I don't know if Inazuma Eleven is really that obscure but i barely see anyone talk about it these days.

Don't know if i should discuss it here.

I may have already said this on this thread, but an obscure newcomer would really benefit from a low-key reveal, basically revealing them like you would an echo fighter. People would hate having some "Muddy Mole" guy they've never heard of be the only Smash reveal in a general direct or the star of a big, hyped up trailer - but if Sakurai just simply said "hey, here's a new fighter we didn't make a trailer for!" during a Smash direct before showing the character run around and fight for half a minute, people would probably eat it up.

fogbadge fogbadge 's sig reminds me. Sushi Striker is a recent IP, but an obscure one nonetheless. It's too bad that game drove up the budget with all of those cutscenes and voice acting; the game has a lot of meat to it.
gameplay was pretty fun, to bad story was pretty average

Where were these Flash games originally? Flash would seem like the kind of thing Nintendo wouldn't touch with a 10ft pole.

Kinda? According to what I found, this was some kind of advent calender game that Nintendo published back in 2006. It had a bunch of Nintendo-themed unlockables, like wallpapers and stuff related to their games at the time. It was eventually rereleased in 2010, and while I believe that version was also published by Nintendo, they replaced the Nintendo stuff with indie game stuff.

Fun fact: apparently you can still play it (at least until Flash goes the way of the dodo):
