Also icecream, the wavedashing thing is like an obvious attempt to troll lol

I actually haven't played through a gen 5 pokemon game yet, but I know the plot of both BW and BW2, and I played the battle simulator "Pokemon Online" when Gen 5 was first released in Japan. I gave it up though, because I thought the metagame was always either unbalanced, with 1 (maybe 2) viable team(s), or unstable to the point that matches were too heavily based on pokemon match-ups and luck. Smogon didn't seem to know how to manage the new format very well, so I went ahead and quit playing Pokemon since.

I quit the competitive metagame for pokemon late B/W1 because weather was just bad. 4th Gen OU and UU was super fun though, I had a blast with that.

yeah, weather really limits the creative possibilities in the game. Smogon also enacted some of the dumbest, convoluted clauses ever. It's alright to have Garchomp as long as you don't have sand veil, but Blaziken is entirely banned because of speed boost? For some issues, they say banning the entire pokemon is necessary because they don't want to draw the line else where, but then they make up stupid clauses like "No Drizzle + Swift Swim" clause.

If I were to host any pokemon event, I would ban all Dream World abilities. Someone complained to me that that would make it barely any different from Gen 4. I replied with "I'm sorry that most dream world abilities are so far from balanced." Really though, some of the abilities sound like yugioh cards.

When I did play 5th gen, I used a sun team and Venusaur was too good. That growth and Solarbeam with a Life Orb did so much damage :)

haha, I choked so hard. I had three stocks to his one on that second game!...Plus gandw is a bad matchup. But it's gonna happen at LTC. A bounty hunter will not lose to a 2 dimensional character anymore :p

I have little experience with P:M, but whatever, LTC will still be good, and I have a chance of winning the Am. Bracket at least.

We have a nice handful of players now that like PM, but no one that cares enough/has enough influence.
I don't have time to travel to DFW.

If you guys host a tournament in Austin and post it on here, I'm certain some of us will show. We might be hosting events soon here in College Station since we recently got a Fighting Game Club recognized here at A&M. It's pretty much in the center of Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.
