When I first moved here, the yen was 76 yen per dollar. Now it's 124 yen per dollar. I have student loans in American currency. Therefore, my student loans went from being ~37% of my paycheck to ~55% of it. Of course I have other expenses (such as utilities, food) on top of that. The weak yen is the main reason I've decided to go back to the States in November. It took me months to scramble money together for SG just to get hosting. @fuzzy pickles helped quite a bit, and my ex-girlfriend (it's complicated?) paid for the other portion essentially.
What is the appeal in Geno.
I can think of 100's of more unique and iconic characters.
I won't hate on anyone's choices.
But he's more forgotten than K Rool. K rool at the very least has trophies in Smash. Smething Geno has never got.
Honestly. What is so good about Geno.
I don't know if anyone has come across this video, but it helped me with doing perfect pivots, and if you use a character that benefits from them and you have trouble doing them consistently might want to check it out. It does deal with changing controls a little bit, and might not be worth it if you use a GCN controller, I use my game pad and pro and my changes don't affect my play at all
Is he though?
I mean reckless safety man appeared in arguably more popular games. Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort and Wii Sports Club. If I recall correctly.
And he could IMO bring a hilarious and new move-set to Smash. He's like Wii Fit Trainer only even more weird and wacky.
II would love to see this comic relief character get in over Geno who would probably in the Mario Series.
But hey. opinions and such.
@PushDustIn
do you by chance have any idea when Lucina may have been upgraded from an alt? I realized last night that there was a possibility that all 3 Awakening characters were planned as full characters at one point. According to your theory Chrom would at least still have been planned during/before August.
and if that is too late was she at least an alt at that point? I would love to have been able to play as the trio.

I suppose it's for the same reason anyone would want their personal favorite character in the game, for selfish reasons. It's really no big mystery why anyone would want one of the characters, from one of their favorite games, in Smash Bros.
What I find more of a mystery is why these people romanticize the "chances" of any specific character getting added to the roster (presently or future installments). Then they proceed throw a hissy fit after Burb, or someone else, does little more besides point out the obvious.
The way I see it, given how little we know of the selection process (which basically amounts to nothing), any character has basically has an equal chance to be added to the roster (i.e. slim to none). There are far too many factors that we do not know about to warrant wasting any energy getting upset over it.
The reason I compared him specifically to WFT is on the boundaries of:
She/ He still looks wacky and goofy to me. She runs around doing Fitness moves and Yoga positions.
Her taunts have her saying pretty humorous things in a fighting game "Stretch those Shoulders" "Let's stretch our Legs"
Not to mention that Crawl of hers that is just plain goofy to look at.
If the safety man was a thing he would be just as goofy and weird to play as to me as WFT is.
Despite the fact I actually know of all the good reasons that she worked as a character and a new series to smash.
That is one of the best.
Now we have all the Man Mascots smashified.
Pac Man, Megman, Rayman and Now Bomber Man.
And that music is just a bonus.
EDIT: They incorporated Brawl's theme into it
I don't think we have this info. I would love to know when exactly @Shun_one's friend was a play tester. The game was basically done at that point, as he play tested Dark Pit.

Sakurai said the clones originate from Mario, Marth and Pit's balancing process, in which their alts got a few differences, which resulted in their separation.
In this article, Sakurai stated that even palette swaps/alt costumes need their own testing, so I think they may have accidentally made Dr. Mario, Lucina and Dark Pit somehow different while they were still costumes and decided to run with idea of making them a little more different, turning them into clones.
Dr. Mario had Melee inspiration, Lucina had the tippers removed for newcomer friendliness and Dark Pit was given a different Final Smash and had two of the special moves slightly altered.
