I trust CoroCoro because they were the ones who unveiled the new pokemon. I predict that the starting roster will be all of the chars shown on the dojo + the last newcomer spot on the dojo. It cannot be the final roster because Nintendo would not spoil the game even before release.

I really doubt they are going to have the secret characters. They would have to be told or have someone working for or with them that works for Nintendo or something.

...That he's not exactly sure what the Japanese statement truly said, so he's giving us different options?

I guessing CC works closely with nintendo and knows these things. Remember, they confirmed things about Brawl BEFORE they popped up on the site and they DO have scans of screens in their mag that where never on the site. They also was the leading source of Pokemon DP info for us Pokemon fans, releasing a great deal of the monsters and new machinics before the game had any official adverts.

They have insider info and Im guessing that this "We MIGHT just show the starters" is their way of saying that they aint sure what nintendo will allow/ tell them to do at the momment. They can release all this info if Nintendo allows it. . . and this seems like a good, solid way to release all of them without them being leaked by a Japanese fan stilling a copy from the suppy shipped to stores (is going to happen. . .). It would actually make sense to stop that from happening. . . arounf 15th of Jan Im sure someone would have gotten their hands on a copy in Japan.

And for the record I use to worry about the full roster being leaked. . . but than they delaid the game. I can handle a delaid but I will d***well look at any spoiler around now. . . We would have known the full roster by now if it where not delaid so screw it

And I hope it's the full roster because thats around the time I get out of school.
This could actually explain wht we haven't had a new character revealed in the past month. . . I can go 3 more weeks of non character revealing updates if CC released the full roster on Dec 15 (Dec 14th for us. . . probly before that seeing as they had lots of leaks for pokemon days before the mag came out)

At first I didn't want to be spoiled, but then I thought of how little of an impact the spoiler would have on the game's fun factor. I would have looked on the internet to figure out how to unlock the characters anyway. Also, we'll still have two full months before actually playing the game, so I think we deserve a little treat, especially after speculating this long for one game.

I think either will be great. Knowing all of starters will end some of the speculation (it might give us a better idea of the final amount of characters), but knowing all of the characters will relieve everybody.

Actually, not really, considering melee had 14. I wouldn't consider 15 anywhere near alot for that simple fact. It is probable though, but I'd prefer more to be honest. More starters would probably mean more secret characters

To clear up any doubts I translated the article and it says the following:


"According to the official website of Coro Coro magazine by Shogakkan, the Monday edition of January's Coro Coro comic due to be released on Dec 15 will come with a Smash Bros Brawl guide book explaining all the characters.

This guide considered an expose of Smash Bros Brawl will provide detailed information in a full out Smash Bros Brawl character explanation booklet.

Whether "all characters" refers to the hidden characters as well is not known. This point will be cleared up with the information provided on Dec. 15th."

I agree with the author of this article. I checked out the other website and it states "all characters" but does not specify. So perhaps it might just be the starting roster.So I guess that leaves us with the same doubts unfortunately.

They might be part or most of the starting roster, but I doubt they will be the full roster. I just don't see them giving brawl a smaller starting roster than melee. Honestly, I think the starting roster will be only a few less than the ones released on the dojo. I'm thinking there might be a reason for this month long lack of a character.

That article just creates more rumors. The original Corocoro post simply says " a complete guide of all characters in Brawl" Take it as you will
