Derf: Exactly my point. FL 5 man crew might be the best we got, but we still need experience in crew battles. Hence my idea for a crew tournament, which would garentee at least several crew battle matches.

EDIT: The land of 1600 has just been reached. ^_^

i dont understand why crew battle experience is that essential. they are singles matches, which everybody has played thousands of. the trick is knowing who to use against what characters but most players should know their own strengths and weaknesses and any experience youd give team fl would be against players everyone on the team has played singles matches against before. i do recognize the need to run through the mechanics of a crew battle a couple of times but a tourney seems excessive

Ok, like I said in the FORT1 thread, a FL crew vs fl crew is just gonna be ditto after ditto after ditto. Fox > Marth > Falco > Fox > Marth... etc etc etc until the crew battle is finished. Our lack of diversity prevents any different match ups, and the people that do play other characters dont compare to our top 5; leading to a tremendous noob stomping.

At this point in time, I see no reason to do crew battle other than getting a feel for the sequence of events. If we have time after singles and teams, then sure!

But i'm not seeing how this mini-interstate-crew-battle of best of FL vs not best of FL is gonna help.


But please, continue the discussion, tell me how this crew battle would help.

yeah I would agree with derf. I mean really there isnt much strategy that will be decided in a crew battle. Unless for some random reason one of the players is better going first or last or something like that. But yeah the charcter match up will all depend on who you go up against.

I think they're should be Crew Battles at your tourney Rock...It would help..It would give them/you practice. We should give you guys practice before SAVII. And if you guys loose in a crew battle/set....then we should figure out a diff crew...

I also play Doc. which I'll start bringing to more tournaments. I just have too much fun playing him. Just need to step him up a bit more cause I think he's missing something. Doc. is usually the character I warm up with.
