Spyro hasn't been PlayStation-exclusive since the PS1 era, so "nearly" isn't the correct term. Regardless, I do agree that he doesn't have the slightest chance of appearing in a Smash Bros. game.nearly exclusively Playstation character
You're right actually. My B. Regardless Jack has appeared in more Nintendo system games then him.Spyro hasn't been PlayStation-exclusive since the PS1 era, so "nearly" isn't the correct term. Regardless, I do agree that he doesn't have the slightest chance of appearing in a Smash Bros. game.
Not to mention Nintendo already owns a purple dragon that's from a nearly dead franchise, why go to Activision for another one?Spyro hasn't been PlayStation-exclusive since the PS1 era, so "nearly" isn't the correct term. Regardless, I do agree that he doesn't have the slightest chance of appearing in a Smash Bros. game.
Yeah, Jack doesn't have a huge fanbase for Smash at all. It's kinda small, I don't see many people who even consider having him in. Personally I don't want to see him before people like Rayman and Snake of course, but I mean, he'd be in before Spyro.Spyro has always played second fiddle when it comes to Playstation's mascots.
Even in Japan, Crash has small fanbase who want him in Smash while Spyro's is non-existant. Idk about Jack Frost's popularity but he does have the relevancy thing going for him.
No they don't unless if the old generation does recognize the "new character" and Geno has already became popular since 2006 people still can recognize him to this day but he is just being less talked about. That is literally the same with EVERY CHARACTER IN EXISTENCE, and most characters gain notability faster than Geno, and become way more well-known.
Geno has appeared in one game. He is third party, and Nintendo has no reason to try to gain the rights from Square Enix due to his small fanbase. DLC is all about fanservice, and while Geno would be cool, he doesn't appeal to the fans like Mewtwo with his wide demand or Ryu with his notoriety and unique moveset.
Give me something cool and unique that Geno could bring to Smash, or proof of his "large fanbase", and maybe I'll believe your argument a sliver more.
chances means nothing it's all about being "possible" but not "impossible"I mean, I'm just gonna do a little thing here...
3rd Parties With Super Higher Chances Then Geno! The Gameshow
Rayman
Professor Layton
Bomberman
Jack Frost (Shin Megami Tensei)
Phoenix Wright
Tails/Knuckles/Eggman
Heihachi
And that's just a few to be honest. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm just being honest.
Jack Frost also gets a cameo in SMT X FE. Th Anna expy works at the Hi Ho mart tooSpyro has always played second fiddle when it comes to Playstation's mascots.
Even in Japan, Crash has small fanbase who want him in Smash while Spyro's is non-existant. Idk how well Jack Frost ranks but he does have the relevancy thing going for him, and being a well liked character in general.
What?No they don't unless if the old generation does recognize the "new character" and Geno has already became popular since 2006 people still can recognize him to this day but he is just being less talked about.
Why do you bring up "give me reasons why x character needs to be in smash"? this has nothing to do about what I was talking about.
I bet Primeape would have something similar.
I wish this was a win pose in Pokken.
Oh **** yes Primeape would be awesomeI bet Primeape would have something similar.
That win pose just screams Primeape.
Also, Spyro was never hugely popular or (at least his PS1 games weren't) critically acclaimed in Japan, so why would Sakurai have any sort of interest in him? Does he even know who Spyro is?Not to mention Nintendo already owns a purple dragon that's from a nearly dead franchise, why go to Activision for another one?
'Spyro? For ****s sake I already said he was too big! Wait, Spyro's different? **** that, I don't want any dragons'Also, Spyro was never hugely popular or (at least his PS1 games weren't) critically acclaimed in Japan, so why would Sakurai have any sort of interest in him? Bro. Spyro is a gaming icon. Jack Frost isn't anywhere close. Skylanders alone has generated over $3b of revenue. Spyro's chances may be minimal, but they exist. Jack's don't.>Implying Jack Frost doesn't have higher chances regardless
First of all, Jack is the Atlus mascot. Second, Skylanders isn't Spyro but it used his name. Thirdly, you said 'lol u mispelt Speeru' when it was a list of characters likelier than Geno, by doing that instead of saying 'u forgaaat speeru' you're implying Geno has higher chances than Jack FrostBro. Spyro is a gaming icon. Jack Frost isn't anywhere close. Skylanders alone has generated over $3b of revenue. Spyro's chances may be minimal, but they exist. Jack's don't.
So Spyro is more likely than Jack Frost by default.
So? Shantae is the mascot of Way Forward. That doesn't mean **** for her chances either. Jack doesn't fit the strict criteria of being a 3rd Party character in Smash Bros. His chances don't even exist for that reason.First of all, Jack is the Atlus mascot.
Skylanders is a Spyro spin off. Just like the Rabbids are for Rayman. A spin off that has sold ~20m units and counting. In addition to the 20m that Spyro already sold.Second, Skylanders isn't Spyro but it used his name.
Geno's chances are exactly the same as Jack's. Non existent. One can't be higher than the other.Thirdly, you said 'lol u mispelt Speeru' when it was a list of characters likelier than Geno, by doing that instead of saying 'u forgaaat speeru' you're implying Geno has higher chances than Jack Frost
Oh man, I can't wait to just barely miss out on preorders again!Amiibo restocks in the U.S are on the way. (As if that means anything)

Said comparison doesn't work when we're getting quite a lot of Atlus games. How doesn't Jack Frost fit the criteria? So? Shantae is the mascot of Way Forward. I mean christ, Spyro is still playable in every single Skylanders game.
Geno's chances are exactly the same as Jack's. Non existent. One can't be higher than the other.
I also don't quite remember writing like an illiterate baby, so I'd suggest you get your eyes checked.
This I need to seeSkylander's success has nothing to do with Spyro. He wasn't even intended to be in the game. At the last moment they decided to paint one of the pre-existing dragon characters purple and call him Spyro because it's not like they were gonna use the license anyway. And that's why Skylanders Spyro doesn't even look like Spyro.
Jack Frost isn't usually a playable character, though. It's like Sqaure Enix getting a Moogle.Said comparison doesn't work when we're getting quite a lot of Atlus games. How doesn't Jack Frost fit the criteria?
Except Spyro fans resent Skylanders
Atlus has shown they wouldn't mind using Jack more than once. Because he's the ****ING MASCOT
Nou
I'm aware Jack isn't requested alot. I was pointing out that saying the mascot of a company owned by SEGA is just as likely as a character owned a company that hates it when people use their IP is ludicrousJack Frost isn't usually a playable character, though. It's like Sqaure Enix getting a Moogle.
....I'm actually okay, with both, though.
In any case, Jack Frost isn't all that requested. Persona/Shin Megami Tensei are still super niche in the states, and it seems like Arle Nadja is a much more requested Sega rep (which an Atlus character would be) in Japan at the moment according to @PushDustIn's latest research.

You can pretty much apply the Bayonetta argument to him. Megami Tensei lacks a significant legacy or impact on the gaming world. It's not significantly well known. Jack Frost isn't an icon.Said comparison doesn't work when we're getting quite a lot of Atlus games. How doesn't Jack Frost fit the criteria?
So? That doesn't stop Skylanders from being a juggernaut, and Spyro from being a part of it.Except Spyro fans resent Skylanders
So what? Way Forward wouldn't mind using Shantae because she's their mascot.Atlus has shown they wouldn't mind using Jack more than once. Because he's the ****ING MASCOT
Ok.
I'm not saying Jack could be a candidate for DLC, but if he was, he'd be bigger than Geno. How the **** are you making this such a big deal? You can pretty much apply the Bayonetta argument to him. Megami Tensei lacks a significant legacy or impact on the gaming world. It's not significantly well known. Jack Frost isn't an icon.
Look at it this way. Spyro is crossing over with Donkey Kong and Bowser. Two of Nintendo's biggest icons. Whose combined game sales exceed 550m.
SMT is crossing over with Fire Emblem. Which is pound for pound one of the least successful Nintendo IPs of all time. Whose game sales don't exceed 5m (by any source I've seen).
So? That doesn't stop Skylanders from being a juggernaut, and Spyro from being a part of it.
So what? Way Forward wouldn't mind using Shantae because she's their mascot.
Ok.
I'm not making it a big deal. I made a joke post and you're the one who quoted me and are blowing it out of proportion. I'm merely replying to your posts.I'm not saying Jack could be a candidate for DLC, but if he was, he'd be bigger than Geno. How the **** are you making this such a big deal?
'Fur Imblm lest sucesfl Ninty franchise' Citation needed, especially as it's doing pretty ****ing well since Awakening and isn't making more money with toys
You're giving me a headache, that's like saying Ubisoft did a good job with their DRM ******** because it did what they wanted
Wayforward. Indie-ish. Atlus. OWNED BY SEGA
I was about to ignore everything you said but you said this. WHO THE **** ELSE WOULD SEGA GET? 'unuzer Sawnek' No. We didn't get another Mega ManLol, the owned by SEGA part makes the suggestion of him even more ludicrous. At least if Way Forward got a character, it would be Shantae (they won't). If SEGA got another, then Jack wouldn't even be a passing thought.
Nice to see Tails is finally getting a GOOD mod for Generations! The last one was just a Sonic reskin so it didn't feel satisfactory. Here's something I want to share with you guys.
As most of you probably know Sonic Generations is a game that has had a bunch of Mods ranging from Model Swapping to Brand New Levels like Metal Harbour, Emerald Coast, Mystic Cave, Frog Forest and Starlight Carnival to name a few.
There have also been other mods such as porting the stages of Colours. The Entire Unleashed Project and even Sonic 06 Levels. But very few actually go as far as too Mod Character Gameplay. Which is what I am here to show you.
Behold an actual Flying Tails Mod. (Still Work in Progress)
If Sega took this concept. And worked around with it on Tails and Knuckles.
Returning tails' flight whilst having his slide move being the tail spin from Adventure.
And giving knuckles the ability to glide and climb up walls and changing the stomp to something like his spiral Dive in Adventure 2 and switching out the slide for a Running Punch similar to something like this which happened in the Opening to Unleashed.
And they might have an extremely good way to being back the old style. Keeping Tails and Knuckles similar to Sonic but giving them their own attributes.
Sorry for the long Post
Meanwhile Sega hates money because the only DLC they made for a successful game was pinball. Lost World get more and better DLC than this, and those were free iircHere's something I want to share with you guys.

Pretty impressed with that Tails mod. I love the Generations modding community. I would love to see the return of multiple playable characters, even though I usually just play as Sonic. Here's something I want to share with you guys.

Ok so you want an answerWhat?
I'm saying that every character gains more fans every year. Whether it be Mickey Mouse, Mario, Harry Potter, or even the niche, obscure characters like Sukapon. Even ****ing Pico from Boku no Pico is gaining fans every year. The point I'm making is that Geno isn't the only character gaining fans every year.
And what I'm asking is why does Geno deserve to be in Smash? Why do you believe so strongly that he should be in Smash? I'm actually curious. As an avid supporter of Shulk back in the day, I can understand devotion to a character, and I want to know your reasonings for wanting Geno in the game. I'm also wondering if you can back up your claims of Geno having a large and ever-growing fanbase.
