Isn't Lapras's shtick staying afloat? wouldn't tentacool/magikarp make more sense?

The sonic boom tv show is the best thing ever. The writers don;t know what a 4th wall is and I love it.
The boy band episode by itself is amazing.

It's pretty much fact that he's not as popular as he was. He was one of the top requests for Brawl, but even in JP where he still does have some popularity, he's faded into the teens.

Lapras because it was the Surf sprite for Gen 2
It's already 8-bits too

Awesome to see Pichu top. I didn't think Wolf and Krystal would both top, though. Only one is super popular in the East. But things change over time, don't they? Well, not that odd regardless. They're the two most popular since Wolf is a vet and Krystal has the highest potential for a non-clone-like moveset(semi or otherwise).

So after reading through the Nintendo Reddit, I though of an interesting debate. Do you guys prefer cartridges or discs? I'm personally more neutral on this whole thing, but I would like to hear your guys thoughts!

So what happend to the old Geno fans that were in brawl days and what was the reasons of getting less supporters now? They're not really lost as much as they have just simply moved on. For those of who had SMRPG as a big part of their childhoods, were edging close to 30 (unless if they got it on the VC) now and a lot of people just really don't have the time to be involved in this sort of thing anymore. They probably still like Geno and wants him in smash but they're more likely too invested in day to day responsibilities to care that much about it anymore. But that doesn't mean he is not recognizable anymore, he is just being less talked about just like Crash bandicoot. Each year passes Geno become more recognizable (because people does discover new things on the internet) but less talked about.
I am sure Geno is less requested than he was in brawl but he can still hold up.

That is literally the same with EVERY CHARACTER IN EXISTENCE, and most characters gain notability faster than Geno, and become way more well-known.

Geno has appeared in one game. He is third party, and Nintendo has no reason to try to gain the rights from Square Enix due to his small fanbase. DLC is all about fanservice, and while Geno would be cool, he doesn't appeal to the fans like Mewtwo with his wide demand or Ryu with his notoriety and unique moveset.

Give me something cool and unique that Geno could bring to Smash, or proof of his "large fanbase", and maybe I'll believe your argument a sliver more.

Nah, I didn't.

I dunno why you think a nearly exclusively Playstation character who almost everyone hates the current incarnation of is more likely then a character owned by one of Sega's closest friends and who has appeared in over 30 games..

EDIT: My B, Spyro has appeared in numerous Nintendo games. Regardless, Atlus is closer to Nintendo and Jack has appeared in more Nintendo console games.
