The 2013 remaster of Sonic 2 has Tails with the flying ability now! And Hidden Palace is finally a stage w/ a boss fight!

Mobile only, but it's still a fantastic remake. Had a shaky launch though, it was kinda buggy, but that is fixed now.

We should wait until we see the stage in action (if it is real) before claiming that the scoreboard never changes.

Pictures can only tell so much, after all.

Yeah, it just kinda weird me out how the score board never has changed in any of the 3 snapshots.

How does the scoring work in Dr. Mario again? Does it only score when you destroy the viruses? That could be why it didn't change I guess!

EDIT: oops, Kenith didn't point out the score thing. He meant something else entirely.

Yup, only when viruses die.

Just like how you only get points from making lines on Tetris.

Yes it does.
The first pic has the score at 2600 while the other gameplay image where nothing has happened (and the 3 screens that have the stage preview image) have the score at 0.

Not only that, but that image of stage in action? It has no fighters.
It also lines up exactly with the preview image in the stage select screen. If the viruses and pills ARE active stage hazards like the leak implies, why would they go out of their way to get a gameplay screen to match the preview exactly?
Even the score is the same. You could argue that it's just a close-up OF the stage preview, but it's too high quality for that.
I may be wrong, it could be just the announcement image, but it still seems suspicious.

I am really impressed with this leak if it's fake though. It's really nice.

By the way, looking back at the screens. There is one where the Score is 0 but it says Virus 03. Anything off there?

If I recall correctly, it add's when you destroy the viruses and/or the pills themselves.

Sounds like a pretty neat stage concept though. I suppose this is the closest thing we would get to a Tetris stage. But Dr.Mario style. I would like to see more of the stage if it's legit. (Which it looks like it may very well be....)

Virus 03 means that there are three left I'd presume.

As far as the music goes, I really like egypt-ish level themes. As far as the level goes, Act 1 was alright, but I found Act 2 to be much more interesting and fun act. Only issue I have with Act 2 is that it takes a little bit too long and there's that darn looping part that made me waste a lot of time on.

Guys, everyone knows the real reason K. Rool got a brawler costume was while researching for a moveset Sakurai came across the DK64 boxing ring fight. He then came up with all these ideas regarding boxing for the King but then said the Mii Fighter had most of them. Then he got an idea- make a costume while still keep researching for the full character.

Maybe that's why K. Rool can't be a character.... he doesn't exist. It's just DK fantasizing, running around with the crown and cape, knocking stuff over, and nobody wants to call him out and risk him having an episode, so they call him K. Rool. Then when he sobers up, he comes through and cleans it up, and everyone pretends he's a hero.

This was just apparently from a YouTube comment. I have yet to find the original source. It does seem clear and cut that this whole leak is fake though.

Was a really good fake, too. But yeah, the last big thing was to surf through Brawl hacks. Nobody here did cuz King K. Rip.

Question- @PushDustIn , as a new mod, do you have the authority to change the title of this thread? Because @ Swamp Sensei Swamp Sensei doesn't change the title nearly as much as @ BluePikmin11 BluePikmin11 did and i need more goofy titles in my life.

To be honest I never cared for Sonic 3's levels. Maybe Carnival Night, but apart from that I don't remember anything from it.

Also, the "Swamp just finished [...]" just doesn't do it for me. I need goofy!

The Dr. Mario stage may be real. I am almost convinced 100% at this point and I normally am always on the "this is fake" side for leaks. The stage itself looks authentic enough (heck, it doesn't look like an amateurish stage. it looks professional enough!). I don't think we've ever seen these virus models anywhere before?

Everything about the snapshot of the stage is consistent and has a lot of nice attention to detail put into it. (The virus bottle in the BG matches up with the viruses in the actual stage) It even follows the rules of the game very faithfully.

There was also the fact the datamining had strong hints towards a Dr. Mario stage a long time ago.

Let's see what happens in a few days!

I thought I found an inconsistency but it turns out I just made it even more consistent. Go figure lol.
I guess at this point we should be wondering if we'll also get a Rhythm Heaven character/stage.
