no ****......seriously...... you honestly don't think I knew this or something of the sort.....its kinda silly how i need to spell out every word so people would understand. My question is: Why does he dominate every tournament he goes to? He consistently places very high and I wonder why nobody else has even rivaled him.

He plays the game everyday. This is how the man pays his bills.

If playing this game and not winning meant you didn't eat, I'm sure you would go harder then anyone else too.

Mr. ConCon kind of took the first set off of ZeRo's Diddy Kong ever. I think that alone is deserving of a spot among the top Luigi players.

Not to mention he was already ranked top 5 in SoCal, a region full of players like Xzax, Tyrant, K9 and Larry (don't even have to mention ZeRo): all which happen to be on this exact list. So... yeah, he's easily the best Luigi in the West Coast, and completely reasonable to say he's either 1st or 2nd best overall, based on his results in his region and his overall skill alone (anyone who watches him on his stream would notice this immediately).

And I don't consider the "Diddy was nerfed" card as a legitimate excuse; he was still dominating in every tournament he went to (including beating Nairo and some top players in Japan), so the fact that Mr. ConCon was not only able to beat his Diddy but even two stock him at the last match of the first set shows a lot about him as a player.

If the TO's are skimping on uploading the results, try and ask them for the Challonge API. That way you can upload it yourself and then us ranking mods can help work out the details of claims and the like. Some TO's just aren't inclined to use the system yet though (which is something that's being worked on and hopefully improvements will be made) but until then we all gotta do what we can. Without the API, it'd also be possible to build the bracket yourself manually and link to the Challonge bracket but I don't recommend it, as not only is it more difficult, but if the TO did upload after faulty points could be given up to screw up the system, it's better to co-operate with them anyway.

Also please do not double post, use the edit function instead.

Alot of the challonge accounts in SoCal though are actually the venue's challonges. I can get about 2 of the bigger scale ones to do it or i'll do it for them but as for the smaller one with significant results idk what to do about that lol

Umebura 15 finished, so more suggestions.

Fsann () has qualified for Degree 2, beating Nietonoᶩ¹ᶪ and Nyanko²ᶪ. He took 3rd at the tournament.
Songun[そんぐん]() has qualified for Degree 3, beating Broodᶩ²ᶪ and Earthᶩ³ᶪ, making Top 12 overall. However, many of his victories were using .
Pichi[ピチ]() has qualified for Degree 3, beating Broodᶩ²ᶪ and Yuiᶩ³ᶪ. He made Top 6.
Shu[シュウ]() has qualified for Degree 4, beating Earthᶩ³ᶪ and making Top 8.

9th in socal, #1 in san diego, ive beaten tearbear, rich brown, falln, phoenix, imhip and markus in tourney going solo mk and won a bunch of tournaments with him

Tearbear, Rich Brown, Falln, Pheonix, ImHip, and Markus are all listed in SoCal's PR listing.

On a different note, why the hell isn't ZeRo listed for Captain Falcon? He has won major tournaments in Grand Finals (such as Aftershock and NCR) with that character and recently referred to all the Captain Falcon players out there as trash who don't know how to use their character. ZeRo is also using Shiek way more lately and recently beat FOW at DVD #9 with her. Overtime, he'll probably become the most notable Shiek player in the U.S.

Also, all brackets can be uploaded to smashboards now without the creator account's API auth. Just need a valid challonge account. So now (withstanding double ups or whatever), it's feasible for anyone to add tournaments they've entered added into the rankings.

Shouldn't @Denti be listed as a Sheik main? Well... her or Yoshi... I don't know... Also, there was a dude called "Mook", a Pikachu player, who apparently took out Denti or @AeroLink_the_SoulMaster, but I don't remember who and in what tournament - I just remember the commentators mentioning it and I might have misheard. I think Phenom, a Fox player, took out someone as well, but I don't really know. Aero and Denti should be able to clear this information/misinformation.

NAKAT was also taken out by Poke, a Luigi player if I remember correctly, and Poke was taken out by Holy, Ally's brother, who uses ROB. NAKAT also lost to Holy as well in losers. Sheik is prolly the character him and half the diddy mains should be changed too, his Yoshi hasn't done anything yet. It actually loses to some of his city's players forcing him to go Diddy or Sheik against em.

Since Austin/Dallas are the only two places that uses challonge, thankfully even if Austin keeps to their facebook results instead of snoreboreds anyone can upload the bracket (at least top 32, no idea how many entrants drowned in pools)

Yeah, I don't really know why Denti picked Yoshi since his Sheik is still a solid character. Yes, having Bair unnecessarily nerfed hurts, but it wasn't a major, drop several tiers nerf that I don't think anyone has gotten during the game's short life span. Launch/transition from game to game, however... Anyway, just kind of curious and want it to be clarified.

How notable players are going to go with patches dropping is awkward.
Highly contentious characters is still a thing.
My current thoughts tend towards their degree-1ness being defined by certain characters they've already succeeded with, and to justify other characters they need have results (beating other degree 1s/maintaining results with different characters; the only two players on Earth I'm aware of that this applies to is ZeRo and Rain).

You should probably go full-ball on those Texas results Slush, I haven't heard/seen them.

He got second place at the most recent Come On and Ban, but double eliminated 6WX this weekend at a Saturday night tournament. [LINK] It's pretty much unanimous among Meta Knight mains that Sonic is one of Meta Knight's worst matchups, yet he managed to beat the best Sonic player in the world. There is absolutely no reason why he shouldn't be on the PR for Meta Knight.

Denti didn't start maining the character until recently and in the time he has mained him, Denti has made tremendous progress. He also feels Yoshi is the second or third best character in the game, so that's probably part of why he chose to main that character over Shiek. He also probably enjoys Yoshi more than Shiek. As of right now, he pretty much has four characters he can choose from and wants to primarily focus on Yoshi. I'm thrilled he's maining Yoshi now. I feel Yoshi is one of the most under-utilized characters in the game. Overrated in certain areas, but still a very strong character overall (especially after the latest balance patch).

is there a dummy's guide to uploading tournament results? there's over 20 san diego tournaments that are not on smashboards featuring ito, tearbear, myself, phoenix, and german player serudos.

How notable players are going to go with patches dropping is awkward.
Highly contentious characters is still a thing.
My current thoughts tend towards their degree-1ness being defined by certain characters they've already succeeded with, and to justify other characters they need have results (beating other degree 1s/maintaining results with different characters; the only two players on Earth I'm aware of that this applies to is ZeRo and Rain).

You should probably go full-ball on those Texas results Slush, I haven't heard/seen them.

There's also the issue of not knowing if certain players have rankings here and if they have accounts here. Also, there are people who change tags several times leaving stuff like is juice.Doom also juice.SH Max Ketchum?

People who use different characters do create an issue since they might be known for one character like how people tend to think of Rice as a Dr. Mario player, but he took a set off of Zex's Sheik with Yoshi instead. Trevonte is known as a Palutena player, but Trevonte took out Zex's Diddy and Sheik with his Sheik in this Winners Finals.

Oh, and speaking of patches, isn't Lucas slated for a June release? Yeah... Those placebos are going to be a pain if Nintendo doesn't specify that the patch is only for Lucas being patched in. Knowing Nintendo, that might happen, but knowing people, placebos are going to run rampant. I kind of wished Nintendo would just crush our souls by telling us everything about the patches since everything is bound to be found out which would crush our souls, but later.

Edit: Seeing the Dismantle tournament that Keitaro, False, and Dabuz went to makes me feel sad some of the players, especially Akiro (Sheik), Greenbeast (Olimar) - he's Freebeast until EVO 'cause of a MM -, and many others won't be really well-known since the Midwest is kind of ignored. If Keitaro was listed here, then several players would be considered.

6wx is now their 5th sonic and all of them are more than happy to be lame with hammer

6wX at least uses Burning Spin Dash among other customs and his Sonic play is definitely on a level that if the other Sonic players, Scourge, Arikie, Mocha, etc., can get to, then it'll be less "lame" and will lead to a stronger scene. There's not much you can do isolated and that's why players interacting with different scenes can improve each other. Man, do I want to Fatality to travel around and turn or at least inspire every Captain Falcon player to be monsters. He did or just did for a young player named SaltOne. Anyway, I digress.

It's worst noting 6WX used all three of Sonic's side specials at the latest Come On and Ban. I personally love custom moves and really hope they don't all get banned. Hammer Spindash is definitely one of the best customs in the game though.
