At this rate, it may just be a costume unlockable with the amiibo.

EDIT: I totally want this to be real. I really, really do. Just trying to maintain a healthy amount of skepticism about this.

You seem to forget Kratos and the Battletoads being a thing.
I doubt an amiibo means anything involving exclusivity to Nintendo from now on.

Kratos and Rash didn't require large scale manufacturing that actually cost significant amounts money outside of what's already used for development
