Some of those don't have the consistent important main appearances to their own franchises like Isabelle or Rosalina. Which is why I didn't add some of those.even so, tingle and vaati aren't one-shots
nor's dark samus or waluigi
Tingle has his own franchiseSome of those don't have the consistent important main appearances to their own franchises like Isabelle or Rosalina. Which is why I didn't add some of those.
Does it matter if they only were in one main title in a series? Their impact on gaming as a whole transcends that arbitrary limitation.I avoided some Nintendo one-shot characters from already established franchises in the roster when I was making it.
Yet you include Corrin instead of based AnnaI avoided some Nintendo one-shot characters from already established franchises in the roster when I was making it.
urgh.....i said this a lot, but it;s more complicated than it sounds.
Funny, but I hope the K. Tool fanbase is smart enough to know that making fun of other characters that have dedicated fans is probably not the best way to strum up support.
His own spin-offs don't do as well as a spinoff like DKC, Dr. Mario, Yoshi's Island etc.Tingle has his own franchise
What impact would that be? Fan base growth on a certain one shot isn't something impactful IMO. I get their appeal, but outside of that there isn't much.Does it matter if they only were in one main title in a series? Their impact on gaming as a whole transcends that arbitrary limitation.
I'd argue DKC isn't a spinoff as it has the most games. Besides, we all need a little Tingle in our livesHis own spin-offs don't do as well as a spinoff like DKC, Dr. Mario, Yoshi's Island etc.
Tingle's role in the main Zelda games are pretty minor in general as all he really does is sell items, I'd argue Impa has much of a bigger role in the main games than Tingle.

Sad but true
ayyyyyy you're back! Sorry for our misunderstanding that made you leave
You say that but Japan likes American Football.First: Fail for no Pokemon Trainer. And lack of Absol I am disappoint, my biased does not like it
Second: Shadow makes this to edgy
And ho the hell is that next to Mr Game and Watch
Plus 10 for Savvy Styist
But I'm going to have to Minus 10 because you didn't use Nintendo's Goku so you troll the trolls
Mario already has 2 football games though
All joking aside, you will probably never see a american football game because it is something only the USA plays and here it is popular enough to sell, and Nintendo being a Japanese company probably doesn't care for the sport just like the rest of the world
Ladies love the B-Dee
BDee has a large stick to impress the ladies, What about you?
As a lady I can confirmYou say that but Japan likes American Football.
Not enough to buy games over but it's pretty popular there

impa is a vague archetype, and not even one that can get a consistent appearanceTingle's role in the main Zelda games are pretty minor in general as all he really does is sell items, I'd argue Impa has much of a bigger role in the main games than Tingle.
Impa's appearances are still minor, don't get me wrong. I get the fact he has spinoffs, but those games aren't very successful spinoffs like the Mario spinoffs I mentioned. If a spinoff character got in Smash, they would have to be a pretty big deal.impa is a vague archetype, and not even one that can get a consistent appearance
literally every time she's shown up she's looked different
tingle had three games of his own and a dolled-up version of balloon fight
perhaps you don't have him as you'd prefer a watered-down version of the same thing
I remember when this was originally posted in the K. Rool thread, there were a good amount of K. Rool supporters who were actually offended by the image, and didn't want to invoke potential confrontations with other fan-bases because of it.Funny, but I hope the K. Tool fanbase is smart enough to know that making fun of other characters that have dedicated fans is probably not the best way to strum up support.
That's because most Muricans didn't want the sexy hunk known as Tingle and wanted that sissy boy Link who wears skirtsTingle's spinoff games didn't even come to America sadly :/
I thought one of them did actually.Tingle's spinoff games didn't even come to America sadly :/
The first one came out in Europe but that's it.I thought one of them did actually.
Thank you.Funny, but I hope the K. Tool fanbase is smart enough to know that making fun of other characters that have dedicated fans is probably not the best way to strum up support.
Lucas. That is allThe fact that half the Tingle games are Japan only shows you that the spinoff is pretty insignificant.
Zelda has been taken care of relatively well. Sakurai clearly sees driving force behind the series as the Triforce. At this point I'd be surprised if we ever saw anyone who didn't hold a piece of it playable in Smash.I don't think we will have a Zelda character as DLC, none of them are popular enough.
Impa, the most popular, is as requested as Sceptile.
Lucas is from a mainline entry that has sold extremely well. His game is a significant addition to the Mother series, JP only or not.Lucas. That is all
good. The Dee does not appreciate blasphemy and would slap you for it.Just so everyone knows I was just trolling about the dee.
cia confirmedZelda has been taken care of relatively well. Sakurai clearly sees driving force behind the series as the Triforce. At this point I'd be surprised if we ever saw anyone who didn't hold a piece of it playable in Smash.
We already do, Toon Link, he did lose his piece at the end of Wind Waker and allZelda has been taken care of relatively well. Sakurai clearly sees driving force behind the series as the Triforce. At this point I'd be surprised if we ever saw anyone who didn't hold a piece of it playable in Smash.
Point is, we had Japan exclusive characters beforeLucas is from a mainline entry that has sold extremely well. His game is a significant addition to the Mother series, JP only or not.
Better than Ana-I mean Lana. bewbscia confirmed
Define "extremely well."Lucas is from a mainline entry that has sold extremely well. His game is a significant addition to the Mother series, JP only or not.
Enough to get it a US release obviously.Define "extremely well."
My memory is a bit messy when it comes to the Mother series' sales, but Mother 3 at least sold great. It sold about more than 350k copies in its first year according to Famitsu. So... Extremely well was not the right choice, but whatever, not my point.Define "extremely well."
What Blue was getting at is that Tingle's spinoff games are insignificant enough that despite coming from a worldwide popular franchise, does not get localized much. The keyword here is relative to its own franchise. Mother 3 is a different story because it was actually a MAJOR release of the Mother franchise. Tingle's games are too minor to the Zelda series to matter much.Point is, we had Japan exclusive characters before
Not to be nitpicky, but he still has the Master Sword...and his Final SmashWe already do, Toon Link, he did lose his piece at the end of Wind Waker and all
Extremely well compared to Tingle's games?Define "extremely well."
Paper Mario though.I think Zelda's the only franchise who can get away with different versions of the same character while making it work.
