Sonic 2's OST is such a major improvement honestly, Sonic 1's best tracks were Starlight, Marble, Scrap Brain and Final Zones imo

Sonic 1 to 3 & Knuckles + CD (both US and JP) has such amazing OSTs
I would rank which song out of all is the best, but the lot of them has a competition with each other.

My friend made a good point that I'm sure y'all know; The Mii Fighter costume is based off of his DKC1 appearance. What if K. Rool has his DKC1 self as a skin and his default is his most recent one from Sluggers?

If other third parties where to get Mii outfits too, I wouldn't mind a Mii Sword Fighter outfit for Professor Layton. It's probably the best he can get at this point and his head is simplistic enough to accurately replicate on a Mii too....
Sure there already exists a top-hat but anything to make him look a little more authentic would be great.....

I just remembered something that presents a pretty big issue with the Wolf Mii Fighter DLC "leak".
I think for veterans, it's either fully playable or not in at all, and it'll only be rejected newcomers and fighters already present who get costumes.
If Dr. Mario as a Mario alternate costume was deemed unacceptable due to his role in Melee, I don't think Sakurai would give Wolf the Mii Fighter treatment.

Aquatic Ruin is great but goddamn Mystic Cave, Metropolis and 2-Player Casino Nigh. That made the Sonic 2 soundtrack for me

Not hard to see why, very calming. It helps Starlight was easily the most fun zone
Probably the best Zone theme in the game. Hill and Oil Ocean are boring as hell

K rool costume is revealed pointing towards a deconfirmation, however is known characters can coexist with costumes. Yet no character yet has been upgraded from a costume to a full fledged character, but a character was revelaed first as a costume and then normaly the next day,if I remember correctly. Nintendo said it is revealing more stuff toda and right now is like 4 or 3 am at japan so whatever left to be said it is going to be said in a handful of hours
He could have very well won the ballot and the fighter is still not ready to release or he won´t see the light as a fighter, neither of these reasons affect his actual chances now because they can only be proven when sakurai says so.
So evidence is not favoring particulary his deconfirmation or not, the number of mii costumes based on some character doesn´t affect much since many of those characters were not very popular choices as fighters or at least as popular as the crocodile.

I can't remember the last time I went through Scrap Brain 3 without the shortcut that skips about half the stage. Wing Fortress and Metropolis are great

I'm probably in the minority here, but this is probably one of my favorite Sonic tunes that is from Sonic 4 Episode 1.
The DLC comes out on Friday, so either tonight or sometime tomorrow.

Exactly my thought. Makes no sense for Wolf to become a Mii costume.
The leak also feels kind of generic, but in a form of Mii fighters.
In 12 hours if they announce it the same time.

Sonic Before/After The Sequel has amazing OST.
One of the people behind the OST composed a bunch of tracks for a Sonic fangame I'm involved in.
The OST was okay, aside from the really poor instrumentation at many parts. But it also really doesn't feel like Jun put out that great of an effort. Some of the songs like Lost Labyrinth felt like they last too short by having a really underwhelming outro to the theme. There are some songs I legit liked though, like Mad Gear (but not the Wii version, it sounds so bad there).
Splash Hill is a great theme itself, but the instrument really hurted it. The synths sounds awkward.

Referring to the final boss theme of Episode 1? Yeah, it was a seriously short song, and a really irritating one at that. The fact they made a final boss theme last literally 8 seconds before looping is mind blowingly stupid. Sonic 4 feels like a half-hearted game.

I love boss themes, Sonic 1's regular boss theme slips my mind all the time. Sonic 2 is a great replacement in boss themes

Sonic 4's soundtrack wasn't even bad, the instruments used for them, hurt the game hard.
Listen to the Splash Hill Melody from Mario & Sonic at the 2012 Olympic Games. There's a major difference.
Try Sonic & Knuckles Death Egg Zone.
