xif, the number of out of region tournies is irrelevant as far as reasoning for me to travel. "ive traveled this much, so now you have no excuse to travel."WHAT? that doesnt mae sense. when you come out of region for like a CFL tourney, THATS THE ONLY TOURNEY BEING HELD THAT DAY. ofcourse your going to go. you travel when thast the only tourney, or a big major one. i already stated that i posted in your thread originally saying i would come, but its just stupid to drive 3 hours instead of 30 mins, for a basically, same level tournament. i'd have no problem going down there on two conditions. 1) i have the money 2) its on the same day as a perfectly good tournament in your region. and besides the two you mentioned, i just went to linguini's. also when i went to NY, i traveled over an hour and a half from where i was to an NY tourney. anyways, like i said, the amount of tournies you went to is completey irrelevant. you've also been driving longer than i have. just recently have my parents been more lax with me driving that far. so i really didnt even have a choice back then. i had to sneak out to go to SUPS, cuz they wouldnt have let me gone. but to ask us to come to your tourney bcuz youve traveled so much. you traveled of your own accord. ok, so maybe asking is not too out of reason seeing how you DID travel us, but bringing us down, or saying negative things cuz we dont come has no reason.

oh and as for the car thing, you might have had no radio/ac/shocks/springs, whatever, but your car was still drivable. when you had a car that had bad oil leaks, was overheating, had bad piping, engine problems, and real problems that would affect drivability and reliability, you would also second guess making long trips. just hold another tourney on a date thats not preoccupied by another tourney and i should be there. 1+1 son...peace

As per the circuit idea:

12 tourneys is way too much
6 tourneys seems much closer to the right number.

I wouldn't care enough to make all 12 tourneys. Maybe Doodah would like that so I wouldn't be on the rankings. I don't even know if I'd make all 6 tourneys. Maybe 4 would be the best. That's my ideal number anyways.

Also I have never liked the idea of having gigabits a part of any circuit, because they take out of the pot. It's why I pushed to have LTEC2 on the circuit. Don't get me wrong, gigabits has done wonders for the CFL community, but they still remain a business and so it makes sense they take from the pot. But I wouldn't want that for a FL circuit. Just my opinion.

And if you guys really want this to happen, it's going to take some initiative. I'm pretty sure that initiative is not going to come out of my crew or manko or phanna. Planning stuff like this takes a lot out of a person.



As for why I don't travel any more, I decided a long time ago I was limiting myself to a 2 hour travel distance maximum. That still puts me in reach of orlando, tampa, gainesville, melbourne, and jax from Deland. It's not that I don't love SFL. But when I have been to SACS, which had as many as LTEC2 yet Tetra and Comp were the only OOS and me + law +kenny + hozy + AL & company were the only CFL people, it makes these feeble SFL tourneys which struggle to reach 20 nowadays look like a waste of time. I have many friends in SFL, but a 16 man tournament just doesnt seem to be worth 4 hours to me. If SFL can start putting together +30 man tourneys where 25+ are from SFL. I might think about traveling again.

I don't like it either, and I never really knew where all those SFL people went to anyways.

We broke 50 at the one last weekend, the next big SFL tourney will be in december, date is not finalized yet.

I thought of a plan to make sfl tourney big. notice that all miami tourneys are unusually big like 45 people.good example is all the smash bash except the one in ft lauderdale and the random 8 bit ****ty tourney that had 35 people with 1 laggy tv.every non miami tourneys were like 15 people and below except f@guini's tourney. i was thinking of getting miami players to host a tourney monthly in MIAMI and miami only.

Because its miami and there is always a good turn out in miami tourneys like FIU had 45+ people. if cfl went it would have been around 50 people

well a lot of times you guys have tourneys on the same day as Gigs, and most of CFL would rather a 30 minute drive over a 3H 30Min drive. More CFL would go if it wasn't on a Gigs date.

Miami is full of useless lazy smashers who aren't willing to travel to anywhere else besides miami. Having a tourney in miami guarantees that all those useless smashers will show up. In the end, miami tourneys almost always go over 50 people, so miami is our best bet.

well, to my knowledge, and speaking and hearing to a lot of the good players. its always a money issue. derf was complaining how he didnt have enough money to come to my tourney, and hes going to have enough to go SFL?. i dont think so. its not dumb to not want to travel to play a game.

Well If I was in cfl I rather go to gigabits instead of a 14 man tourney if they were in the same day. There is no point in going to a 14 man tourney even if gigabits is on another day cuz it would only make it a 19 man tourney lol. So sfl is relying on miami for monthly tourneys now
