Well you know what mother****er!!? **** you and your candy *** with chicken noodle soup arms and ***** legs and, lol jk jk, course it wasn't me. I was gonna do it yesterday when I saw that player finder post but I left the labtop on and forgot till I had to leave my friend's house.

Of course you know it's JFox Pocky so why do you always have to be so hostile at his attempt to make the world better? "sniff". Either way, imma try and update it now but with the way the clickable playerfinder thing is set-up it makes things look harder but I got it.

Yeah, any place an hour or less from me is conisdered local smashing for me. If there's any smashfest or just smash gatherings at your place or just a Tunes smash gathering over ther in general let me or any RU smashers know and we'll hopefully come down there. @JFox: I didn't speak to Woz yet but I thought mabye, for now, we could get together and gather up as much tourney results as possible. I was thinking I'll get the ones from NY and you could do NJ for now. After that we can discuss stuff and help each other out. Let me know what you think of it.

Edit: I got bored and started the NJ tourney stuff already so imma do as much of that as I can for now.

The NJ tourneys are pretty simple if you know how to go about getting the info.

Most NJ tourneys are either Cheezit's or Smashacre's, so all you gotta do is go into the first page of those two threads, and all the results are there for you.

Other than those two, I think the only other NJ tourney I can remember is the south jersey one that recently passed.

I have NO clue as to how we are supposed to get any NY tourney results. Lots of times the weeklies don't even get full results posted. And I don't think they are archived anywhere.

Other than killa fleet, what other tourneys get run there? Does DA still run anything?

We also need PA tournies, but I think those are fewer in number, and easier to track.

And we need big tournies like pound and VLS, and whatever other ones went down.

Honestly, the easiest way to do this is if everyone who went to a tourney would just come in here and say "I went to this tourney" so that we could keep track up what results we need to find. But no one is willing to do that.

Important Announcement:

A new sub-section will be added to the finder under the power rankings. It will be called "tournament results archives" or something to that effect. The purpose of it is to help the panelists to gauge playes skill level by having a full list of tournament results which can be reviewed during the rankings period.

This task is unimaginably hard for one, or even a few people to do on there own because NJ players go to SO MANY tourneys, including many that are out of state. This is the communities chance to help us, which will than help you. Here's what you can do:

Whenever a tournament passes by, you must take the full results from that tournament and post them here. ANYONE can do this. I suggest that the following people do this:

-Anyone who is on the rankings currently, or wants to be on them in the future.

-The tournament director that ran the tournamnet.

-Anyone who went to the tournament.

I don't care if 5 people come into this thread and post the same full results. As long as full results get posted, we are happy. The end product is that the player finder admins will take those results, and store them in the tournament results archive, and they will be on display for the entire community to see. At the end of the tournament season, the panelists will review these results, and use them to make a more accurate list. When players have qualms with the list, it will be very easy for them to go into the archive and see why the panelists decided the way they did.


***IMPORTANT***- The end of this season is coming up and we need results REAL bad if you want to see a good list. So I ask that if you went to a tournament, even out of state, that you do what you can to get those full results in here. If you can't find the results, just tell us the name and approximate date of the tourney, and we will do our best to find them.

That's just after an hour or 2 of searching so I could be missing stuff at the moment. Although there may not be full results or brackets for some I'm still posting them here. I need to go to a big tourney real soon, possibly this weekend. TUNES BIWEEKLY!!!!

People, please at least mention a tourney you went to if you don't see the one you went to up there.

Jay, hit me up about discussing the rankings when we need to do it. Finals + going to FL over x-mas may keep me pretty busy.

I know the rankings are suppose to be updated every 3 months, but a lot of talent isn't going to be on there if it ends that fast. I also think one more major tournament would help with arguments over placings, I say we just extend this to after pound and make one last list before brawl, whats everyone think about this? theres not going to be enough time between 12/27 and Feb 2-3 pound 3 to make another accurate list, but this one can be super accurate and stuff if we extend it to after pound 3. Basically by then we will have enough tournament placings for a no johns no arguments solid list for what could be the end of melee.

I'm not even positive Woz/EL/copy/keitaro/triad/cheezit even qualify and reik/LK are PA Jay do you even qualify yet? Sensei just squeaked by with 2 NJ tournaments from the smashacres otherwise he woudln't make it yet either, what i'm trying to say is extending it to pound 3 will give more accurate results and more people chances to get into more Nj tournaments and qualify for the list. There will probably be 1-2 more Tunes biweeklies before pound not including the one this Sunday. And TSA might have a tournament by then, also the south jersey guys could throw one.

But i don't see much changing before the 27th, so it would basically be a contest between Bass/Eggm/Sensei/m2k/tec0/inui and maybe jfox/triad if they qualify i'm not sure. More time could allow more people to get on the scene and have a bigger list. People who come to mind are the people on the current list posted above that need more tournies and Treble.

Whats everyone think? I'm all for waiting and extending it till after pound 3 for more people to be on it and it to be a very accurate final list before brawl, because we all know melee may or may not be around after, hopefully the first option but we never know.

I agree with Eggm, the rankings update should probably be pushed back a little bit so more results could come in. CCX shutting down and cheezit being busy meant less tournaments than usual in this 3 month period.

I also agree with Eggm I personally think its too early and I don't even recall sensei entering that many NJ tournies this season.

A NJ power ranking list without sensei is simply absurd also lots and lots of great players in NJ aren't going to be on the list.

The new list shouldn't change that radically yet. I think we should wait as well. More players that we know are supposed to be on the list wil be there and we won't kick ourselves after we make the new list.
