and the majority of the people you're talking about like to whine because they don't know how to apply, so they're opinions are biased too, and at a lesser levelThe community is a lot bigger than a few BBR members and TOs.
I'm not sure what you're asking. ShadowLink84 said that we've finally become the idiots we're accused of being, and I said I think that's short-sighted because the only people really acting on any of this discussion are Omni, a few TOs he's asked to join his "OMAR" (lol) and to a lesser extent, Overswarm.and the majority of the people you're talking about like to whine because they don't know how to apply, so they're opinions are biased too, and at a lesser level
whats your point?

Discussing the banning of a character in an intelligent way (and make no mistake, there has been more intelligent discussion in this thread than we could have really hoped for given the size, age range, and scope of this community) is not really a bad thing, nor does it make us idiotic. It doesn't make us idiotic if you are anti-ban, either, by the way.

Mike which side are you on?you seem so optimistic, how ironic.
If you'd like to insult my intelligence, there are better posts to use to do it. I troll often.you seem so optimistic, how ironic.
The only character that might be viable with a mk ban is ROBI think the top tier would be larger and more interesting. I also think that the mid and high tiers would be overall more viable.
Toon Link. The only character that might be viable with a mk ban is ROB
This is not hte case at all.The only character that might be viable with a mk ban is ROB
It's insanely good for competition. It's just not a viable reason to take any sort of action on its own.well, I know one thing:
if MK gets banned, the people who main characters who they believe are viable without MK in the picture will come out the wood work and try to prove themselves.
is that kind of random increased morale good for competition?
Umm... no, no it isn't. Overswarm is trying to get them to go with the BBR decision no matter what. Not ban MK, go with the BBR decision.LOL at people *****ing about TOs pledging not to ban mk.. Its happening on the mk ban side as well. The name Xyro ring any bells?
You can't really make an objective criteria for a subjective matter. There are quite a few characters that would be very happy if MK left the picture, but I think we've been over this 9000 times.
We should work on the difficult task that is making criteria.
However, you can make a criteria that every reasonable person agrees with. You can't really make an objective criteria for a subjective matter.
Welcome to Earth. Here, arguments use reason.there is no such thing as reason in an argument.
It's true. Rhetorical implements carry a significantly higher weight, especially in America, than any kind of logic or reason.no, they use just about any tactic that gets them ahead, reasonable or not.
I don't think so. Its a subjective matter. Even if MK was winning 100% of tournaments via planking, if people preferred the game that way it shouldn't be changed. However, you can make a criteria that every reasonable person agrees with.
The whole argument that we can't come up with criteria because its subjective is starting to get irritating...How does MK winning every tournament (And that in of itself does not warrant a ban) change the fact that if everyone in the community agrees with a certain ban criteria (For present and future decisions) that it shouldn't be implemented? Your example shows that itself that if something is universal in the community, then it would be foolish to ignore.I don't think so. Its a subjective matter. Even if MK was winning 100% of tournaments via planking, if people preferred the game that way it shouldn't be changed.
This is part of the reason a temp-ban was proposed. And I would agree that if tournament attendance went up, then the game is better without MK. However, if tournament attendance went down, I would instantly be converted to anti-ban.The only truly objective criteria for banning would be tournament attendance. If we could prove that tourney attendance was declining at a steep rate directly due to MK then that would be objective criteria for a ban.
People ***** about it because its a **** move. If MK does ever get banned, the group is just going to basically give the middle finger to the SBR and the entire anti-ban community (which is the majority, if you haven't realized).LOL at people *****ing about TOs pledging not to ban mk.. Its happening on the mk ban side as well. The name Xyro ring any bells?
Alternatively, Snake, Wario, Falco, Diddy Kong, and King Dedede dropped at least one tier.I heard MK has his own tier.
Thoughts?
