We dont have this yet, so let's talk about Arms.

Seems like a fun game with interesting mechanics and recognizable characters.

Could very well replicate Splatoon's success (on a much smaller scale, of course) if there's enough depth to it and they advertise it properly.

Ribbon Girl for Smash 5.

Spring Man has, for me, the coolest design of any Nintendo character in the past 10 years, and I LOVED Splatoon's characters. I actually don't think I've been this hyped for a new IP in a long time. The idea is so simple, but so creative, and it demonstrates everything I love about Nintendo.

God, I love ARMS. I wanna gush some more but I am on mobile and it's too much of a pain. Either way, I cannot wait to see what else it has to offer.

Feel in love with it the moment it appeared in the presentation. It looks likes Punch-Out!! on crack.

Easily gonna be one of the first games I'll get.

Oh yes. The more exposure this game can get, the better. One thing that Splatoon had that ARMS doesn't is time for marketing. Splatoon had roughly a year for Nintendo to push it, but only a few months for ARMS. Any bit of exposure they can get is great.

But the real question is, will the roster be any bigger?

Well it is a fighting game

It could very well be like Pokken or street fighter or like . ..every modern fighting game where more content (like characters) are added as time goes on to keep interest up.

I would be shocked if we only kept the characters we have and nothing more

Nah for real- this game looks silly as hell. Not gonna really be too serious about it for now until I see more gameplay. Otherwise, it looks alright. Not on my current list of wants however.

I had a good feeling we haven't seen everyone yet and I'm glad this confirms it.

Also, stages have destructible elements, special attacks can be guarded, and you fill up your gauge by attacking or getting hit.

I want the game to be a sleeper hit but I'd be glad for it to just get some decent sales.

Too bad its mere 910 dollars pales in comparison to UMvC3, Killer Instinct, and Pokken.

Here we have is a new massive Famitsu article all about arms. It's a pretty interesting read if you look into it. There are more modes in the game than we thought and we were already aware that there is more characters and stages in the final game. They didn't inspire the game by Wii Sports at all, but to create a fighting game with a third person camera perspective that allows you to look at your opponent (citing 3D and 2D fighters for inspiration). Each character has their own unique attributes in addition to the arms that you equip. They are definitely aiming on having a heavy competitive metagame for its release, hence why they didn't want to advertise the other modes for the game.

This is definitely one of the more ambitious titles since Splatoon. Can't wait to see more news for the game for these next few months.

A third person fighter? Never that thought about that one before thsouth arena fighters and brawlers are a thing. Unless they are referring to the fixed camera behind your back the whole time.

What I'm more interested in is the comic book deal regarding their different ages and the game's setting. Is it like a universal tournament of some sort? I'm getting a League of Legends feel from this game and the good kind.

More news is good enough. I want my Fighting Clown already.

Same here. I wonder if there will be a story and final boss akin to Street Fighter at least.

That would expand the game's lore a bit other than fan speculation that the characters are cyborgs with arm implants.

This game needs a radical skater character who fights with yo-yo arms and a birthday clown character who fights with party blower arms and another mech fighter (piloted by the same little boy in green and white shirt) with Ultra Hand arms.
