Hey, CO needs some phone numbers.

Also, doubles should be on Saturday, for two reasons:

One, so CO can actually participate in doubles (is the only reason I'm going, and without me, no CO. D: )

Two, so you can collect all the money for doubles and singles at the same time, to prevent people from backing out before one of the two occurs, thus generating more revenue for NVGA, as well as the players. Seriously, people ALWAYS back out of one after getting owned in the other, and rarely stay for finals, either way.

Sinz, seriously, this NEEDS to happen. CO got it all done in one day, despite having TERRIBLE management running it (some jerk took over for Nite, and almost ruined the tourney), and our numbers weren't too shabby.

Yo, this is DancingFighterG. There will no changing in schedule tony. people have booked plane tickets, took time off for work for this. If you want you can have another team tournament on Saturday but the championship for the team tournament must take place on Friday. It's been up on the website to long to change it now.

Yo, this is DancingFighterG. If you want to run a team tournament first and then do singles i'm fine with that but the championship for teams will happen on Friday. It's been on the website for a while now and it wouldn't be right to change it for people who are coming just for that. Have another team tournament on Saturday and that's makes everyone happy.

That sounds good to me. Little fake one on Fri, big boy's teams on Sat. That's sexy.

Nite is getting the money from you tomorrow. His number is (720) 225-7695

Yo, this is not DancingFighterG. I totally just registered...see you guys there

EDIT: Hey, I meant to ask, its only $10 if you show up only for the tourney correct? I am not really looking forward to having to pay more than $10 again for a tourney
Sorry, you have to pay the venue fee no matter what. Preregister! You'll save yourself ten dollars.

Alright, I'll pm you my phone number right now.

Two, so you can collect all the money for doubles and singles at the same time, to prevent people from backing out before one of the two occurs, thus generating more revenue for NVGA, as well as the players. Seriously, people ALWAYS back out of one after getting owned in the other, and rarely stay for finals, either way.
I have your back on this one; but like DFG said, there will be no changes to the schedule, unfortunately.

I hate it when people back out of either doubles or singles. Seriously, just because a player doesn't do well in singles/doubles, it doesn't mean they won't have better luck in the other.

Edit: Old Yoshi's Island as a counterpick? Hanenbow is banned?

Hanenbow needs to be banned, seriously, wtf are you guys thinking?

Also, fake teams is on Friday, real teams is on Sat. DFG said we could have teams on both days. It's gonna be just like C3T, only you get a trophy for Friday instead of Saturday. You guys better participate in real teams, or CO will be very sad, since that's the reason we're coming, anyway.

Big boy teams will cost the same as regular teams, but with 1000% more Colorado goodness.

When should we start big boy teams, btw? Before Singles, obviously.

Colorado isn't going. You can blame DFG and his complete refusal to allow for us to make any sort of money off of teams. NVGA and the C3T series have always been notorious for screwing up how teams is supposed to work for Smash, but we've finally become fed up with it. Unlike Melee, Brawl is pretty terrible when you aren't playing teams. So 'grats, DFG! Your refusal to treat us as anything more than a source of money has netted NVGA another loss. Haven't you ever wondered why the C3T series gets NO OoS love for Smash? Because NVGA screwed over Utah, NM, and Arizona, EVERY SINGLE TIME!

I'm sick of defending DFG and NVGA because he's a nice guy. Truth is, we never saw just how horrible NVGA ran Smash because we never had to pay a lot of money for one of their tournaments. This time, we did, and it kinda opened up our eyes.

Don't get me wrong, Greg. We'll still go to C3T. We have to, it's good money. However, two huge things are going to be happening in CO.

1) We're starting our Melee scene up again. Brawl is only good for doubles. Singles is broken to fuck, and boring as shit.

2) This marks the re-emergence of our indie tournies. This means that myself, Nite, and possibly Rafa will be running our own tournaments, with GOOD rules, GOOD management, and GOOD treatment of OoS smashers. Look forward to these, they will be Smashing of the highest quality.

Sorry, NM, we WILL be coming to play you at another tournament, just not one where we can't even have a decent consolation for teams.

Also, Ferdi isn't going to any more tournaments. Brawl is boring as **** to him, and this was kinda the last straw.

tl;dr- Good luck, Jeris. NM, we love you, but NVGA can suck our balls.

Oh, and to clarify, we're not coming because we're unable to do teams first on Saturday, DESPITE what DFG said earlier. Seriously, we'd get like... 3 teams to play after Singles finals. Not even worth it. GGs, NVGA. MLG>>>You, seriously.

Sad to hear that Tony. We were definitely looking forward to seeing you guys here. Meh...stuff happens I guess. Besides, you guys would have scared all the noobs away from tourneys forever! JK. But seriously. Take it easy over there in CO then, ja?

I'm sorry to hear that CO can't come either. Hopefully it'll warm your heart that Jeris won singles. NVGA is definitely nowhere near MLG, but I can guarantee to you that the overall scale + sponsorships would have made doubles a somewhat worthwhile trip.

Plus when we finished brawl singles we hosted a mini melee tournament and overall agreed to what you and Ferdi said, that brawl singles is nowhere near as entertaining as doubles. Tentatively NM's melee scene may be revived as well. We even held a brawl items tournament to see what Evo really meant, and we were surprised. The results already showed the top ranked players receive top placings, regardless of non-broken items. I think this event was moreover experimentation to see how we should progress in brawl.

Also a quick shoutout to ALL ATTENDANTS OF THE SUPERCON:
There was a missing copy of Brawl I found last night. I turned it over to DFG, but if you aren't planning on coming to the Con on Sunday, I could pick it up for any of you. Call me or Greg.

Thanks again for the tourney, it was massively fun. I wasn't surprised to see that Brawl's finals were the most important and everyone in the area ditched their game to watch it. I also got some insight in the GH community as well.
See you all around, I'll host a melee/brawl fest sometime soon.

People already say that the only way Brawl could get any competitive, would be to introduce items. Oh, and finals are only the most viewed matches cause I assume you guys got it done early and it was one of your few starting tournaments. In a while, finals become boring since it's the exact same people playing the exact same characters and the game being done until after every other game finals were done.

Jeris still can't beat my Snake, or will he =O

Hahaha!! That's funny, I thought someone said Brawl singles was boring. I used to think that too, until I watched Alphabravo and Jeris go at it. I've never seen such intense, edge-of your seat madness, even in Melee. WAAAY more intense than anything I've ever seen. Bet Paul would have won too, but he suicided in his last stock of the third match. Sigh...those were the best matches of everness. Finals were pretty intense too, but when compared to those other matches, they really weren't that amazing.

Yeah, after that mini melee tournament, I realized how much more epic melee's singles is. Those Jeris vs. Paul matches were exciting, but still nowhere near melee status. Meanwhile, in melee, doubles was always fun but kind of an afterthought. I for one would be a happy camper if the standard smash event consisted of a doubles brawl tournament and a melee singles tournament. Of course, I don't expect everyone to agree with me on that.

Anyway, I had a blast, great games and good times to every one of ya. In case anyone's wondering, I was Steven, the DK player.

If doubles had of been an option for us, we would have come. Problem is, it wasn't. D:

Anyway, CO is prolly gonna host a tournament in July. You guys should come.

Was it recorded? Matchup/split? Plus, I'm **** sure nothing comes close to PC/KDJ/M2K finals in melee. I mean the only OOS tourney you've went to was ours right? And we weren't that good.

Am I the only one who likes Brawl more than melee?
Also Ferdi, I don't choose Snake because he is broken. When the game started, before everyone was like Snake is broken as ****. I choose to play him, I still play Falcon, and I still love playing both of them.

Personally, I hated the venue after a bit. It was too big. At one point I had yelled 8 matches and only 1 t.v. was being used. I was pretty pissed. Then that crappy program ****ed up. It was a fun tournament. But, I think it could have been a lot better if the venue was like half the size.

I really don't care for melee anymore, everything just looks the same to me in melee. When I was watching Erich play, I was like, oh its just marth again, same old same old. But, when I was playing against Jeris, I was really surprised by him.

I like Brawl Singles and Brawl Doubles. Its not just because I win, but because I have fun. I find Snake fun to play as. I don't care how broken you guys proclaim him to be. I don't care.
I lost my voice guys. :(

I like Brawl more right now because of the current diversity of characters and stages. It gets tiring to see Fox Falco ect. in every match but at least in brawl there more diversity in characters. Plus I'm better at brawl than melee. But I love all three games. they are all too fun.

You know, you're right, once everyone finds out the top 3(I'm just going to make a quick guess Snake, ROB, GaW/Marth/Luigi), that's all you'll see in tourneys too.
