I also have another question. I now have a working GCT for textures but this is the normal brawl. How do I add new codes to this GCT to make Brawl plus? Or how do I get the txt file for the Brawl Plus PAL codeset?

Nobody reads the frickin Q&A anymore! Does anyone know where they can find the PAL code for Godendorf- presented by Illinialex24 on Youtube

first off what is "Godendorf"?
also, your probably get more answers in regrades to the text file in the code set forum. also, many people won't provide a text file because the coders only want the official version being used without anyone but the coders being able to edit it. it's a safety precaution. you might be able to find the text files for brawl+ nightly builds, but most likely never the official version.

Is there a code that gets rid of that, well, I guess, "Invisible wall" on the edge of stages? By that I mean, say you run to the ledge and crouch cancel, instead of sliding off, you stop right at the ledge.. is there a code to prevent that from happening?

Why the hell would you want that, Cosmick? You know how much that would **** up dash attacks? kirby's could go off the edge in melee and it was hated, which is why sakurai changed kirby's so it can't go off the edge anymore.

unfortunately, coders are limited and are not personal coders. the few coders that are avaliable are using their skills for themselves or they're working on a project. you'll likely never get a code that a very limited window of people want.

Unfortunately I searched both threads. No text file, just a GCT with the old Brawl Plussery set.
there most likely won't be text file cuz the characters won't work with other code made characters(dark samus, dr. mario ect.) and those characters are designed for brawl+. you might get lucky with a personal request, but you most likely won't find them.

I remember hearing a while back that music from the SD was impractical due to it needing to stream from the SD. Would having music hacks from the file patch code mess up the SD card/Wii card reader by using it for extended periods of time? I just want to know if it could possibly mess anything up somehow.

it's rumored that it will shorten the life time of the SD card, put so does loading anything from an SD card. i wouldn't worry about it too much since people have been SD loading for a while now and not too much has happened. the most common thing that happens(and it still doesn't happen that often) is your files will corrupt or delete themselves and will have to be reloaded. the SD life thing is proven, it just isn't that serious. it is just there so people won't ***** that their SD card was "destroyed by the code", i was a liability that the coder put that warning there. just be aware it will lower your SD cards life, put not to much.

until Almas comes up with the method to load them without using a lot of the wii's ram memory, that will never happen. We will have to wait for Almas to finish that before what you want can become available.

You might be mistaking the debug pause code to be a debug mode code. Debug pause makes start freeze the game and Z makes the game go by one frame.

Just a quick verification question: Do characters that need their .pac files when doing texture hacks need to have only ONE .pac file or multiple (when there are multiple texture hacks)? Also, what exactly does the .pac file do (i.e. why exactly is it necessary? I know the surface answer is that it prevents the game from locking up but...).

The first question has more priority than the second one; I'm a CS major and have a curious/probing mind about those matters so that's why I'm asking. =)

I certainly know that the pcs file is required as a texture. I've heard that the pac file is not required for all characters. Only:
Samus/ZSS
Zelda/Sheik
PT
Bowser
Wario

I know this is necessary for Samus/ZSS, zELDA/Sheik and PT cos they can change their characters during a match, which may cause problems if you've only given them the pcs file

For every pcs texture file you put on those certain characters, you need the couterpart pac file for it so they can change midmatch. You can get the counterpart for each pcs by dragging the pcs into a certain program; I'm not sure if I'm allowed to talk about that here, though, so that's all I can help you with.

pac's are just less detailed textures that the game uses for in game transformations. so if the character doesn't transform, there is no need to have the .pac(unless ur using on the fly character switchers, then yes, you will need the .pac for it to use the texture). you can get .pac from pcs's by using lz77ex. you can find more info in the thread discussing it.

PAC files are actually needed if you're playing with someone with the same textures on wifi: if they have the pac file to the character you're using as well as the pcs, they'll actually see you using it.

Also, the number for Luigi's Mansion is A09.

Could you do a code that would allow us to use the mid-air colleseum and Tabuu's residence in vs. mode? Although, I read somewhere that it's impossible.
