Vegafuse: VERY nice list, that will be very helpful to me once I get back on track with the website, which I'm not sure I'll be able to do before school ends (school for me ends on Thursday), but rest assured this is a project that I WILL complete.

I've been kicking up my game a lot since the last time I've played you all. I've upped up some of my old skills, and I may just have some surprises in store. I've definitely also been working on speed.

Alright thanks Vega, I don't think I ever got a rematch with your Ganon, hopefully I'll do a lot better this time around. I know just using 2 characters is going to be kinda hard on me but those 2 are the ones I have the most control over.

Yeah, Ganon is still my best, but he happens to not be my main anymore. If you want to face Ganon, then I'm up for it. As for the OC crew, you will get your chance to play them when September comes rolling around. Since they are college students, they are on their Summer Break right now and have dispersed all across the nation. I'll let you know whenever they come back to OK when classes start. Fire Minstrels eh? I'll edit that in tonight.

Whoa, Cool, heh, it's pretty cool you guys remembered this thread. But yeah, A LOT of things happened when you and Dandude were gone. We've been through some good times, lol, we laughed, cried, and talked about.......... Samus >_>.......... Heh, but it's too bad you guys had to miss out on the first tourny. I'm going to do a little recap here on the smash events. This is for Newcomers and Returning Smashers alike (so they won't get lost when we talk about things):

Pre-Tournament
Alright, this is where things just started off in the thread. When our crew (OF) came back to Smashboards.com because of the OC crew, I decided to browse around the forums a bit. I was just lurking around the Fox char. section and I stumbled across an OK player that I've never seen around before. Heh, apparantly he ends up being Shade and he said he had a crew of his own. I was like "ROfLZ y DUn't I sTArt teh TURnEE LoLZ!!1!" and things sort of went like this:

-I announce an upcoming tourny; People get excited
-I don't post; People got worried
-I delayed tourny; People are dissappointed
-I announce that Po Pimpus will host the tourny, Fresh becomes ref/co-host, and I retained planner position.

Everything was official now.

Tournament Begins!/ Post Tourny

Alright, the tourny day begins and everyone arrives before the hosts, heh. We were running a bit late on the schedule but we tried to get everything done. The 2v2 tournament begins and Team Zero wipes everyone on the floor with them in the winner's bracket. My team (no deal) loses right off the bat to Bac and Zorg but manage to get 1 win. #1 Killas beat Mithos and Haku, but they got their revenge in the loser's bracket against them. It ended like this:

1st: Team Zero
2nd: Mithos & Haku
3rd: #1 Killas

We took a short break after Teams, and then Singles began. Once again I lose right off the bat to Haku. Shade, Fresh, Kosmos, and Zinth were the one's everyone was watching out for. Po got knocked into the loser's by Shade and then we faced eachother soon after. This time I picked Upper Tier characters and I barely won against him. Shade defeats Zinth in the winner's bracket finals and I defeated KOS-MOS in the loser's bracket finals. Shade defeats me in the Tourny Finals by 3 to 2. The finals for singles and teams were recorded if you want to view them. Ask OmegaStar (Zinth) or Shade for them.

Now, during the aftermath of the tourny, everyone's skills skyrocket and we get an idea of who everyone is. We planned a lot of things like a website, combovids and an OK Crew.

-Southpaw announces a tournament in AZ and invites.
-I claim to use Low-Tier exclusively
-Shade's Crew released multiple videos.
-Po and Fresh goes to Austin tournament
-KOS-MOS held a Smashfest at his birthday party.
-Rasta holds another Smashfest. Everyone improved since Kosmos' party.
-Mithos and Haku quit?


Pre-MLG Dallas Preparation/ E3

This was an exciting time for us Smashers, because Nintendo would finally reveal the new SSB for Wii at E3 and OK would finally have a chance to compete against the pros. MLG Dallas was almost two months away, it was a major tourny, and it was close.

-We got some new smashers like Vodot and Ferro
-Scud holds Smashfest and we trained in specific matches for MLG.
-E3 reveals SSB: Brawl and everyone goes crazy.
-Final Smashfest at Rasta's for MLG; Also recorded footage for Combovid
-Po released combovid preview

MLG and Present

Well, this was judgement day for OK. Only a handful were able to make the trip over there. On the day before MLG, everyone wanted to get together for some final games and Southpaw stopped by on his way over there.

-Po and I recorded matches against Southpaw
-Everyone leaves to Dallas
-News of Team Zero making it to Pros for Teams
-Shanx made it to the Am Bracket for Singles
-Everyone comes back, with improved skill
-Me typing this

Well, hopefully that didn't bore you to death. Man, I bet no one here remembers half this stuff. I got super memory

This aint no low level players goin to your state niether. I(the great marth) am the best marth in HOUSTON, i also use samus as 2ndary. i would be bringing G@BE, the best falcon in HOUSTON, and finaly i will be bringing SideEffect, the best fox in HOUSTON.


So the question is this.......who are the top 5 smashers in Oklahoma? And when in july could any of yall be able to take us on?

lol, Yeah, I somehow confused BAC and Zorg as teammates for some reason. Now I remember, Dart was a Falco and he kept getting the best of Jeremy, so I told Jeremy to switch me opponents. That's how we beat them in the Losers Bracket, I can't believe I forgot that.

Alright, I won't talk about the top 5 here, but I'll let you know that I'm interested in battling you guys. I'm available all day every weekend in July. If you guys come in a weekday instead, then I'll be off of work after 3:30. I know who you and the other 2 guys are already, but I have to tell you that we are not easy pickings. I feel this is a great oppurtunity for some money matches.

I'll Falcon ditto G@BE for $25. My Mewtwo versus SideEffects Fox for $10. And my Pichu versus YOUR Marth for $10. I'll wait for your responses.

I haven't been able to play against a skilled human in weeks... but that hasn't kept me from practicing. I don't think that the rest of you OK Smashers would recognize my current playstyle if were to see it. Don't count me out of the game just because I haven't been able to make recent events And don't forget that I'm part of the normal Team Zero either

we have scud as one of the best, too, but that's not even the point. Houston kids, Oklahoma is a tight crew. We are various crews it's true, but friendly rivals, and as a group in OK, we are one. If you want to pick and choose who to fight, i think you're out of luck because our crew will take your crew wholely.

that may sound cheesy, too, but i'm pretty sure we take pride in our ability of a bunch of kids from crappy redneck towns to come together and create a makeshift posse- one that will pwn you. be prepared to be upset after an 8 hour drive. check you punks later.

I'm dead serious. In a matter of fact, I was considering moneymatching all of you with my Pichu, but I decided to give more variety to the challenges. If you still don't believe me, than atleast accept the $mm. If your looking for a challenge, than that's something you'll have to risk. You don't have to accept, but you won't get the best out of Oklahoma until you played me. I'm Low-Tier exclusive, the Falcon ditto was just once in a lifetime.

I've seen you and your friends in Texas tournament brackets dozens of times. I'm considering going down there this summer so I want to make sure I know the regulars. Anyways, I just wanted to point out that I wouldn't be so confident $mming like that to someone I didn't know about.

Cool Zinth, we didn't forget you. Actually, I'm not going to be one of the "top 3 or 5" guys in OK they want to battle. I just want to $mm them individually and regardless of the results I'll be on my way.

i have like, 5 toons, scud only has one. usually that would make me seem better, but scud beats me more than half of the time with any of them, so it doesn't even matter :'(

anyhow, yes, i think the norman duo could put up a very good fight. probably not tear you up, but i can assure you we won't get torn up. i have faith in the other OK crews, too



as for boring, we never get bored here! even if there are only cows outside, when you have a punker like me, or a crazy character like rasta(who votes him most awesome guy ever? i do.) or vega, smashfests are never repetitive. too much awesomeness to ever want it to end. maybe if your crew was more than 3 people, though, you'd understand the large "family" that is OKsmash

Those videos are old, about 7-12 months old. We really dont have any recent videos. Id be more than glad to take you guys on, I think its funny how you guys come on our thread and talk smack, then "assume" we say you suck. Very funny. As for July, from July 3 to the 14th or so I will be in Houston, visiting a friend.

Also, I can tell you the characters I and Pay$ use.
Rasta: IC's main, Secondaries-Roy and Fox, for you guys though, I might aswell pick up jigglypuff too.
Pay$: Falco main, Secondaries-Samus and Ness. Dont underestimate this 14 year old, if you dont learn his style fast, your going to lose almost as fast as you started, KOSMOS can tell you that 1st hand.

It will be interesting to play you guys, the fox and falco (I dont feel like checking back to see if there is a falco player) better change their characters if they dont wanna get ***** by my ICs.

As for Vegafuse, it will be pretty embarassing for you to lose to low tier characters, so you guys better keep practicing, he is a master of mind games and tech skill.

Shade, the best smasher in OK, unfortunately had to go up against King at MLG, did pretty well getting him down to one stock, he might have done better, but they were running out of time and they switched 4 stock to 3 stock. Shade plays quite a few characters, but his best is Marth and Fox.

Dart, I see a lil bombsoldier in him, its sad that he doesnt play the game as much as Shade does, I believe he could be the next bombsoldier, Ill talk to Dart.

KOSMOS, once was Peach, then Marth, got his head straight and went back to peach. Currently the only person that can beat me is KOSMOS's peach, but then again, I havent played shade, and I wont be able to untill June or so.

Po, one of your crew members already knows how he plays, just ask him how he plays, I have never played him 1v1, Im always busy at the smashfests I host.

Zinth, Plays as Marth, good one too, trains with Shade, so you can imagine how he plays.

All of us would love to challenge you, seeing how we do need to expand our mind games and play out-of-state players. Some time in July, just for you guys, Ill host a tourny getting more players from other states to attend. Looks like Ive got to have another smashfest in June, since you guys seem so sure you will **** us, then we will practice much more, not that we need it.

i got 4 stocked, and he was my main for a year. dittos against shade's marth will allow you to learn a lot, at least. like how you shouldn't challenge shade with marth

also, KOS-MOS uses peach? I challenge him as well. it doesnt have to be MM but i really want to fight his peachy......ive destroyed every peach ive came across except for DoH.....i was so F-in close....... 1 stock 118% was on that peach.
