Basically how thingie summed up everything. It all makes so much good sense as to why luffy would be seperated from the crew go to the prison by himself reach the bottom but not in time because of the poisen meaning ace was already of to the war and then they had to make their way all the way back their.
**** Oda is just a genius. Mangellan or what ever that poisen guy at impel down is definatly going to some how appear at this war or block the WB pirates escape as they are on their way. He did say he will get Luffy he looked mad aswell when he said it lol. Then again the magma admiral said HE WON'T LET LUFFY escape the same when Mangellan said yet luffy is still escaping. =D Go LUFFY YOU CAN DO IT WOO.

Absolutely incredible chapter. So ****ing sad though.
Those last two pages are by far my favorite pages in all of One Piece.
Before this arc I didn't care much for Edward Newgate, but hot ****, he's one of the best characters in the whole series.

Those with the will of D. are distend to get One Piece. Or something of that sort. but the more i think about it it dont come together that well since Gol D. Roger offered it to anyone who can make it there.Those last two pages are by far my favorite pages in all of One Piece.

It's funny when i saw what Roger was about to tell Whitebeard what D was then the flash back ends.
It's intresting that whitebeard said blackbeard isn't one of them aswell which is really dam intresting. Also whitebeards last words of ONE PIECE EXISTS was just epic. This whole chapter was epic.
One piece can go on for another 500 chapters lol theres so much.

Surprised I never saw this thread before. I love One Piece!
Whitebeards's death is probably the most epic one I've ever seen. He died on his feet and stood there like a monument of a legendary warrior and the fact that he had not a single scar across his back is mad beast. I just wish he had did more damage to Teach. Flash backs with Gol D. Roger were pretty cool too.

this was probably the longest 1 this entire arc. and the reason why they feel so short is because ha has been doing spreads for most of this arc
Whitebeard would of killed BlackBeard easy it's the fact that Blackbeard needed his whole crew to finish off whitebeard makes whitebeard even more beastly.
And the fact that he never turned his back around to anything which is why he has no damage on his back. Shows he never backs away from hits he either blocks them or takes them.
We finally know Blackbeard weakness which was quite obvious anyway that he has crap defense so if Straw Hats ever do vs the Blackbeard pirates i sense luffy giving the most hardest punch to Blackbeard and killing him.

Who's whitebeards or Luffy's?
Whitebeard owned blackbeard with his sword and luffy even without his ability can punch really hard.
There was one time where luffy punched this guy who was a somthing begining with t i can never get it right nore spell the name lol.

All right, my theory on the Will of the D.
Back when, a long time ago, the Ancient Kingdom that Professor Clover spoke of was thriving. They were a great kingdom with a mighty populace who developed the Ancient weapons and was very advanced. But, the other Twenty Kingdoms felt the need to overthrow them and get power themselves. They did and the Ancient Kingdom (and it's language) died, for the most part.
I believe this kingdom was home of the Name D. Whether they were the rulers, or just the inhabitants, I can't say, but they were an integral part of the Ancient Kingdom. When the Twenty Kingdoms attacked them, they knew that it was an unjust/power grab revolution. When the Ancient Kingdom fell, the few D's that were left scattered. They knew what happened; that the Twenty Kingdoms that destroyed their civilization eventually turned into the World Government and they hated them for it. In turn, the WG tries to destroy all remnants of what happened; destroy the poneglyphs, ban anyone from speaking about them, calling Roger "Gold Roger" instead of "Gol D. Roger", etc. Don't want their secret get it out.
But these carriers of the D, they're the remnants of this strong race (as evinced by the strength of those who hold it). But the actual Will of D is something else. When WB says to Teach that he isn't the "man that Roger was waiting for", I think he means this:
Roger was waiting for another ancestor of the Ancient Kingdom (another D) to overthrow the WG. It is the "Will of the D", maybe even a play on an actual will left by the mostly dead race that is the D's. Teach doesn't see this; he doesn't care about fighting against the WG, the world's great evil force. Maybe he doesn't know about the history (as Dragon most certainly does), but neither does Luffy. But Luffy fought for his friends and family in the face of this evil foundation; it was a selfless act to do good. He is a true D; he's one of the Ancient Kingdom. Teach, though he is in lineage, isn't.
That is my take on the Will of the D. I think Dragon may also fit into the "man who Roger was talking about", though it's most likely going to be Luffy.

That's excellent, but what about D's working for the WG?
I am thinking they kind of fall into the category of Teach: they don't know and therefore aren't completely opposed.
Garp, while arguably one of the more good people in the series, most likely doesn't know of the foundations of which the WG was built. Saul would probably be similar. Dragon most likely learned about it at some point and started his revolution because of it. Garp isn't the man Roger was looking for because he doesn't have that innate sense to go against that grain. Even though Garp pushed Luffy to become a marine, he willingly chose to be a pirate regardless. The same thing was probably done for Dragon.

I sure hope he isn't alive still. It wouldn't make an ounce of make-believe sense.Maybe Gold D. Roger is still alive and waiting for Luffy on Raftel Island.

Man alive... The Strawhat Pirates vs. the Blackbeard Pirates is going to be so intense. I wonder who will face who...
I'm actually wondering what Zoro's gonna be like when he comes back too. Maybe he'll have become powerful enough to face Mihawk? That'll be an awesome fight to see when it happens.

That makes him basically invincible. I seriously cant think of one person who could take him on now. He can create black holes and shatter people/the earth at the same time? He basically has control of the Earth and Space (to a small extent of course).
I wonder how Oda is going to get him to lose because at this point I really cant think of a single thing beating him. He already had one of the few devil fruits that, as Robin said, have close to no weaknesses (I remember her saying something like that about Eneru's fruit) but now he has 2 (granted, the Gura Gura isn't a logia so its not EXACTLY the same).
I really hope he loses the Gura Gura at some point someway.
