, usually less, around the 50 egg or more of only one kind of pokemon such as a Sableye, to be born a shiny.
(Though my twin sis got our first shiny in Ruby, a Hariyama. We even used it to breed but it does not effect the chance in any way of getting a shiny. We bred with it alot!)
I haven't every played Gold or Silver though, only Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness, but have gained a worth of 5-8 years of experience from my brother. The Monte Carlo method part I got from reading the internet, and my twin sis. Since it's used in casinos for gambling, and is the real "luck" thing is most games, including online games like Conquer, Runescape, etc. because throughout my luck in games, in Conquer I got a dragonball luckily by killing a monster (rare).
And that's all I have to say. (Pretty long for a FLCL crazed asian, huh?)
1000 hours? It sounds like you lead a boring life, lol. I still haven't found pokerus.i caught a shiny miltank in gold and i've put well over 1,000 hours in my game. I've raised so far 52 lv. 100s, (most of which were in Dodrio-3xSpeed Mode in stadium2) and in all this time a freakin' miltank? -___-
on a related note of "Luck" and whatnot. I've gotten POKERUS twice. Once on my original Gold Version file, and once again on my 2nd.
And they say thats just as rare as a shiny.
There's this person I hate who got a shiny Articuno. He showed me. (He's a friend of my friend and we were both over at my friend's house.) Although, I have a feeling he cheated, it wouldn't be very out of character of him.
thats REALLY lucky but im not sure u'll get 2 more but mayb if u really tryI got extremly lucky in my Ruby game and somehow managed to get a shiny Treecko, Cascoon, Meditite, and Beldum. I'm in the process of building an all shiny team but its been slow work finding two more pokemon for it.
We bred with it alot!
We bred with it alot!
Shiny Pokémon can be everywhere, as long as the 'normal' Pokémon are there also catchable of course. For example, you can catch Shiny Pidgeys wherever you can encounter a Pidgey.I did here there was a shiny rhyhorn in Victory Road Silver/Gold, but I never saw it. I assumed that it was a joke, but you saying it obviously proves that it was true. Dam, I should have looked harder, lol.
Woah, then that's pretty uber.Ecstatic. I was at his house when he caught itIs that proof that he didn't cheat?
