The fact that you can play with four sideways JoyCons should confirm that there is some form of four player split screen. I can see it working out when there's only two screens.
No thanks, I'm sticking with dual JoyCons for now.
Din Din? She's eating Ramen lol.
I kind of correct the artist's Tweet a bit on Twitter. Saying it's La Mien in Mandarin.
And this artwork of Helix is really cool:
Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuch more details to soak in than last month's Direct. So many cool modes, amazing characters, free content updates, Global Testpunch, and more. Glad they're also making the lore a huge deal as I'm super curious about it.
It just keeps getting better and better after every piece of news.
That 60ps stream did the game justice. I am now infinitely more hyped up for it (and Splatoon 2 as well).
My insight on the content coming via DLC is the following. From my understanding and the way everything was presented during the Direct, it is evident that every character is advertised with its own stage and signature ARMS. So I have a feeling all downloadable content will come in packs, even if it's just one character, one stage and three ARMS every two months; even if I'd like to see it happen, I can hardly picture any standalone piece of content make its way to the game on its own :/
Now I know that's a good thing, I'm just saying that all content could be less "tied" within. I'll be satisfied either way, so this is kind of a pointless mumbling, but that's what forums are for right? What are your thoughts about this?
Everyone except Kid Cobra, Byte & Barq, and Twintelle are playable
People will be automatically matched in lobbies
Match rules/type will be selected at random
North America has 2 more extra days (May 26 & June 2) than the rest of the world for whatever reason
Also, I'm getting very curious about the final opponent:
I have SOOOO many questions:
Who is he? What's his backstory? What are the arms made of? What's with the mask? Will he be playable in a free content update (I REALLY hope so)?
So I'd like to take a moment to talk about Helix, otherwise known as Flubber, and the only reason why you should buy this game.
So like, to start, this is totally Flubber. The difference? He got tech, dawg. DNA arms, electronic visor, a cool-ass street name, and yeah okay a creepy-ass mouth HOWEVER Helix is the sole reason why you should buy ARMS.
Why?
Because mother****ing SCIENCE.
Oh yeah, Helix is here to take the entire table of elements and shove it up your ass. He's gonna throw 3.14159 punches to your god damn face. Helix is going to teach y'all the property OF BEING A ****ING LIQUID.
But I ain't tellin' you anything you don't know already.
'Course unless you're one of those Twintelle fans, then I say GET SOME REAL ASS FOR A CHANGE! Helix is the only character who's got a body that'll really make you quiver- especially why he's punchin' yer lights out. WITH DNA ARMS.
This has been Aurane with this high quality announcement, and I look forward to kicking your asses with Helix. Get good, and I'll see you later.
I like Helix.
I probably won't be able to play ARMS for some time now, but I'll try to give it a go in the future once my wallet decides to stop hiding my money from me. Anywho, I hope this game has a bright future. It looks like a hilarious fighter, and an entertaining one at that. Would hate to see it be a failed IP. But nah, I think it'll work out in the end. But I gotta get going, so you guys take care.
