Oklahoma Thread: Weekly events for all games in OKC and Tulsa

Whoa I'm late, let's set things straight just a little....

Your crew can bust up mine? hmm we will see. im almost certain my marth,gabes falcon and SideEffects fox can bust up ALL of yall. im thinking middle of july would be the best time to fight....yall agree? need better time? Also, i would like to know where we could meet at and maybe discuss housing issues. i only mention housing because an 8-10 hour drive is very long and WE would be very grate-ful if yall could spare a floor or attic or so for us to sleep on.

If you think we meant anything like that, it was probably in response to G@BE and when you didn't take me seriously on the Pichu $mm. My intentions to $mm is to bring out the best in a player. Not because I think I'm going to win. I forgot that challenging someone with a Pichu may come off as cocky, but Pichu is my main character, and I want to see how well it'll stand against Houston's best Marth. No one here is talking noise, just letting you guys know that we are not going to get "*****".

As for housing, I'm sure we could find someone, we won't leave you guys out in the cold (or the heat in this case). Whenever you guys get that date set, Be sure to let us know. I'm confident that you'll be able to get a hold of most of us if you tell us the day your coming in a week's advance.

I doubt you needed to tell him to calm down. We're not into to that whole ordeal ourselves, it's just that things sometimes get misinterpreted over the process of putting thoughts into words, and then conceived into someone else's. We're all up for fighting some O.O.Staters, and I hope you have a great time here.

As for the tourny issue, we were planning one for this summer anyways. We could have at someone's house if you prefer.

You're right that you didn't talk "smack", but he's not talking about you individually. You guys ARE representing Houston, correct? So is it wrong if we acknowledge you guys as a whole? Yo TGM, July 20th-23rd sounds good with me. I'll discuss housing arrangements with everyone and I doubt you guys will need to pay for food (unless you want to). So just wait for everyone else to get out of school today and see what they think.

Currently Vegafuse is the only person that doesnt have school that posts regularly on the boards. Im at school right now, so thats why I am able to post, only 12-1pm Im able to post though, after that I gotta wait till 4.

I cant house you guys, sorry about that, because there is already 7 people living in my house, plus Ive got a lot of reptiles, and plan on getting more. I dont know how you guys feel about snakes and ****, I also play the drums for a couple hours a day, I dont want you guys to be annoyed with that, because it can get annoying.

To me, you guys sound like the pricks, challenging us and saying we will get *****. Wed be more than happy to play you any time, remember, in Oklahoma there is nothing to do, really NOTHING TO DO. What do you think I do all day? If I lived in the woods, Id go out looking for snakes all day, but I dont, I play Smash a good 6 or so hours a day on weekends, 4 hours on weekdays (cant play drums after dark, so I gotta get it in when I get home at 4).

If you guys dont want to enter the tourny, then I might aswell have it on a different date after you guys come. If its not gonna happen, the smashfest will probably happen at my house from 12am-12pm (parents got a lil edgy last time, so its a good 12 hours to be safe, they cant get mad at that...can they?)

Guys, Ill make a new dvd with all the matches on it from the fights with the Houston players, Ill try and get everybody an individual dvd so you can see yourself figh tmost of the time and notice what you did wrong.

TGM I accept your challenge. I've read everyone of yalls posts in this thread and I can see why everyone on here is getting so uptight with you guys. You guys may not mean it in a bad way but the way you came about was like "OMG we only n33d 3 peepz to beet theez Okies LOLZ!11one" attitude and I'm sure it pissed off a lot of people.

I don't care if you beat me TGM, heck I don't care if you 4-stock me. I just want to enjoy playing you guys and not have to be so tense like my smash career is on the line in every match. Just come down here, we can have a good time playing smash and maybe become friends.

How about you both come to Austin since we will be having tournaments/biweeklies. You both can travel to a neutral place (i know it is a bit farther for Oklahoma) and you will have a lot more people to impress.

Having little post wars is petty and annoying. Come settle this in Austin.

Austin is trying to bring the south together so the South will have better tournament results. All other regions have these smash fests because the good players are close together; we must travel to overcome this obstacle. If the south does not come together to play we will always be behind.

If anyone wants to play the austin crew let me know. We can put some money on it.

Okay, second, The Great Marth, those videos on my filefront are about four weeks old.

Third, SideEffect001, the blue Fox in those videos is Shade.

Fourth, Rasta is correct in saying that I main Marth, and I also play Fox and Sheik, all red. There are also some other characters that I play sometimes, but I'm not as good with them.

Fifth, I think it'd be cool if you guys just came over to play us for a few days.

Sixth, I like your reasons for challenging us TGM, and, quite frankly, I'm stoked to play you all! I've always wanted to play out-of-state people.

Lol, that was somewhat random. For Windows, which I'm guessing you use, I don't believe that I know of any. However, if you download iTunes (which will definitely work) or QuickTime, those should be able to play them.

Yayuhhz, Marth ditto! I'll fight against all of you with all of my other characters as well. This is an uncommon opportunity for me! Don't want to waste it! I'm really looking forward to being able to get some recording against OOSers!

And yeah, I personally enjoy playing a lot of friendlies against everyone at a Smashfest over playing a few people a couple of times in a tourney. For me, tournies are for money and fame. Of course, if the tourney has enough TVs for friendlies, that's pretty cool too!

Ok I don't check for a few hours and its been up by 5 pages,

First off to all the players from huston, and other places, I look forward to having some matches with you all. Beat me or not, I could care less about my reputation, its cool with me.

The vids are very old and I don't want any more I will destroy you posts, any of those, and just say I wont be so friendly when we meet again. You don't know anytihng abot how well youll win till you fight them, so making statements like that is a waste of time here.

I am free after this month, so me and Zinth also challeng any of you two two vs two matches.

Zinth, Grav, Dart, we need to get together for a few nights and play this game till we cant stay awake sometime the following two weeks. If we can get a smash fest then then, that will be very good for me. As well as all of you.

All of you, do better than what you think is your best from this point on. In every practice match, pretend your doing this for real.

It is nice to meet all of you that have receantly joined this forum, cant wait to do it in person.

Well said, Shade. If it's cool, I'd like to practice using Marth with you when you're free to Smash again. I just changed computers, so I don't have AIM set up yet, so a PM will do just as well. Also, no, I have not dropped Luigi as my main, I'm just learning as many characters as I can so I can do better in matches(Marth happens to be my worst match-up, so I figured if I learn to play as him, I can learn how to defeat him).

One last thing, I have a thread in the Misc. Video section featuring my Luigi vid trailer. Take a look at it and post your thoughts about it. I'd especially like feedback from the Oklahoma smashers. Thanks.

yea we might have. i use some different tags, usually "FONZ". i play doc most of the time but i mess around with other chars also.
