haha, yah, well I knew me and KOS-MOS had never practiced two on twos before, thats why I couldnt have us sleep from the start.

I was only able to teach him the baer minimum that I taught you Zinth, but he suprised me, to being a great partner anyway. I am proud of that KOS-MOS, and thanks for helping us get itno the pros brakets.

I know we only got three hours of sleep, I know that they kept saying in thirty minuts that well start the singles brakets, and barely staying awake to get to them, and I know that we only got to take 7 minute naps every thirty minuts, to wake up only to find that they werent starting again, and I know that we were all hungry, I know that we werent alowed to practice for 7 hours and the pros were, and that at the begining of the singles I stunk really bad,
but dispite al those we held it together as long as we could, and got into the areas of the national players for doubles, for our first tournament that isnt bad.

I faught king first, I killed myself twice, (thats how tired I was), and jigglypuff is unussuall for me, he won both sets, then I faught another jigglypuff(I should have been marthbut I didn't think and also, did bad. Then there was a shiek that was very hard, that beat me, After that though I started to kick in and wake up, and I didn't loose anytihng after that, but it ws too late I was just to exhausted.

Then after the singles, and we waited another hour or two for, for doubles, by that time, I looked at KOS-MOS, and I know he wouldnt last long even if we did win the first round, my opponents new this to, and when we faught, I held my ground with Fox, against my opponent, but chris wasnt able to. After they got rid of chris I had to fight on my own, and I got them to like 1 live each, but that wasnt enough to win.

But when we got their at first, we won against many people, and gathered quite a crowed of about 10 people that were very impressed how we actually gave the enimy to one another like a vollyball. heh that was probably one of the funest moments of my life right there, with all the people to cheer us on, and watch.

I hope to do this again later, i will be able to do stuff next month, as in go to your houses, and stuff, as my mom is tired of my games for the month, And the car rid ethere was pretty fun, with talk about music, girls, silly things to do to throw the enimy off, (like talk with a jamakin accent roster), racism lol, and what the best girl looksl like, and how all the hot girls watched the halo and not the smash.

But techsklls arent enough, you need mind games, (everyone there has techskill, if you dont' your behind in mind games, and tech. The biggst thing is following patterns, and I found that alot of the proplayers, the reason they are good, is because they do everything as fast as bossible, literally not giving you a chance to do anything but shield grab.

We have to choose characters to master, and then do it, and work on not following pattens, and thinking and moving much faster and flawless.

Any way great time guys, I am glad we even got to the brakets with ken and isia.

If there was one thing though I didn't like, it was that when you were waiting for eight hours, you were unable to play, by rules, if it is not a tounrament match, your disqualified, though it does not apply for the pros, they played the entire day, I thought it would be the other way around with the amatures getting practice and the pros not, haha guess I was wrong, I will be ready next time cus well bring your monitro Zinth, and you and me need to work to lol.

Well, as long as you guys learned some new things and, more importantly, had fun, then that's all that matters. I've learned that going in with a "I must win" mindset isn't the best idea. The main thing you should focus on is perfoming your moves at their quickest and being open enough to recognize what's being thrown at you. Also, as Shade said mindgames are of the upmost priority. Against a pro smasher, without mindgames you're like an open book--easily read. Good mindgames are the only way to get great players to open themselves up for an attack. Even if its for only an instant, that will be all that a pro needs to take a stock.

I had a similar experience as Shade when I went to MLG last year-- I got put in a pool with RobFalco, who proceeded to beat everyone around like a ragdoll. I managed to beat three of the other players, but it didn't net me enough points to advance to the brackets. I really wish I could've went-- I might not have been of much use, but I could have at least helped everyone's nerves and imparted some of my previous tourney experience. It probably wouldn't have made much difference, but who knows.

At least now you all know what to expect next time and now have a visual of what needs to be worked on and improved. Congrats to Team Zero for making it into the pro bracket, it may not seem like much of an accomplishment, but it really speaks to how good you guys and your teamwork really is. Getting props from the pros is a major accomplishment and a step in the right direction. Good work, you got the technique, now you need to get psychological with it.

Wow, that sounded really cool! Omg, I want to go to an MLG event really badly right now! Anyway, it sounds like you guys did very well for your first MLG event. If we're able to go to MLG Chicago, now we'll all know what to expect and can prepare even more for it, get some good sleep, and not be surprised. Congratulations for making the pro doubles bracket! That means that you guys are in the top 32 teams in the nation!!!

Also, did you guys play any big bad pros, like Ken or Isai or Azen? If so, I want to know how that went!

I think we need to start organizing a plan to go to MLG Chicago, because I really want to go to an MLG event now!

Shade, you're going to have to give me a detailed account of your experiences throughout this next week :p

Also, did they record any of your guys' matches?

By the way, Shade, I'm thinking of taking up a certain blue-haired swordsman as a main. So I may need some pointers from you. I'm going to get his basic movements(i.e. wavedashing, dash-dancing, shffl-ing, timing) down first before I start trying to seriously use him in matches. I'll let you rest up first, however.

Again, excellent job for your first major tourney. Much props to everyone.

EDIT: Yes, Rasta. It's incredible how much a tourney can raise your game. If I had the time and money, I'd go to a tournament every week just to improve my gameplay.

hehe, well, when it comes to marth i can help with that no prob, I did really good against marths, just shieks that i didn't like. And jigglypuff is lame, so I didn't care about those matches.

Just make all the attacks short and precise, and flow into them with almost no delay.

I hope you guys are ready, because at the next smashfest (Some time in june), Im going to destory you guys. IC's are my new main, I feel bad for switching to them, but Roy just couldnt hold up. Im also picking up Marth, so if I get beat with IC's (which I doubt that will happen, unless I kill myself), Ill switch to marth.....Marth is cheap, I dont really understand how you guys can play with him. I beat KOSMOS all the time when he was Falco and I was Marth, it felt like I just found a nickle, I dont really need it, but Ill take it.

Hmm, that's cool, I don't think I've ever played any Ice Climbers that had any level of competence before :p

Congratulations to everyone, you guys gave it your all. Especially to team Zero, good rep for OK there. I soaked up every word about your experiences, it's similiar to mine two years ago.

RastaImposta said:
Vega, Im sorry to say this, but Low Tier Characters have no chance in these kinds of tourny's. Once they find the small flaw in any character, or a big flaw in the low tier characters, they will exploit it to hell and back. You saw Soldier of Fortune, ya, well all those Marth's were Ken, and you saw the way he dominated Ken, the only reason Ken won is because of chain grabbing him to 50% and tipping him. Bombsoldier is by far the best smasher, but people wont agree with me because he cant beat ken, because Ken change grabbed him to hell and back. To stand a chance in these kinds of tourny, High, Upper, and Top characters are about the only ones that have a chance. I am sticking with Roy, but I am also playing:Falco, Sheik, and Marth. I am also playing IC's alot more than Roy, no reason to keep playing with Roy untill my mind games develop more and the only way to do that is to practice with top characters, find there flaws, then have Roy exploit them. It might work for you too, but I gaurantee you it will be so much harder.
Thanks Rasta, but I won't abandon this effort any time soon. I just started practicing this morning and will start every evening after today (Plus, I'm tired of going out, I always end up with empty pockets :ohwell:). I'm hoping I'll get some matches posted up against Po and Fresh later this month. Lol, and Marth won't feel so cheap after he faces my Pichu.....

BTW, instead of a regular Smashfest, why not a tourny?

Ferro De Lupe said:
You know... As soon as I get me a video camera, I'm going ot record some of my computer fights and let ya'll see them. I just want you guys to see me play so you can get a rough idea of how I'd fare against you guys...though I think I already know how that would end up.
We gotta have you over sometime at one of our smashfests. That way you can get the exposure and first-hand advice. Do you think you can make it to OKC in June? Say a weekend? Oh, and I have a proposition for you. I am looking for a teammate, but I need a person that's starting out fresh so he/she could catch unto my flow with ease. Not to mention it would be easier on me to adapt my style pending on their progress. Just let me know what you think, and who do you use as your main right now?

Team Zero: Impressive guys. How would it sound if we formed a secondary main team for OK? This team will not only focus as your sparring partners, but will soon function as an independent and skilled team after constant games against you guys. This team will be dubbed "Team X". I nominate anyone that cares.

Vodot, are you still gaming with Scud?

That sounds good vega, I think it should contain, like this

Me Zinth, original team Zero, or Me KOS-MOS if it seems to do better, vs Vegafuse and KOS-MOS or Zinth.

I need to practice with Zinth again then see the things, but we really need to practice teams more now.

Good Idea vega about the tourny to, roster we await you.

Sorry Shade, I think we would have done a lot better in the pro bracket if I hadn't almost passed out in the middle of our matches(I was extremely exhausted). Jigglypuff is lame with her lame b-air and her insane recovering and her lame down-b move(some guy killed me twice in less than 5 seconds with that move).

Well I know what I need to work on and how I can improve. Also Rasta is REALLY good with Ice Climbers(I have a really hard time keeping up with him now). I'll try to see if I can come over once every week Rasta so we can get some practice in for the next MLG(whenever that is).

Also I need someone to be Falco(that can short hop laser well) so I can figure out how to get around that without getting destroyed. Can't wait to get some more smash matches in.

Oh and Shade, was our team like just for this event? If so, then I want to go back to being Vega's partner. If you need me to be your partner then just say so or we can just figure something out.

Vega, Ill have your dvd tomorrow with the 1v1 matches. Anything you want to be on there? I put the bombsoldier combo vid and the frostbite vid because those are possibly the greastest combo vids ever made.

Now, about the tourny, I will try and get things ready, if I cannot find a place to host it, then I will just host one at my house, it will probably be a small one. Hopefully I can get this place (A.R.G.H.) to host it for us, or I will see if I can rent out this empty space for a tourny. The thing Id need help with would be: Running the brackets, TV's, Cubes, Tables and Chairs. Id be assuming about 20 people or so would show up, even more if we advertised it. Im going to give Best Buy a call about sponsering the event, Im also going to call the Marriot downtown to see how much it would cost to rent out the ballroom and if it could hold 300+ people along with a couple hundred square feet of equipment, then send it to MLG. Thats the only way they can consider having one in OK, and itd be alot more convient to have on here than in Texas.
The next MLG is in California, then the last one is in Chicago (I think). I doubt Id be able to goto those 2 unless I got a sponser, and I really doubt that will happen any time soon.

Ill update this when I get home.

I wont be able to go to those type of tournaments again for some time, but I will however get better, since I know what I gata do,

And KOS-MOS, if you want to be partners with vega, that is fine with me Me Zinth and You Vega would be great!

About Xenosaga, the game got amillion times easier, I hadnt played the other one in so long, I forgot that medkits werent the only thing to heal you, until I started going into momos mind, then I was like, "oh wait i can use ether to heal myself, YES!!!!!!!!!!!, and life was good again. I was al wooried about how am I going to manage my health with only med kits and biosphers lol.

I am going to use, Marth, Fox, Sheik, Falco, and Samus, as of now, and I will be using all of them alot harder. Also Dart is a great laser falco for you to get practice on KOS-MOS lol.

I can help run the brackets. I've been to a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments in my day, so I have a good idea of how they're run.

Good plan Rasta. I know you probably didn't have time to post the whole idea, but I'm going to break it down anyways.

Now, about the tourny, I will try and get things ready, if I cannot find a place to host it, then I will just host one at my house, it will probably be a small one. Hopefully I can get this place (A.R.G.H.) to host it for us, or I will see if I can rent out this empty space for a tourny
Awesome, I don't mind if you hold it at your house. Now if you think it's better if we aim for a public place instead, and save your house as a last resort, then I can help you out. I know of a couple places that might be of interest. Do you know how much it's going to cost at A.R.G.H? We should probably take a real good look at our alternatives when considering prices. The Sooner Room in Norman was $65, and to boot we've held one there before so we know what to expect. Also, the Street Fighter cats are willing to share room with us at their tournament in Denton Texas this summer (Denton is right on the Red River border). It may be a bit far, 30 minutes shy from Dallas, but we get some Dallas Smashers to join and you don't have to rent out a room. But I can understand if convenience takes priority.

The thing Id need help with would be: Running the brackets, TV's, Cubes, Tables and Chairs. Id be assuming about 20 people or so would show up, even more if we advertised it
No problem. As far as I know, Zinth is probably the best man to run the brackets, and if we have seeding, I'm sure he can organize a well-thought out one. Don't worry about TV's and Cubes, all we need to do is to get everyone on this thread to participate in volunteering their equipment. I'm sure Crew O.F. can bring 3 TV's and 3 Cubes for sure, and at all the other smashfests everyone else seems to be generous enough to do the same. If this is going to be underground only (as in just us in this thread), then about 5 each will be just enough.

As for tables, chairs, etc., it really depends on where are you going to host this. A lot of places prepares a room set-up with everything you need usually for free. I know the Sooner Room and the Ford Center does this for sure. If we end up having it at your place, and you seem to be on a shortage on furniture (which seemed like you did fine during your first Smashfest), then I can help out with a bunch of chairs and small tables.

There's one more thing; you may want to consider appointing ref's and other faculty members. This may come in handy if you get a whole lot bigger showing than expected..... Advertising right after E3 is a good way to get hyped ex-Melee players back after watching Brawl.

Now here is where things get tricky:

Im going to give Best Buy a call about sponsering the event, Im also going to call the Marriot downtown to see how much it would cost to rent out the ballroom and if it could hold 300+ people along with a couple hundred square feet of equipment, then send it to MLG.
Hmmm, well if that's going to be our goal (I'm totally up for it BTW), then we have alot of work to do. But before we discuss on, let's get some more regular tournies in before we move on to something like this. Let's start with the basic's first, we are going to need proof that we have enough people to support such a grand event. What we gotta do, is to start with basic advertising like Flyers at college campuses, gather people from previous tournies, and hopefully get some indirect advertising, like how MTV's true life episode gave way to a flood of gamers into Smash and Halo message boards all over the internet. If anything, a good day to host a major event is sometime near SSBB's release date.

The thing is, we will not get as many people from Oklahoma as in MLG Dallas, but I'm pretty positive that's not what we're aiming for. The plan is to get "enough" OK gamers to attract everyone else nation wide. Just think about it, some average out-of-state competitive smasher is going to hear about a "noob" tourny in OK and will think the prize pot will be "easy pickings". Because of this, we are going to get people coming in from all over the Southwest expecting to win easy, but that will only lead to the next step in our plan. Now that it has become a sizable tourny, you're going to get the best Smashers across the US to become interested and when that happens, you get exposure. Thus which leads to being a major tourny and all that jazz.

Thats the only way they can consider having one in OK, and itd be alot more convient to have on here than in Texas.
Sadly, Texas will always destroy Oklahoma in population, and they will try to serve the masses before us. All we can do for now is to host decent tournies in place of smashfests. We can work our way up from there, we just need cooperation.

I'm just pumped up after what went down in MLG, I wish I could've gone to Dallas with you guys. In agreement with Zinth, I'm going to plan out a trip to Chicago so I can show them why Low-tier is top!

Oh, and whatever you do, don't add in the Bombsoldier and Frostbite combovids. They are on the DVD you gave me on Friday. The Po Pimpus preview would be cool, and maybe some other Oklahoma stuff would be awesome. You REALLY don't need to bother with this Rasta, I feel bad enough already taking up all your time and DVD's :( Well, I'll have to admit that I really did enjoy the other one......

Heh, gotta love the huge Vegafuse posts (seriously, I enjoy reading long posts, they're hardly ever disappointing :p). I think if we host a somewhat-big tournament over the summer, we should definitely include at least Texas. I want to get to play some out of staters, and I know that JesusFreak has been wanting to play against us.

Anyway, who did you play against at MLG Kosmos? What about you, Shanx?

We definitely need to play 2v2 at the next Smashfest! I haven't played in a serious 2v2 since Kosmos' party! We should also have crew battles!

Ah, I don't think I played against any pros(although there were some really great players I went up against).

Also, I think I'm going back to Peach as my main simply because I have more control over her and I seem to do better with her(Rasta can agree with that statement). I'll use the others as a secondary main but I'm going back to Peach.

Fox is just simply too hard on my hands(with all that shining and JC shine and waveshine to neutral air to.. X_x omg I could go on and on...).

crew battles! Norman unite!

um, jesus freak sounds slightly ridiculous as a gamer name. apparently he loves god, even while he lands a sweet fair on an unsuspecting mr. game and watch! just like god wanted it...

anyway...not that i'm judgemental, i don't care, i just thought it was quaint. in other news, i need to go study for my finals tomorrow so i will get an A in chemestry because that's not looking 100% right now :(

so, i'm all up for bigger smash fests. even if i'm unpopular at them. thursday night is the X3 premier, so if i buy as ticket before they are sold out tomorrow, i will spend more time making a costume, and less on ssbm. it's saddening to me that ssbm keeps taking a backseat to everything, but i need to pass my classes and spend freetime ranting like the socialist i am.

this was a pointless post and mostly everyone dislikes my personality by now, so i think i've accomplished something today. yeeeep....see ya later, amigos.

that was spanish.

not the whole post, just the "amigos" part.

Hmm, well you have always struck me more as a Peach player than anything else. But who knows, maybe that's just because you played Peach when I met you. Lol :lick: We do have a disturbing lack of Peach players here in Oklahoma, so all the merrier I say :bigthumbu

So Shanx, how did you do against SockNinja and the other Smashboards people? And how close were your matches, Kosmos?

I think that I should try to pick up Jigglypuff, so hopefully I can get good enough with her that it'll prepare you all against good Jigglypuffs.

Most of my matches were pretty close(down to the last stock usually). I want to train my Peach to deal with Foxes and Falcos. Again, Zinth if you choose Jigglypuff... I will do anything possible to destroy that stupid pokemon( I HATE that... that... THING!).

Also I've decided that I'm just going to use Peach and Marth from now on. No more Fox or Falco for me. I'm always having aches and pains in my wrists. Maybe I'll pick Fox and Falco back up later but its strictly Peach and Marth from now on.

That's good that they were close. Of course, I didn't except anything otherwise seeing as how none of the people you played were pros; good to know that pros are the only ones who possibly have the potential to make it not-close  And someday I'm sure that we'll be good enough to take them on :bigthumbu

Hmm, sounds like a good combination.

Also sounds like I'll have to add Jiggs to my roster of characters to prepare all of you against her.

i play with jiggly, so i'm well trained against her, too(any good smasher knows everything about fighting his own toons) :)

i was wondering why kuni destroyed(4 stocked!) my marth, but i almost got 3 clean kills on him with a newly trained jigglypuff skill. i guess there's just a lot of opponent-based training everyone needs to do, to be suited against all upper half tier characters.

Well my IC's are getting better and better as I learn new grab combo's, Ive been practicing and can get the infinite grab (I stop at 80%, but at MLG there is no way Ill stop until im sure they are dead) all the time now!! Ill grab, hit with popo, downb with nana, then throw you up to upsmash, ChuDat style!

KOSMOS, I think you should stick to Peach, I think thats the only character I cant beat you with IC's, Im also having a tough time with Pay$ Samus, I win, yet I still have a hard time.

Ill Edit this post later.

Ive got bad news, it only really effects Vegafuse. While converting the files, the program takes up a large portion of cpu power, and my ******* brother got on half-life, which also takes up a lot of cpu power. This program shuts itself down when other programs need the power. Ive got finals for the next 3 days, Ill get it to you sometime during the weekend. By the way, where do you live?

LOL, I know who White Shadow is >_>..........

Vodot, when's the last time you used Jigglypuff? Who did you play against and how well did you fare? I want to know so I can get an idea of how good you are with her. You say you haven't played in like 2 weeks, but that's nothing a few minutes of warm-up can't fix.

Other than Vodot and Zinth, Fresh and I know how to use Jigglypuff aswell so we can help you guys train against her (or him?). I forgot who was good against her, I think it was the Doc and Samus but I can't remember. But from my experiences Peach is a horrible person to use as a counter.

Rasta: I'm really interested to hear what you got to say about future tournies in OK. If we are dedicated, then we may actually pull through with something...

Oh, and IC's is definitely worth switching to as a main. Fresh and I use them decently ourselves so if you ever want to test yours out in a ditto match, let us know.

KOS-MOS: Awesome man, we are going to kick some arse! When we team up, we could go double Marth's like you did with Shade. I also want to try out a Peach and C. Falcon combination personally, I think that's going to have potential.

Southpaw: Sorry I was a lousy host the whole morning, but next time I'll make it up to you. I really wanted to stay at Rasta's but unfornately for me Gameface told me he had to go somewhere at the very last minute. I don't know what went down after I left, but I'm curious to know who you played and results.

How's Graveyard Pheonix holding up?

Zinth: Heh, I too prefer posts with a lot of content. Well, I tried to compile something for you to refer to as you make your site. This was quickly thrown together:

Oklahoma Crews

Crew "Oklahoma's Finest"
-Po Pimpus
-Fresh
-Vegafuse
-PX*
-Heathq*
-Derrick*

There's somewhat more to this, but I'll detail it next time.

Update: The reason we call ourselves Oklahoma's Finest, is becuause we were the old "All-Star" crew back then. We were basically all rivals but then we started to plan to go to out-of-state tournies, so we decided to assemble the greatest OK Smasher's at the time into one crew. In the end, we were never able to fulfill the crew's purpose so things started to fall apart. It was until the OC crew showed up that we had to give a call to greatness once again. Now it's just only us three, I don't know if the others still play.

*These guys may come back, we will have to see. Heathq was at my level, and PX and Derrick were the best smashers in OK at the time. I wonder who would win if Shade battled those 2 ;) (seriously, those matches would be close)

Fire Minstrels
-Shade
-Zinth
-Grav
-Dart
-Lee

? (Kosmos+Rasta's crew)
-KOS-MOS
-RastaImposta
-Shanx
-Pay$
-Mithos?
-Haku?

Norman (name?)
-Scud
-Vodot
-anyone else?

OC Crew
-Wes
-A bunch of other guys

Muskogee Crew
-Shinryuken
-Dandude
-anyone else?

Independent
-Sol-8
-Ferro De Lupe
-Terrance
-Matt
-Jeff
-Anyone else?

(note: I'd like to exclude those pansies Deck and Gameface from now on, they both couldn't handle fighting games so they moved on to their sissy action games. They lost there will to compete......)

I didn't include the "All-star" OK Crew (for state vs state) because we haven't determined who is going to be on it yet.

Oklahoma Teams

-Team Zero= Shade + Zinth
-Team Zero Alt.= Shade + KOS-MOS
-Team X= Vegafuse + KOS-MOS
-Team X Alt.= Vegafuse + Zinth
-#1 Killas= Po Pimpus + Fresh
-Norman Team(name?)= Scud + Vodot
-Rasta Bros.(name?)= Rasta + Pay$
-Others?

(note: You could be a part of more than one team.)

Well, that's all I got right now, I know it is faulty but hopefully it did some good. Make changes and corrections where needed :p

Rasta Again: I forgot to address the CD issue, but I assure you, you don't have to worry about anything :). I greatly appreciated the first remake you made, but I would feel like I'm stealing if you did anymore, lol. I'm good with what I got, so no worries ;)

Edit#1: Revised info regarding Rasta's crew ond O.F. Crew. Added team.
Edit#2: Included Muskogee Crew. Shade/Zinth Crew name update and the word "sissy" and "pansies" tacked in somewhere.

Even if Jigglypuff destroys a Peach I'm still gonna try to beat that thing with her(I have to find out who I can and cannot beat with her so I know when to use Marth). Vegafuse when we are on teams I would like to stick with Peach only unless the situation called for a Double Marth.

Rasta I would like a Smash DVD too. I figured if I'm not playing Smash I should be watching Smash. Don't worry about getting it to me asap, just whenever you have time(I don't care if its 2 months from now lol).

i had a friend down there in mlg for dallas for halo. he got ***** because he only entered FFA.

anyhow, no one else i know of in norman is into smash that much. i know 2 people who are interested but they don't have tag names yet, just their human ones :p

aaand, i got 2 stocked when i played shade, second human i used jigglypuff against after a month of training. when we met at scud's house, i beat pay$ about 75% with jigglypuff(about 75% link and 95% falcon, but he destroyed my fox). scud can usually 2 stock me, or get a 1 stock with 0% damage if i get a lucky kill, so i'm not AWESOME with jigglypuff, but i can be d-a mn annoying.

i guess i go under scud's crew, as he's been playing the longest. nonetheless...there are only 2 of us. in a city of 90 thousand. wtf, mate?

Jeff, Matt, and Terrance arent part of my crew, they are just too cocky. Well Matt and Terrance are, Jeff just doesnt play this game enough to get decent, Ill give him a break since he is going to college pretty soon.

KOSMOS, what do you want on the dvd? 1v1, 2v2, Combo vids? Also, Pay$ and I are going to be teams, team name is...I dunno, Ill have to come up with one later.

Man it sucks that you can do anything for a while shade, I figure we should get as much practice as we can. During the summer, does your mom want you in the house more or out more? If so, my place is always open for practice.
My IC's are coming along quite nicely if I say so myself, I just need to work on desyncing some more, but after that, I will be unbeatable!! Marth...I wanna play marth, I just dont feel like I did something when I win. Faclo and Fox are gonna be in my new roster of characters, sadly Roy just cant stand up to top tier characters, hopefully after I get good with these characters, Roy will become my main again, or atleast a secondary....

That sounds good Kosmos, I'll help you against Jiggs than. And since you are going to use Peach and Marth, I'm also going to train you against Ganon, my best character. Ganondorf seems to do pretty decent against those two, so you will have to watch out for him.

Vodot, if you can recruit those two guys, than that would be awesome. If they are going to be apart of your crew later than I can list them too. Are they into casual or competitive Smash? Speaking of Norman crew, what ever happened to all those other guys Shade and Zinth was talkin about? Was that you Vodot?

Rasta, I can't wait till I face your IC's. It sounds like you're a whole lot better now.

Well have to work alot on two vs two, since that is what most everyone that saw us was impressed with, and theyll probably be like, uuu shade has a new partner, this should be interesting. lol.

So actually be practicing on just doing everything twice as fast as you think you need to, part of the tihng that held some of us back is the fact we did things alot slower than most others, well change that before the next tourny.

Yeah, you guys got a lot of attention in teams. If Husband and Wife was impressed, then just think of the potential for next year.

one of them is almost as good as scud and i; he is shade's friend, too(from church, i believe).
the other one just plays casually.

i don't think i'm an interesting topic very often, but maybe they were talking about me, i dunno. considering we have oklahoma university in this town, there has to be 1-500 people who like playing smash a lot. i'll check out facebook for groups and look at the college messageboard and school forums in the main office.

i found out, though, that groups are horrible together. there was a smash competition in chickasha, and the kid that one knows my sister, so he made a date to play against me. i four stocked him. all i found out is that no one in chickasha is advanced enough to apparently move away from an up+b. but from the second his fame was "i can beat 3 lvl 9 computers", i knew he was a crappy gamer.

it was lame. BUT! it means that we need to do many things, mainly find mistakes in each other's gaming, since thankfully, we're from different crews and we all have different playing styles and observations.

anyhow, i'll look for more normanites who can get involved. the more the merrier. :)

I think we can add more people, wasn't there guys from Muskogee?

Edit: Vodot, it's good to see that atleast one of those guys play competitively. As for the other one, does he rather play it for fun or is he not enlightened in the way of the L-cancel?

Even though there's noob's everywhere bragging about how good they are, you can probably encourage them to learn advance techs and everything. Next time you see the Chickasaw guys, show them some DBR vids or something. They might get into it, lol.

Oh, and be sure to let us know if you find some OU guys. I bet there's more than the one's I see all the time there.
