Well, props for going the extra mile and doing a Smash 4 mod, but... Yeah, I doubt much more needs to be said.

Spyro hasn't been PlayStation-exclusive since the PS1 era, so "nearly" isn't the correct term. Regardless, I do agree that he doesn't have the slightest chance of appearing in a Smash Bros. game.
You're right actually. My B. Regardless Jack has appeared in more Nintendo system games then him.

Spyro has always played second fiddle when it comes to Playstation's mascots.

Even in Japan, Crash has small fanbase who want him in Smash while Spyro's is non-existant. Idk how well Jack Frost ranks but he does have the relevancy thing going for him, and being a well liked character in general.

Yeah, Jack doesn't have a huge fanbase for Smash at all. It's kinda small, I don't see many people who even consider having him in. Personally I don't want to see him before people like Rayman and Snake of course, but I mean, he'd be in before Spyro.

Star Hill. Why do you ask?
That is literally the same with EVERY CHARACTER IN EXISTENCE, and most characters gain notability faster than Geno, and become way more well-known.

Geno has appeared in one game. He is third party, and Nintendo has no reason to try to gain the rights from Square Enix due to his small fanbase. DLC is all about fanservice, and while Geno would be cool, he doesn't appeal to the fans like Mewtwo with his wide demand or Ryu with his notoriety and unique moveset.

Give me something cool and unique that Geno could bring to Smash, or proof of his "large fanbase", and maybe I'll believe your argument a sliver more.
No they don't unless if the old generation does recognize the "new character" and Geno has already became popular since 2006 people still can recognize him to this day but he is just being less talked about.
Why do you bring up "give me reasons why x character needs to be in smash"? this has nothing to do about what I was talking about.
I mean, I'm just gonna do a little thing here...

3rd Parties With Super Higher Chances Then Geno! The Gameshow
Rayman
Professor Layton
Bomberman
Jack Frost (Shin Megami Tensei)
Phoenix Wright
Tails/Knuckles/Eggman
Heihachi

And that's just a few to be honest. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm just being honest.
chances means nothing it's all about being "possible" but not "impossible"

What?
I'm saying that every character gains more fans every year. Whether it be Mickey Mouse, Mario, Harry Potter, or even the niche, obscure characters like Sukapon. Even ****ing Pico from Boku no Pico is gaining fans every year. The point I'm making is that Geno isn't the only character gaining fans every year.

As an avid supporter of Shulk back in the day, I can understand devotion to a character, and I want to know your reasonings for wanting Geno in the game. I'm also wondering if you can back up your claims of Geno having a large and ever-growing fanbase.

Also I want to say that using a character's current design against them is really silly.

Just because a character has a newer design doesn't necessarily mean they're gonna go with that one. There's already multiple examples of this.

Not to mention Nintendo already owns a purple dragon that's from a nearly dead franchise, why go to Activision for another one?
Also, Spyro was never hugely popular or (at least his PS1 games weren't) critically acclaimed in Japan, so why would Sakurai have any sort of interest in him? Does he even know who Spyro is?

>Implying Jack Frost doesn't have higher chances regardless
Bro. Spyro is a gaming icon. Jack Frost isn't anywhere close. Skylanders alone has generated over $3b of revenue. Spyro's chances may be minimal, but they exist. Jack's don't.

So Spyro is more likely than Jack Frost by default.

First of all, Jack is the Atlus mascot. Second, Skylanders isn't Spyro but it used his name. Thirdly, you said 'lol u mispelt Speeru' when it was a list of characters likelier than Geno, by doing that instead of saying 'u forgaaat speeru' you're implying Geno has higher chances than Jack Frost

Can we just... not go down this road again? Like, seriously?
"This characters chances are WAY higher than this one's!"
"Dude hell no, this guy is popular because "blablablabla" that guy has no chance!"

This is how it ends every time people. We will know just how good a characters chances are/were when we get results. There's literally no sense on ****ting on someone's idea or character every time they're brought up.

Spyro has 10 games on Nintendo hardware... that's not a small number. In addition, he debuted in 1998 and his first game on a Nintendo system was in 2001. He was a Sony exclusive character for a fairly short while.

I'm not a huge Spyro supporter or anything, but he makes plenty of sense. Hell, Bowser and Donkey Kong are in the same game as him now!

So? Shantae is the mascot of Way Forward. That doesn't mean **** for her chances either. Jack doesn't fit the strict criteria of being a 3rd Party character in Smash Bros. His chances don't even exist for that reason.

Second, Skylanders isn't Spyro but it used his name.
Skylanders is a Spyro spin off. Just like the Rabbids are for Rayman. A spin off that has sold ~20m units and counting. In addition to the 20m that Spyro already sold.

I mean christ, Spyro is still playable in every single Skylanders game.

Thirdly, you said 'lol u mispelt Speeru' when it was a list of characters likelier than Geno, by doing that instead of saying 'u forgaaat speeru' you're implying Geno has higher chances than Jack Frost
Geno's chances are exactly the same as Jack's. Non existent. One can't be higher than the other.

I also don't quite remember writing like an illiterate baby, so I'd suggest you get your eyes checked.

Said comparison doesn't work when we're getting quite a lot of Atlus games. How doesn't Jack Frost fit the criteria?

Except Spyro fans resent Skylanders

Atlus has shown they wouldn't mind using Jack more than once. Because he's the ****ING MASCOT

Skylander's success has nothing to do with Spyro. He wasn't even intended to be in the game. At the last moment they decided to paint one of the pre-existing dragon characters purple and call him Spyro because it's not like they were gonna use the license anyway. And that's why Skylanders Spyro doesn't even look like Spyro.

Also, dollars to doughnuts, Jack Frost shows up in the first Fire Emblem game on Wii U.

Jack Frost isn't usually a playable character, though. It's like Sqaure Enix getting a Moogle.

....I'm actually okay, with both, though.

In any case, Jack Frost isn't all that requested. Persona/Shin Megami Tensei are still super niche in the states, and it seems like Arle Nadja is a much more requested Sega rep (which an Atlus character would be) in Japan at the moment according to @PushDustIn's latest research.

I'm aware Jack isn't requested alot. I was pointing out that saying the mascot of a company owned by SEGA is just as likely as a character owned a company that hates it when people use their IP is ludicrous

I mean, guys, Nintendo has an existing relationship with Atlus now. Regardless of how 'niche' SMT may be, Nintendo obviously regards it highly enough to mash it up with Fire Emblem. And Sakurai loves him some Fire Emblem.

Though we can't ignore the DK and Bowser Skylanders, either.

You can pretty much apply the Bayonetta argument to him. Megami Tensei lacks a significant legacy or impact on the gaming world. It's not significantly well known. Jack Frost isn't an icon.

Look at it this way. Spyro is crossing over with Donkey Kong and Bowser. Two of Nintendo's biggest icons. Whose combined game sales exceed 550m.
SMT is crossing over with Fire Emblem. Which is pound for pound one of the least successful Nintendo IPs of all time. Whose game sales don't exceed 5m (by any source I've seen).

Except Spyro fans resent Skylanders
So? That doesn't stop Skylanders from being a juggernaut, and Spyro from being a part of it.

Atlus has shown they wouldn't mind using Jack more than once. Because he's the ****ING MASCOT
So what? Way Forward wouldn't mind using Shantae because she's their mascot.
Ok.

Ok.
I'm not saying Jack could be a candidate for DLC, but if he was, he'd be bigger than Geno. How the **** are you making this such a big deal?

'Fur Imblm lest sucesfl Ninty franchise' Citation needed, especially as it's doing pretty ****ing well since Awakening and isn't making more money with toys

You're giving me a headache, that's like saying Ubisoft did a good job with their DRM ******** because it did what they wanted

Wayforward. Indie-ish. Atlus. OWNED BY SEGA

I'm not making it a big deal. I made a joke post and you're the one who quoted me and are blowing it out of proportion. I'm merely replying to your posts.

I've yet to find any sales figures that put FE's combined 13 game sales above 5m. And even if it has gone beyond that point it's unlikely to be by much. Still making it pound for pound one of the least successful Nintendo franchises. You do know that it was a whisker away from being completely nixed due to poor sales, right?

Lol, the owned by SEGA part makes the suggestion of him even more ludicrous. At least if Way Forward got a character, it would be Shantae (they won't). If SEGA got another, then Jack wouldn't even be a passing thought.

By the way you should get that typing impediment seen to, it's a doozy.

Here's something I want to share with you guys.
As most of you probably know Sonic Generations is a game that has had a bunch of Mods ranging from Model Swapping to Brand New Levels like Metal Harbour, Emerald Coast, Mystic Cave, Frog Forest and Starlight Carnival to name a few.
There have also been other mods such as porting the stages of Colours. The Entire Unleashed Project and even Sonic 06 Levels. But very few actually go as far as too Mod Character Gameplay. Which is what I am here to show you.
Behold an actual Flying Tails Mod. (Still Work in Progress)
If Sega took this concept. And worked around with it on Tails and Knuckles.
Returning tails' flight whilst having his slide move being the tail spin from Adventure.
And giving knuckles the ability to glide and climb up walls and changing the stomp to something like his spiral Dive in Adventure 2 and switching out the slide for a Running Punch similar to something like this which happened in the Opening to Unleashed.
And they might have an extremely good way to being back the old style. Keeping Tails and Knuckles similar to Sonic but giving them their own attributes.:seuss:
Sorry for the long Post

Nice to see Tails is finally getting a GOOD mod for Generations! The last one was just a Sonic reskin so it didn't feel satisfactory.

Meanwhile Sega hates money because the only DLC they made for a successful game was pinball. Lost World get more and better DLC than this, and those were free iirc

Pretty impressed with that Tails mod. I love the Generations modding community. I would love to see the return of multiple playable characters, even though I usually just play as Sonic.

Ok so you want an answer
because he can represent the Mario RPGs seires and the relationship and the link between Nintendo and Square and from the game that started their relationship, and also he is most requested Square character since brawl and have big fanbase to this day so he is a kind of character that could create huge hype and SMRPG deserve more attention because this seires is forgotten and should come back to life again in some forms or at least cameos also SMRPG was important in Nintendo history, and SMRPG has already released worldwide unlike MOTHER 3, also Geno moveset could easily make him one of the most compettive character in smash history and brings a lot of new things to the table, Geno is the only 3rd party character that is a part of Nintendo since he is a Mario character and was created there and never leaved Nintendo console and he made a huge adventure with Mario unlike pac-man and sonic who just played sports/kart with Mario, Geno represent something special in Nintendo history rather than Square history and this game is about "Nintendo celebrities" and he fits this perfectly.
If you want to see the huge amount of fanbase that SMRPG has then just go to tumblr, deivenart, YouTube then search or just use google images you can even search Geno japaness name.

Are we arguing over Jack Frost and Spyro?
Both have the same non-existing chances
Spyro has no relation to Nintendo, if you want to argue 'muh SonyXNintendo rivalry', then Crash is a much better pick
As for Jack Frost, I don't even know who the guy is, but if we need an Atlus character, the obvious choice is
shut up and let me dream
