I do not 'require' it, but if people are willing to give lifts I'll generally take them...plus it increases the chances of me going, don't have to spend money on transport, it's quicker. Since Ted's meets will be starting later now if they're on Friday's still, lifts are probably the only thing that'll get me to go anyway, since I most likely won't be bothered with spending about 2-3hours return trip for about the same amount of time actually playing.

I know I'm more out of your way though Gords (in terms of getting from mine to the highway) so if ZXV is going I'll ask him for a lift, if not, I'd appreciate the lift again Gords.

On second thoughts, just assume you're giving me a lift Gords (assuming you were offering). Especially if you're gonna pick up ted as well, getting there when the meet starts is good.

also if i show up around 5 are you planning to sleep between when i get there and when you are leaving. if i chose to sleep i was hoping i could sleep till around 12 but i dont feel comfortable being there without you there. but if you arent planning to sleep i may come over but not sleep. otherwise i will sleep in the car. also would it be ok if i took your wii so we can play smash64 at teds.

ok I will try to cover everything real quick.

I'm doing a stream test at tom's for 4/48 planning purposes. So I will need my wii because my recording stuff throws a fit if the signal is not ntsc and for that I need hacks. Anyway, I gave ted smash64 so you should be able to play it anyway.

As I said in the other post, I am leaving at around 9am, maybe slightly after. As far as my sleeping times go, I was planning on sleeping from 11pm-5am to coincide with you getting here, then just staying up getting ready to go and doing some last-minute coding and whatnot. You may as well sleep during this period though, I'm going to be a little busy for the most part. I'll be coming back either saturday night or sunday morning (not sure yet).

Also, it's totally fine if you want to sleep here till 12 or whatever. Half the time you leave without me leaving my room anyway so I don't see how this is any different lol. My family are really familiar with you so it's fine.

Ok guys. ACL finals and BAM are just around the corner and I'm feeling like we need to be training hard. Yesterday was a good start. It felt more like the meets of old where I actually cared.

So here's the plan. More wknd ****. I am going to make a huge effort to be ahead of all my uni work at all times so that I can go to EVERYTHING and even host stuff ALL THE TIME.

I also have a good idea for a schedule based training system that I think we should implement when we are trying to train seriously. I also think dedicating meets to brawl/melee or at least allocating like half the expected meet time to each game rather than just switching randomly could help us.

EDIT: Wvz has never played OoT :O

They had a 64 tourney at ACL melbourne. I registered but never heard anythign more about it, then afterwards someone was like "They said nobody turned up for their matches" and I was like "I didn't even know we had matches" sooooo i donno.

well i have been to qld twice and reloaded, they also said they were going to acl sydney and as far as i know they didnt show, i was going to go to acl melbourne but work screwed me over. as far as i knew they were ment to be there as wekll but i never heard or saw any smash 64 related stuff after that event so assumed they didnt go. teds post clears that up though. its just that i still dont know who they are even though i attend regular tourneys both here and oos (even though this year my oos attendance has fallen due to work and me trying to save annual leave for japan).

Saturday meet, finally! I'm so there. I'll also mention the meet to my regular USyd smash friends, in case they're interested in coming.

On a related note, I'll be driving from Concord, so I may be able to do a shuttle to and from Strathfield train station for those who don't live on the outskirts of the city (what's the appeal of Outer Western Sydney anyway?)

We have several TVs, one of which is small enough that I should be able to bring it. Unfortunately, my Wii is pretty much mounted inside the cupboard.

If my USyd friends are able to come (I'm not sure how likely that is however), I'll tell them to bring what they can.
