Serious: Everything here is a platform. This gives you a lot of room to recover, ledgestall (planking anyone?), and to control the stage. You'd probably want to practice tilting your control stick properly to do Dtilts on the platforms without doing dairs. Don't CP this against MK...ever.

Choose this for characters that really only kill well off the top (it has a high ceiling) or for D3.

The cold truth: Dude, it's ****ing called Norfair. <_<

5/10.

Ugh. I really hate this stage. Not for marth but in general. Like Vietgeek said platforms give you stage control. Stay away from the lava obviously. Not bad to gimp certain recoverys ( falco anyone?). Not a great stage but not necessarily a bad one either.

Viet: Concerning the ceiling height, it really depends on the phase of the stage. When the lava is high, you can get some extremely early kills off the top.

Anyways, this stage favors characters with good aerial games, so that alone is an advantage for Marth. But it also takes away from some of his ability to setup camp and begin walling off the opponent. Id give it a 6/10 I guess.

Unfortunately, marth doesn't have a far throwing throw to throw them at the "walls of lava" which is quite painful. Actually, this is a good ganon stage, as far as I've heard. Platform control is going to be uber extreme, obviously, with the nair cancel and all that.

6 or 7/10. If you have enough experience on the stage Marth should be able to control it pretty well.

7/10. Marth doesn't get gimped easily here and close walls and low ceiling make for some easy kills. It's also really good for juggling your opponents. The bad of this level being that if the right characters pick it he can get wrecked. Should never get picked against certain characters like ROB or Oli.

i find this stage better than battlefield imo. platforms are really helpful for marth, if u get control of the lower platform they cant do much, forward tilt goes through platforms along with up tilt and fair. you cant get spamed on this map by falcos lucarios but maybe snakes

people john about the lava but they just dont know how to use it...

comming from a guy who counterpicks this stage 80% of the time
9/10

Umm...okay. lol

People john about the lava not because they can't use it if the opportunity comes up, but because it's random lol.

Get your facts right. I john for all the right reasons. ^_^

Also I'd assume you'd never want to face MK on this since there is a large chance for epic...

planking.

The lava spews from behind the stage are. They come in pairs but you don't quite know how the pairs are formed.

There are probably multiple combinations among the five platforms, so that's random.

The giant lava waves on the left and right are random 50% chance between the two.

The lava rising and making the ceiling smaller is random in when it arrives.

The giant lava spew that also makes the safety capsule appear is random.

The ****ing stage is ****ing random.

But I do like the stage when it's not being unreasonably gay. Especially the Golden Sun music lol.

Imo this stage is great for people who know how to effectivly use the lava. For fun you can just counter it but if you really just wanna end it you can set up people to get hurt by the lava quite easy on this stage. Marths ok on this stage. There are people who can set you up to be hit by lava better but Marth is up there.

Ex: Fair someone into the lava waferfall as it comes from the side. When they get hit back out if they not so smart you can just hit them back into it.

Getting in the capsule isn't always a good idea. Depending on where the capsule appears you can get hit through it frm underneath and if you're up against the wall of the capsule people can hit into it. But if you like to get in the capsule then your opponent has to figure out a way to either get you out and get in or dodge the lava.

The lava can be your friend:)

Or it can be your enemy:(

not too bad for most characters with weak air games...snake sticks out to me as a notable exception that you don't want to take here, 4 of the platforms are way too easy for dthrow shennanigans and he can camp the other platform hard...

I also think this wouldn't be a bad counterpick against meta. Not the best but not the worst...... I mean it seems like half the MKs out there always try to gimp you when you're sent flying out. With multiple platforms it's much harder and if you're way up top it's not that risky to try a D-air now and then. Yeah the F-air game suffers but it's not useless as someone stated via lava......."comboing". For lack of a better word....

MK has ledge-camping city here. No.
