I thought it would be a pretty awesome idea if I could also record the amount of money smashers have made for the month of 2006. So to everyone, can you post the amount of money you've won from placing top 3 at a tournament, or from money matches.

Well I haven't placed top 3 yet but I beat Flowin in a $20 MM at Nexus (3/5, Marth (me) vs. Falco (him), all FD)!!!

And I'll post this one for Flowin: He beat me in a $5 MM at Nexus (2/3, Fox (him) vs. Marth (me), all FD)!!!

Oh and I beat DaShizWiz in a $1 MM at Nexus (2/3 Marth (me) vs. him (Fox), all FD)!!!

Well I've updated the thread as much as I could. Tipman won't be accurate on his earnings. I do know that he's made 80 at SACS, 70 at No Jutsu 2, and somewhere over 100 at Get Commited. So it's safe too say that he's somewhere over the $200+ Range.

both NBPMike and i have won $65 dollars from tournaments not counting money matches.


also money matches shouldnt even really be taken into account for anything because for example Queen was talking about how he hasent made top three yet but he beat this guy and this guy in a money match well look at chops who has never won a money match but has still won the last two tournaments hes attended... money matches mean nothing

I beat my sister in a 300 dollar MM just now.

So thats $300 I've won since janurary.

The way I see it, is that if you make money off of smash, it should go up on the statistics page. Be it a money match or tournament winnings. It has nothing to do with skill, nor should it spark up a "I'm better then you cause I've made more money then you." or any of the sort. It's just too keep track of how much you've made from Smash for this year. Nothing more.

who gives a **** if you win money playing n00bs or otherwise in MMs. most people dont even MM at all. and second the whole idea of keeping track of winnings is pointless all together because for example chops could go to tournament A and win a small pot because the entrance fee was low and there were no n00bs to beef up the pot. now chops win even know floridas best are in attendence(rock, flowin, tipman, etc.)but only gets $75. now maverick could go to tourney B with a hefty entrance fee and lots of unsuspecting n00bs and floridas best just so happen to be at church that day and he wins $360. now how does the winning show or anything?

p.s. i just threw names out im not saying nothing about maverick winning n00b tournaments and im not saying chops is the omega smasher. just borrowing your names for my examples

if the award that mav made up is about making the most money playing the game then you have to include MM. What happens after you win a MM...thats right someone else gives you their money. ie profit or money you made. If you want to say the award is kinda stupid then fine. I dont think its stupid if the award is who made the most money. When someone says something like "you waste how much time playing that game". You respond with how much you have won or someone else has one. Yeah so flowin and mav have made over 800 sofar this year... yeah how much do u spend playing WoW. lol. Anyway thats my 3 cents.
BTW last tourny i was at I won 1 dollar for second place in teams.

Again I'll say this, The Cash Statistics has nothing at all to do with your skill over someone elses skill. It's simply to keep track of how much you make for playing this game. Easy and Simple. So don't over complicate things.

I can count on one hand how many MMs I've had in the 2 years I've been playing this game seriously. Why is it anyone's business how much money they make betting on the game anyway? I guarantee you that statistic will eventually galvanize the same elitist belligerence you claimed it won't.

SFL community isn't mature enough to not let a dollar sign attached to their screen names inflate their egos.

FL isn't full of little kidz. I'm sure they can handle it. Well at least I hope they can. And besides, I've all ready given my reasons for adding that bit. There's no hidden motive behind it. Plain and Simple, just too keep track. If someone's ego get's inflated, it's there fault for allowing it too happen. Now let's say that Lambchops' ego becomes inflated. He has the right to talk **** after winning back to back tournaments that he's been too wouldn't you say? Hopefully he doesn't but if he did, no one can say anything about it.

- I got $27 for 1st in teams with Moogle at Docking Station in Alabama.
- Another $6 for 2nd at the first bi-weekly Pre Smash Aid 7 tourney at Wes'

The only MM I've ever had was with JCpwn from MS which I lost $5 in. (if you count losses too)
