Pikachu wasn't all that good in Melee.
Regardless, Sonic looks like a fun character and I plan to make him one of my mains.

He's the character that's just right, he seems perfectly balanced.

Well that was kinda cool, seeing Super Sonic flying around. And I love how the gravity seems weaker on that stage than in others, makes for a real aesthetic touch.
Of course Sonic is beatable, Sakurai wouldn't make an unbeatable character.... (looks at Sheik, Fox, Marth...)

i perfer well balenced guys...so ill most likely use meta knight..mario obviously....and link and pikachu and MAYBE pit.. consider me a close /mid range combat specialist...

I'm gonna use Link, as I always do. as my secondaries, I'll most likley use Sonic, pit and Ike. if Lloyd makes it in, however, I'll use Lloyd and Link will be a secondary

I wanna main Metaknight in the new'n, coz he looks pretty speedy and all rounded. If he doesn't suit my playing techniques, then I'll try Sonic. If both are just too fast, then Samus it is.

My Analysis of Sonic in Brawl
My Analysis on Sonic:
Sonic is going to be the fastest runner in the game. Faster than C.Falcon, faster than Fox, faster than anybody else. There is no way in hell Sakurai would make anybody faster than Sonic, of all characters. That aspect, combined with his Spindash attacks and you immediately have a character with more "field presence", or the ability to get to where a player wishes faster than other characters, than any other character. However, this may also be balanced by the same unwieldly, "drifting" control that C.Falcon has, perhaps to even a greater extent than C.Falcon.
It's already shown in the video that Sonic, and rightly so, is NOT an auto-fastfaller like Fox and Falco. Combine that with such a ridiculous Up+B, the ability to traverse even the air at great speeds thanks to the Spindash, and you have great aerial mobility and recovery potential. It would seem that Sonic's attacks and throws are not that powerful, which actually makes sense. Sonic is not known for his strength; in pure combat he defeats his enemies by overwhelming them. This will be the same case in Brawl; Sonic players will likely defeat their opponents not through powerful attacks, or some weak attacks and some truly ridiculous killer attacks (Fox), but rather with a varied barrage of attacks that are so quick their opponents will have a very hard time not being combo'd into oblivion.
It is possible that another key aspect of Sonic will be rapidly switching between aerial and ground-based combat. In every instance of Sonic's dair in the video, he descended very quickly. It is possible that the player was simply pressing down hard and fast enough to make Sonic fastfall with the move, but it is also possible that Sonic simply automatically comes down at a fast speed with his dair.
It doesn't seem that you can Spindash right through your opponents the way you can in the 2D Sonic games, as Sonic has been shown bouncing back a little (notably, not as much as Jigglypuff does). What I have to wonder is: what's the difference between Sonic's Side+B and Down+B? Sakurai said that you can charge both moves, although you can charge the Down+B more, and they both have the same function, unless you can perhaps damage your opponents while charging with the Down+B, just as in the 2D games.

C Falcon is faster then concorde.
First of all, no, he is not.
Second, Sonic is LITERALLY faster than a Concorde. You ever see C.Falcon run that fast in any of the FZero games? No? I wonder why that is. Sonic, on the other hand, has proven his speed time and time again. And if Sakurai makes any character faster than Sonic in any way it will be a complete disservice to the character.

I actually watched AoStH more than SatAM. I always woke up for school when AoStH came on in the morning and I was too young to figure out what time SatAM came on.
Speaking of AoStH, I thought maybe since Snake will give out humorous character analysis, Sonic could give out serious PSAs.
