Welcome Drueinas, it's good to see that the wave of new members is remaining constant Hope to see you at the tournament and Smashfests I'm a Marth-user too so I can give you some tips with him if you need any. Also, if you need to say something else but already posted, you can just use the edit button to add it onto the post you already made

Reno, if the songs aren't super-obscure and impossible to find *cough*King'ssongonEvolution*cough* you can just give me the names songs and the artists and I should be able to get them through "means" and "ways"

haha nice to meet you Drue, man where were all these people when we aere having smashfests all the time, and the tournament, who knows maybee the outcomes would have been different lol.

Any way I arleady had an other idea for the begginging of the comboe vid of OK.

Here it is, at the beggingng we use AR and go to Final destination and turn the backround off, then we have each of our main characters for everyone one by one fall from the top of the screen and with the camear facing directly infront of our character.

We have each character do a fancy little show off thing like this. A fox say Lee's comes in and the backround is black and the fox does double short hop lasers shooting at the Camera he then wave shines towards the camera short hop neutral A fast fall, up smash and then side B's straight at the cameara and is gone, then the next character comes in from the sky falls down and does the same.

And we do that until we we have gone through everyone. lol, so To make it easier to make I think it would be easier for me just to do everyones while I have the AR and can use everyone fancy looking, if you want something specific just say so and I will pull it off for you, it just makes it easier to make if you know what I mean.

lol meister to make your life easier nothing happend in the past 4 pages we just got a new member and talked about music, just choose your favorite song and give it to Zinth lol then when we make a comboe vid when it is your turn for the comboes we play that song for you. Easy right lol.

Any way I think it is better the way I said for one it looks cooler with that opening, and then we can have an opening song and then the normal vid and then an ending song.

And like I was thinking at the end when it shows a pic of everyone and and half of the screen their character, maybee it would also say like words at the bottom like Hobbies and like if any special talents like amazing Drummer, or like Incredible drawer or something like that we put that in to.

but thats just me so what do you all think.

Oh right, out of Reno's ideas for introducing each player, I liked A the most. We don't want to make it too similar to Evolution, because if it becomes a direct comparison, we will definitely lose that one. Also, I can make some cool pictures for the names.

Is the combo video gonna be made at the Smashfest? If so do I need a theme song to? Sorry if this has been posted before, but I can't find where it says.

Hmm Shade the idea seems alright......but I think that would take too long and would seem a bit boring. Also I don't want someone acting as me...I am sure other people don't want that as well.

Hmm, I kinda have to agree with Scud on the idea. We don't want to make people sit through a lot before they get to watch the **** video, lol.

Akasuna, we'll most likely be gathering footage for the video at the Smashfest. I'll have to back up my tapes so I can record over them. Thanks to Scud, I now know how to get rid of that pesky black line. And yes, we'll need you to have a theme song eventually.

eh, not a rob or white zombie fan. but concerts are a great way to have fun.

KOS-MOS, what day are you working? as one of our best, we should make that the day of the smashfest, so that kos-mos can come to the tourny.

drueinas- yes, you will need to shorthop with marth like a mofo


shade- your idea is the same as mine, except i was thinking of putting the pictures of each person with their character with the intro song, and save the group picture for the end. and again, the combo thing will take a little too much time, considering there are like, 20 of us. i like the idea of more info than just the handle, though.

so it's like:
beginning- intro song plays while a split screen comes up with a character on the left, and the gamer on the right, with his handle and other info(first name, age, hobbies, whatever) going one at a time until everyone is introduced OR basically the same thing but instead of having a picture of the character on one side and gamer on the other, have a picture of the gamer on one side and info on the other side, with "main character" and "secondary characters" as part of the info.

middle- each person's handle is written in a unique font on whatever color background they choose, then footage of them is played to their song. this is done one at a time until every character is done. pretty simple.

end- whoever's vid is last, their music continues but their footage ends OR a new song is played(leave that up to editors), while a group picture is shown, and one at a time, each person is replaced by the character they use, until everyone is a toon, then blackout, thanks for watching, end!




and scud asked if i might be able to have him, grav, and shade over tomorrow...and, i'll get back to you on that about 6, when i know for sure, but it should be fine. and, should be fun, if you guys can come XD

i found "tomorrow", but my version doesnt have a quote at the beginning, but like half way through it. its 7 minutes long, in case thiers in extended version or something. but yeah, itd be good, and better with volume turned to max.

and im 99% sure i could come over, if i got a ride, otherwise itd be pretty hard, you might even have to pick me up in edmond, if i cant get over to shades, but well see when theres more details. and im pretty sure shade cant, since hes got work on saturday, but im not sure, and im not him.

and im fine with anything anyone else comes up with. for some reason im having a really hard time reading those ideas, and turning them into something i can see. i guess tis just a slow day.

but yeah, i went to the dentist, and she was new at it, and not that good, but it was ok, cuz she was pretty cute, and didnt hurt me that bad.
and apparently i have a tooth that wont grow in, so they have to do surgery on it. the whole idea of anesthesia kinda creeps me out, i mean, even laughing gas disturbed me...

but yeah until then i have a gap where i have no tooth.

Lol, last night I had a dream where my brain got operated on and I had a heart transplant. I remember putting on a mask and going unconcious. Afterwards, I like, wasn't supposed to read or do anything that would stimulate my brain for awhile, but some of you guys kept bugging me with stuff and I wasn't able to get to sleep like I was supposed to (in the dream). I have to work the weekend of the 29th... I was thinking since Rasta isn't back yet and we only have like 2 weeks to make plans... and July seems to be a weird time for kansas and texas to come down here at the same time... why don't we move it to early August before everyone goes back to school? Just my suggestion.

Oh yea I could join the smashfest for a little bit but then I would have to go back to work.. so yeah >_>.

Ahh guys you had me wrong its not a comboe thing at the beginning, there would be a small little show off thing for each character it would be about 3 seconds long per person, thats like an extra minute lol.
Its not an actually fight so I didn't think it woul matter who did it lol but whate ever well have to do it the next smashfest if so.

And I don't know about you guys but I think it makes more since to show the actual players at the end, since they be like ahh man I wonder who is diong all that lol, then at the end thers what I already said. And i what kinda of opening exiting song goes with just pictures changing evey 4 seconds, kinda a lame and boring way to start in my opinion, and it would seem to be better if it was just at the end, however if every single one of you thinks other wise, then I cant do anything about it. So go on and discuss it so I can see what happens lol.

And sasori yah find a song lol, its not to hard.

well, i think the 22nd will be the date, then, since it was kind of planned a long time ago and there seem to be just as many conflicts other times as that day.

um, but if scud can't make it, then
and i'd need a new double's partner...but no one can replace scud.


i will be gone early august, but one thing we can do is have bimonthly smashfest tournies, just small ones at someone's house with no charge, for OOSers, and then every third, which would be every 6 months, we can have another state tourny at a bigger location and have the real tournies.


but, i dunno, that rythem doesn't matter right now. basically, it should be on the 22nd, since we planned it for so long, and there are not any gained benefits in moving it.



edit: shade- the pics would take more like 10 seconds between each change, but, whatever works. i don't think it's boring, if the music is exciting enough, and we don't look like total dorks, then they'll stick around for the vid. and if they think it's boring they could always skip the intro. it's no less exciting than 3 second combos, in my opinion.

I have an idea for the video. Why don't we just like have a basic intro thing, and then have each person's picture, name, character and such before each of their corresponding segments? Then we can have a group picture at the end along with the credits, and there won't be any long, non-comboey parts that have to be sat through except the credits, but that's the credits so it's ok.

hey i have an idea. we need some sort of categorical database to keep track of all these ideas. i mean seriously...everyones had like 15 ideas. i cant keep track of it anymore. i feel like using that stupid smily with the googly eyes, but i dont use smilies.

and i remember when you hated smilies, zinth. back in the good old days of elementary school. man, those were the days. except thursdays. cuz in 5th grade we didnt have anything on that day, and on others it was like, music, or art or something.

and that crazy bridge building game. youre supposed to like, team up and build a bridge, but me and zinth like, sent nukes to each others capitals, and dropped in troops all over the country side.

but yeah you should of seen me, in elementary school, or even before i got rid of my ponytail. yeah i had one. but i tried to wear these pants form like 8th grade the other day(actually like 7 months ago, but the memories still fresh), and they were like 5 sizes too big.

but yeah, i imagine itll be a long time before we actually move out of the planning stages for this combo vid, since were gonna need a lot more footage then we have, and we really need some footage against some big names, so we should probably wait for one or two MLGs, but thats just my opinion on things.

ah, both of my parents are deceeased, so it's just my sister and i. and she'll either be gone most of the evening or be locked up in her room, so we have the den/living room/whatever you want to call it. she said it's fine as long as we "don't do anything terribly illegal."
but, i only have a couch, and a recliner, and i think scud called the couch. but, he was being ubergay and asked if he could sleep in my bed with me. ha, actually that's probably what we'll have to do so no one has to sleep on the floor, but...make sure you bring PJs, scud.

and, everyone bring a pillow, and a blanket if you're specific about it, but we have extra blankets and sheets if you want one.

and yeah, if you're the one giving the ride, shade, contact scud for directions, or contact me on aim if you need them before you can contact him.

and so that's that. it's official the only thing is, i am never ready for company until about 6 or 7 pm, so yeah. but, we have the whole night to smash.

Hey Drueinas, you made it just in time! Alright, originally the tournament date was scheduled for the 22nd. Until recently, a handful of out-of-staters (particularly Dallas/FW) requested that we move the tourny a week after, unto the 29th. In return, they promise to participate in our tournament, and that could help get the word out for our OK events (considering they are well-known in the SW). Unfortunately, the host of the tourny (RastaImposta) is on vacation and we have no idea if he already made reservations for the 22nd. I highly doubt the 29th will be the official one though, but nothing is guaranteed until Rasta gets back

Sorry if that is a bit late and all, lol. Anyways, I'll pm you all the info I currently have over the tourny (address, rules, etc) later tonight. Feel free to ask any questions you may have, hope you can make it

PS- Oh and don't worry about Pay$, I defeat him in every respectable category Especially the cool factor
