So I beat Chapter 1 of The Last Story.

Super Mario Maker will allow you to play as every single amiibo character (i.e. the entire Smash 4 roster).
All with their own 8-bit sprites and even sound effects from their original games. Glorious.

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is having the Street Fighter 2 victory screen music playing when he finishes a level but other than that I dunno.

I was speaking broadly. I know the Pokémon characters don't have their own SFX.
Even the likes of Falcon and FE characters don't have a unique jumping SFX. Only transformation jingles/SFX.
Likely, he needs to contact the copyright holders to use a character.
Sakurai has stated such things before. He does consult with content creators for permission and overseeing moveset designs.

I wonder where all jingles that will appear originated from, kinda like Smash's victory themes. FE's for instance is the level up jingle from FE1 iirc

Didn't Sakurai say thats its very hard to work with GF
He must have friendly connections considering nintendo couldn't even get amiibos for yoshi and a pokemon game in nintendoland. Not even a pokemon item in AC

He said amiibo, but also mentioned a Pokemon minigame in Nintendo Land. Then again, Nintendo Land didn't really do that much iirc. F-Zero gets somewhat of a revival yet Kirby gets nothing?

I meant pokemon and Nintendo relations in general
Its nintendo second highest franchise so I would imagine that nintendo would have loved to put Pokemon related stuff in games like AC and nintendo land

I suppose it is kinda surprising how no one complained so far about how the Amiibo power up doesn't really do much besides making Mario look like said character but doesn't seem to give Mario at least one ability from said costume..... knowing most fanbases in regards to this sort of stuff.....I'm surprised no one complained how all the characters in Mario Maker are clones of Mario.
