Yeah, that's why Isabelle and K.K just don't do it for me. I'd have been way happier if the costume covered the Mii's face.Yeah, I just can't stand Mii costumes that are so costume like.

oh i was late... i was going to post this here...
The cruelty of it all.
Although Sakurai has some pretty funny faces
I see your point. The Mii Outfits that make the Mii look exactly like the character it's supposed to be are the best for me. That's why I'm not a fan of the K. Rool and AC ones, because you still see the Mii face.
On the other hand, it allows us to see the trollish Mii wearing the K. Rool suit in promotional material.Yeah, that's why Isabelle and K.K just don't do it for me. I'd have been way happier if the costume covered the Mii's face.
I put my grinning Sakurai Mii in the K. Rool costume. Seemed fitting.I see your point.
I actually scanned the QR codes on the official site for the Chrom and Lloyd outfits, so they actually look like the characters.
For the Black Knight, I made my own Mii. Made him very tall and with a little more weight, so the Mii is a heavyweight fighter as it befits the Black Knight himself.

Brawler Falcon (Outfit only, Helmet is already in the game).I'm even looking forward to seeing what costumes they might add in the next wave. Anyone have any predictions?
That and a Black Shadow Mii brawler costume would be hype.Brawler Falcon (Outfit only, Helmet is already in the game).
Same here actually. I actually purchased all Mii costumes as I do actually play as them from time to time.I just finished adding some Mii Fighters with the new costumes to my collection. I never really cared for the inclusion of Miis, and it didn't help that most of the costumes and masks offered in the base game weren't that great. Now with DLC they're doing such a great job with some of these costumes. It actually got me excited to add to my Mii Fighter collection, something that I didn't even think was possible. I'm even looking forward to seeing what costumes they might add in the next wave. Anyone have any predictions?
Can confirm. Was victim of turkey skinning. No more animal Mii costumes pls.
Stop skinning these poor animals for Mii's to wear..
Fur is murder.
Most of the stuff you probably wear or eat is from animals. Even ask the hippies and PeTA chumps. They can't escape itNo more animal Mii costumes pls.

I never stated it because I don't have an opinion on who the three likeliest newcomers are.i wanna know something what is your top 3 most likely newcomers.I dont recall you ever stating it
You must at least have a preference?I never stated it because I don't have an opinion on who the three likeliest newcomers are.
The pool of candidates is so large that I'm not certain enough to pick three and run with them. I prefer to stick to just determining who has a realistic chance and who doesn't.
And the downside is...I can't imagine that Sakurai or whoever replaces him would try to remove people to go back to basics, but at the same time, there is a point where balance is just going to be ****ing impossible.
He might throw caution to the wind and say that ''Balance is kind of secondary. It's a party game with items after all."
Which would effectively kill the competitive side of the community all together.
They might leave a few characters back to one game. Roy might not come back after Smash 4, Greninja and Robin(I hate to say it) are the popular ones on the chopping block. The clones sans maybe Dr. Mario might get the axe and any future DLC characters aren't gonna be definite for coming back.I can't imagine that Sakurai or whoever replaces him would try to remove people to go back to basics, but at the same time, there is a point where balance is just going to be ****ing impossible.

There was never a Metroid game in production, the idea was thrown around internally several times in the N64 era, but "they couldn't come out with any concrete ideas" (Sakamoto) so nothing ever came of it.I could make a case for Zelda and Ganondorf but I'll drop it. I thought OOT was finished and released around the development of Smash 64
But there was a planned Metroid game for the N64, some of its ideas I think went into Prime 1.
The move from Leak group to Nzone saw a pretty substantial reduction in the number of posts from many of the old regulars. Also, I personally don't see the point in arguing in circles when we have no real frame of reference or basis for said arguments. I really don't care for speculation until we get some more concrete information, and I'm sure others feel the same way.Is it just me or have we lost a ton of people?
When I scrolled down to this gif:And just another thing, I forgot how good the GBA can sound when fully used properly.
Ah Memories.

I mean Smash isn't built with competition in mind. They might leave a few characters back to one game. It's gonna get to that point where it reaches a 60+ roster and it's gonna get harder to balance and even to being a 70+ roster and that's something I really don't want for Smash
Let's be honest here Grenija and Robin will always have a higher chance of returning then Sonic, Megaman, Pac-man and Ryu, simply because they are owned by Nintendo, so who ever takes over from Sakurai may not wish to go through the hassle of getting their licences renewed for Smash 5. Also I doubt Robin will get cut since they are popular with a majority of the Fire Emblem fan base. They might leave a few characters back to one game. Cutting the left third parties at this point would instantly mean career suicide for the developer at hand.Let's be honest here Grenija and Robin will always have a higher chance of returning then Sonic, Megaman, Pac-man and Ryu, simply because they are owned by Nintendo, so who ever takes over from Sakurai may not wish to go through the hassle of getting their licences renewed for Smash 5. Me and @ Tree Gelbman were in cahoots the whole timeThere was never a Metroid game in production, the idea was thrown around internally several times in the N64 era, but "they couldn't come out with any concrete ideas" (Sakamoto) so nothing ever came of it.

I want to say I'm glad I was listening to this:
When I scrolled down to this gif:
Megaman and Sonic would cause MASSIVE outrage. Pacman.... less so, but still. Part of me also feels like If Nintendo is going to approach Capcom about Megaman then Ryu should also be in the bag, although he really does feel much more like a "guest" character than the other 3.Cutting the left third parties at this point would instantly mean career suicide for the developer at hand.
Ryu might get a Snake situation, where only certain individuals are upset, but the others are pretty damn iconic to the point, the cry would be like 10 times what it was for Snake's cut.
I feel like Ryu will stay as long as Sakurai is around. He's a massive Street Fighter fan. Though isn't Capcom and Capcom USA two different companies to negotiate with when it comes to Mega Man and Ryu?Megaman and Sonic would cause MASSIVE outrage. Pacman.... less so, but still. Yes, they're two different entities, but it's still the same company. It's not like relations are going to be great with America but terrible with Japan or vise versa.I feel like Ryu will stay as long as Sakurai is around. He's a massive Street Fighter fan. Good article. I have no real problem with semi-clone characters.New Source Gaming article by yours truly.

The subject: clones in Smash Bros.
Have fun, or something.
Agreed. Not sure if it's the right time to ask but....
So when do you guys think Nintendo will announce another Direct?
For some reason I feel they will probably announce one somewhere around mid to end August...
Yeah, they are but due to how connected both franchises are with the one company, it won't be too hard to deal with.I feel like Ryu will stay as long as Sakurai is around. Both & were respectfully #1 & #2 most requested characters for Brawl.Yes, they're two different entities, but it's still the same company. It's not like relations are going to be great with America but terrible with Japan or vise versa.
Also, come to think of it.... weren't Megaman and Sonic the most wanted third parties in both the official N64 to Melee and official Melee to Brawl polls? Don't have the data on hand. Can you help me out with the most wanted third party reps @PushDustIn?
Maybe, but in the time between Smash 4 and 5, things could happen to Sega, Namco and Capom. Capcom could be bought by Sony, Sega could go bankrupt and Nintendo and Namco's relationship could become sour. So that it is also why I see Pac-man, Megaman, Sonic and Ryu with lowest priority for returning in Smash 5, since its relatively unknown what could happen to them. Say unlike Shulk, Monolith Soft may split from Nintendo at some point, but they won't be taking Shulk with them, since Xenoblade Chronicles series is owned by Nintendo. Samething applies with Pokemon and Game Freak, Nintendo owns the franchise, Game Freak just develops it, so they won't be to use any of the Pokemon series characters again if they spilt from Nintendo.Cutting the left third parties at this point would instantly mean career suicide for the developer at hand.
Ryu might get a Snake situation, where only certain individuals are upset, but the others are pretty damn iconic to the point, the cry would be like 10 times what it was for Snake's cut.
And Megaman was #1 for Smash 4. I'm pretty sure they've lead every poll (remember, the ballot is the first time a world wide poll was done, but this sort of thing happens at the close of every Smash game in Japan) in third party requests since the beginning. I just wanted to confirm that.Yeah, they are but due to how connected both franchises are with the one company, it won't be too hard to deal with.
The only character that has a shot depending on his situation is Pacman because itll depend on if Namco us willing to help again and if thats the case then he sticks around.
Megaman and Sonic are safe IMO due to their companies and franchises connection with Nintendo.
Both & were respectfully #1 & #2 most requested characters for Brawl.
It's why people were so high on Megaman on getting in Smash and Sonic returning.
This is really painful to watch.
I'm not even going to let you know which Amiibo goes first.
