Looks a little weird by his ear. He also looks bald to me for some reason lol. Other than that I like it.
There was pretty much nothing I could do with the limitation of his facial texture for the low poly model without making his hair look super stretched or completely bald. This is pretty much the best you're gonna get

I also color corrected the back of his hair, made his eyes more circular, and cleaned up his mustache :)

edit: Made his eyes and mustache look less nasty. I can probably clean up that "M" too.

^ What is this you ask? Tags! (For those handy with the site's search feature, that I'm sure no one has forgotten about.)

I'm adding those because I want to let those who might be struggling with mipmap textures know that I just posted multiple different ways that they can be tackled, here. This will probably be obsolete in the future, once I add their full support to DTW, but hopefully it's useful in the meantime.

Redid his overalls, cleaned the "M" and color corrected all the textures. Also retextured the normal poly model so he doesn't look mismatched when low polys aren't used.

That M is pretty clean. My intention on the skin was to keep the N64 textures as unedited as possible, though.

The problem with not editing them is that it won't fit the model well. It's kinda like trying to wrap an elephant with a blanket. If you stretch it too much, it rips and doesn't look right. Like with the overalls, I had to make them straight instead of curved like the original texture, cuz that's how melee Mario is, he's taller. It's still faithful, just reshaping the texture so it fits.

And shoutouts to DRGN for his mipmap explanation, made the edges look so much better with the color scheme lol. And when you think about it, it kinda goes well with Acryte's 20XX pack

Making progress. Gunna attempt to remove fox's scarf. I've never ben able to successfully remove a part of a model without my game crashing :(

Shine Theme fix:
OOPS! Hey guys, I forgot to change "Unknown 1 Pointer" value back to "00000000" inside the stage select USD for the flashing shine texture. I updated the download on Modulous to 1.1 with the fix. Otherwise just jump in DOL Manager and make the quick change yourself. It will crash on GCN/Wii without that change but worked fine in Dolphin so I forgot about having changed it.

Are there and Shin Megami Tensei/Persona fans out there willing to make a Yukiko skin for Peach? (these were the best example pictures I could find for maybe texturing the model)

Also, you should try to make the textures look less like minecraft, unless that was what you were going for. Cuz as is, it looks like you just took the textures straight from minecraft.

bottom is a gimp texure fill standard (walnut I think, not sure though), tree and flowers are handmade pixelart, BG is a free stockpic I found somewhere, the dedede and other critters are just scaled down images of the real thing, rest is just recolors of the original textures.

it's hard to not have dreamland 'look like minecraft' since it is a n64 conversion and all the textures are tiny af.

As I said, I'm not too happy with it. Still, I probably won't make any changes to it anymore. I just don't have any good idea what to with dreamland.

Would anyone be willing to make an Akatuski skin for falco like this one for PM, except the have falco himself be black and not red? Id also like a similar skin for captain falcon if that's possible.
