I don't think so, but there might be some in free play.

As much as I would love playing melee, I suggest not to put in any melee in free play at all, this should strictly be brawl throughout, at least until grand finals of singles, crews, and CO vs. NM crews.

Whoops double post o well.

Ferdi edit: What do you guys think on making both tourneys Saturday? I highly think that would be a better option since most of us OOSers still have school on Friday and we'd have to go 6 hours to get to the venue. Highly doubt you guys will be going into Monday even with the amount of people there since brawl tourneys go fast for some reason.
Haha. Lol.

Okay guys, sorry I haven't been active lately, or ever for that matter. I'll be at the SuperCon, and I'll compete in SSBB and Guitar Hero III :)

So, just to make sure, we don't need to bring setups, that's NVGA's problem. Right? But it's definitely BYOC.

Plus, I agree with Davis and Paul and numerous other people - that site is absolute bull****. When you think there's a link to another website, there isn't. When there isnt a link to where you want to go, you end up going to anothoer page you don't need to or refresh the same page. NVGA is tight and all, and Jason Montoya is the coolest TD I've ever met, but still. They need a new web designer. (I'm finished with my rant)

So hows school for all you guys? Hows brawl? I can guarantee this: I won't be playing Brawl as much for practice as I did for melee. My play time for brawl will never be over 9000 :(

That's power level Neil, not play time. Power level.

I can guarantee that I just don't play as much video game as I used to, at least right now. Which is alright, I've got a very full plate right now. Physically, mentally, and emotionally in particular. School's...alright, I guess. Anyways, wrong thread to be posting this in.

I don't know how to pre-register on the site mates.

We had a few extra people bring in setups(mostly Wii's) cause they didn't have enough. And with ours we just set them up and started playing.

You don't need to practice to be good at brawl. One thing I find everyone does, is that they capitalize "B"rawl but not "M"elee o_O? Why wouldn't you capitalize both or not capitalize at all?

Click under were it says "Single Events/Workshops" (there is a white banner underneath it) then just fill in the info on the page.
Yea that confused me a little, just be sure to click on the sigs(some people doesn't know the difference between sig and banner, like me, so I just say sigs.)

Actually, we could use all the help we can get. After all, tournaments depend on not only the tournament host but the players attending as well. The more set-ups, the better.

I hate it when people complain about there not being enough set-ups yet they didn't bring one. Nobody wants to wait around for hours on end between each of their tournament matches.

Yeah, I'm sorry, but that website is just terribly irritating to navigate. School SUCKS! I cannot wait for this year to be over as it has been the worst year yet, easily.

Rofl.

How many setups do we have currently?

Yea, you should put a setup list Sinz, so we know how many are currently there. Even though it's not our problem, if there's not enough, we OOSers might be able to chip in Wiis. We don't want OUR tourney experience be screwed just cause we didn't bring Wiis. So just put up a list and see if you guys can bring in consoles cause that'd be better on our part.

Ferdi Edit: Who's up for before tourneys money matches? Don't be scared now.

Considering taping the matches, are you guys using VHS connected T.V.s with enough blank tapes simply for smash? Or is it all going to be in camera, etc.

DFG when are you going to get the smash C3T videos up? If you can't get them up just hand the tapes over to me/Tony.

As Sinz stated, there are a few people that will be recording via vhs tapes. Also, Erich will be recording via handheld digital camera.

If anyone can bring recording equipment it would be much appreciated.

Yo, this is DancingFighterG. Hey Ferdi, I will get the tape to you soon. I've been so busy with the Con that my guys haven't had the time either. I will get that tape you. At the Supercon though I should be able to record matches via VCR guys. This way we can get a direct feed.

Allright DFG thanks a bunch, if you want I can pick up the video from you. Actually, I don't know how you recorded(iirc it was a camcorder?) if it is then we'll talk more about how to pick up the video.

Not too sure if this is possible, but...

Wondering if they can decrease the amount of time given in each match.
8 minutes is quiet a bit of time. Any way to decrease it to 6 or 7 mins? If possible.

If the con is 2 days singles is on the 2nd day, do I have to show up and pay/confirm on the first day or something?

Also, is there anyone with that $55 Country Inn room that I can split with? Preferably someone who has a room for Friday and Saturday night before heading back to whatever state they came from.

I concur with 8 minutes being WAY too long. I've been to 7 tournaments now and no one has had more than 6 or 7.

The rules are set. You don't have to show up on the first day to sign up for day two. Just come on day two. The time limit is at 8 minutes so that agressive players have a better chance against stallish campers.
