Let's be real here, Slippy is more or less becoming much more relevant than Krystal if we think about it. A bigger role in Star Fox Zero, one of the most reoccurring members of Team Star Fox that isn't old (No Peppy) or playable in Smash, and he was special enough to get his own Mario Maker costume. Whether people like it or not, the toad will start swimming in the bigger pond of Smash when the time is right.

Let's be honest here how many of us actually want both Peppy and Slippy to be in Smash, so we can duke it out a prove which of our favourite pilots of the original team Starfox is the best? I know I do.

Also honest question guys, we all know if Krystal got in, she wouldn't be clone, but honestly I get the slightest feeling if Peppy and Slippy ever make it a Smash game, how exactly could they differentiate the two from Fox, cause it seems to me that both Falco and Wolf cover moveset inspirations, cover the main points that help them keep a similar playstyle to Fox, but add their own nuances to the playstyle to help make them from cloud. I know what your going to say: Peppy and Slippy don't have to b clones of Fox, but the thing is it seems that Sakurai likes to keep how the characters similar to how they play in their main games, and I really can't think of a niche Slippy and Peppy can feel, like how Falco and Wolf do.

So in other words anyone got any ideas on how to make Slippy and Peppy a moveset that is derived from Fox's moveset, like how Wolf and Falco's are?

On one hand, he would probably be the Pichu equivalent of Fox (small, weak, joke-y attacks, and poor aerial maneuvers to reference his lack of Arwing skills). And given that we are bound to get clones with every game, I wouldn't be surprised if this is how they handle him.

On the other hand, some ideas proposed the idea of him being more tech-savvy like using turrets and drones in his moveset. Though the main problem with the former is that your average Advance Wars character can do the exact same thing, even if we wouldn't get a rep from that franchise.

Maybe @GoldenYuiitusin can give us some insight on how he can work?

I always imagined Slippy being a heavy weapons guy. . .but instead of being Russin he is a bit of a klutz and taking from Assault's weaponry.

For instance the Mii gunner's F-smash is pretty much how i imagined Slippy's up smash but he was using the gatling gun and his F-smash being the sniper rifle

Tilts would involve either wrenches and other mechanical or smascing with a weapon and pronbably tripping. Specials would be other weapons like the grenade/rocket launcher etc.

Of course that would be a huge case of "no real weapons allowed". . .

I made a mockup of the Mario Maker costume select with every costume we know about so far.
Only one I couldn't find a picture of is summer-outfit Isabelle. Also, Reese and Mabel were just confirmed as costumes on IGN's stream but again I don't have a picture yet.

I had to guess on some of the placements, so I'll update that once we get more pictures confirming where everything fits. Something I didn't make up though is how many damn Animal Crossing characters there supposedly are. Even after the second Isabelle, Reese, and Mabel, there are at least 6 other ones. I would assume Tom Nook, K.K. Slider, Cyrus, and Dollie are in because of their amiibo, but who would be in after that? Blathers? Brewster?

Seriously, might as well rename the game to Super Animal Crossing Maker at this point...

Because you said that you would accept him in any form (even if he's a clone). This is in case you have any ideas for the toad to be that ultimate joke character. :p
Blaster that constantly jams and overloads, slipping (see wat I did dere?) while attempting his version of the Fox Illusion, his rocket shoes shoot him too far in an uncontrollable burst in his version of the Fire Fox, and a Reflector that doesn't want to work half the time.
Also has pitiful punches and kicks with little knockback and damage output. But has surprisingly decent FSmash for example, as he swings his wrench haphazardly, hoping to hit someone.

That sort of thing.
Slippy is meant to be bad on many accounts. But in the right hands, he can be a player's worst nightmare.

Ty based Dee :D

Also, I just saw the Smashified Isaac.
Honestly, he doesn't even look that good compared to the other ones he has done tbh :ohwell:

Slippy is my favorite Star Fox character.

He'd be an instant main who stuck on my roster, unlike Falco and Fox (Wolf in Brawl) who are just random fun.

Thing is, I still think this kind of moveset really goes against Slippy's character, cause remember, his forte is mechanics and weapon development, not combat. Also I now have a new headcanon reason for why Slippy joined Team Starfox, besides being Fox's best friend, he joined so he could field test of his creations, without having to go through all the paper work he would have to if he was in the Weapon tech section of the Conerian Army, in other words, Slippy is doing very questionable things by handing Fox, Falco and Peppy potentially untested dangerous field equipment.

Plus like I said, since there is no real differences to how all the pilots in Starfox play, I still feel like he'd have a moveset similar to Fox. Also I don't really like movesets that take away what would make Advance War characters unique, it would kind of make Advance Wars fans feel cheated I think.

I always imagined Slippy being a heavy weapons guy. . .but instead of being Russin he is a bit of a klutz and taking from Assault's weaponry.

Yeah, but I don't really think these kind of weapons really fit Slippy's characters.

So we've seen some ideas for Slippy, any for Peppy?

It seems weird that they made room for Mewtwo to go with the other Pokémon, but there's no space for Roy to join the other Emblem heroes.
Are Roy/Lucas/Ryu just not in Mario Maker, then?

There is space for Ryu.

Maybe they'll get them when their amiibos come out.

Oh God, this moveset works so well for me, it Just screams how Slippy could possibly play, because it reflects his complete lack of combat expertise so well, and it keeps with his main characterisation.

Me when people say AC shouldn't get another rep in Smash
Isabelle for Smash
This was a comment left on the Isaac Smashified.
"Tons of people want the Dee. Why haven't you given us the Dee?"
I won't lie I want a forth Kirby Rep despite having only a slight connection to Kirby through Epic Yarn.
Well, I can give you the "Dee" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Someone stop me before it's too late

Let me guess, the same guy who made that Rhythm Troupe Smashification created those Dee alts.

I searched through the IGN vod and got a screencap of Reese and Mabel. You're welcome.

Here's an updated layout with them added in.
Their numbering is really throwing me off. I figured Isabelle would be at the beginning of the Animal Crossing section, but apparently not. Just another reminder that my placing estimates can be completely off. The only things I would would safely assume are:

1. Lots of Mario costumes
2. Lots of Animal Crossing costumes
3. No Roy.
4. Probably a few more franchises represented that we haven't seen yet seeing how much space there still is near the bottom.

Edit: Also a reminder that :4duckhunt::4falco::4gaw::4rob::4bowserjr::4zss:, and possibly :4ryu::4lucas: are still costumes that we haven't seen yet. Alongside KK Slider, Tom Nook, Dollie, and Cyrus who also have amiibo, and the winter Isabelle. That means there are still at least 20 costumes that will be a complete surprise.

Super Mario Maker might get later DLC costumes added to the game, including those for later Amiibos. This would solve a lot of issues and not worry about the "current limit". It's not like there's really a limit that needs to exist. Characters eventually come up that are highluy popular. Plus, for every Smash DLC, they should make another one anyway.

Is it just me or does Villager's sprite looks like one of those Five Nights sprites from the minigames (ironically enough where all the actual story happens)

Poor Peppy, no one wants to discuss movesets for you, I guess it's not all systems go for Peppy in here then :c

Its probably because he brings the least to the table. Yeah he has a history but thats prety much it. At least slippy does machines.

Peppy gives advice and thats about it. Not much you can make a moveset out of.

Plus the thought of 6 star fox characters (fox, falco, slippy, krystal, wolf and then peppy) is a bit weird.
