Favorite Newcomer: Duck Hunt or Mega Man

I think Duck Hunt might get the edge though. Probably the most impressive addition for several reasons. Meanwhile Mega Man gave me the most hype.

Least Favorite? Mii Fighters. They aren't that fun to play as, I feel their moveset is kind of lacking and they are just way too limiting for a character that is made as a personal customizable fighter.

I love Pac-Man the most, no contest, even though I'm not quite as good with him as I'd like.

I'm disappointed in Doctor Mario's relative uselessness as a former Melee "main", but my least favorites are probably Duck Hunt / Bowser Jr. (just for being annoying to play against) and Greninja (both for being one of the more predictable choices and not particularly well-suited to my playstyle). I don't have a problem with the former two being in at all, though.

Favorite: Pac-Man. I'm admittedly not the greatest with him but I love using him. Plus, he's freaking Pac-Man. Ryu and Duck Hunt aren't too far behind though.

Least Favorite: Rosalina. I don't hate her as a character but she's annoying to fight and I hate her and Luma can go jump off a cliff, stupid meat shield absorbing all of my attacks ugh

But seriously, probably Villager since I don't find him fun to use. Like, at all.

Most Favorite: Why? Because it's Pac-Man!
Least Favorite:I know he didn't affect development at all, but I still feel he's better suit for an alt.

Favourite newcomer: Wanted this lil' dude from the beginning, and when I saw Rosaluma I didn't expect him at all. His Clown Car makes him even better than I imagined.

Least favourite: Don't get me wrong, I love Palutena as a character, but the Smash iteration sucks IMO. She's emotionless, her moves hardly fit her and she's just meh I think.

A shame the latter probably doesn't have that much longer in competitive play, however.

I think the newcomers are all very well made. They distinguish themselves and blend in well. The exception to this is the Mii Fighters, for me. They don't feel like they're part of the main cast since they only appear on the CSS if you make one, and they are the very last spot. Default ones with default move sets would have made it a lot better.

Least favourite: Don't get me wrong, I love Palutena as a character, but the Smash iteration sucks IMO. She's emotionless, her moves hardly fit her and she's just meh I think.

While I think her moveset is possibly one of the hardest to play in the game, I think it fits her well. She is somewhat emotionless, I'll agree to that (though I absolutely love her "ready when you are" taunt). What do you think in her moveset is out of character? What do you think would've fit better?

Oh yeah, I HATE playing as default Palutena. She's fun with customs, but since you can't play them in most situations...

Shame too, since she was one of my most wanted characters.

Favorite Newcomer: (Shulk)

As soon as I watched his reveal trailer, I KNEW I was going to main him. My fondness of Xenoblade Chronicles certainly doesn't hurt either.

Honorable Mention: (Mega Man)

Sakurai made a rather impressive effort with the Blue Bomber's moveset, which consists of various weapons and abilities from throughout the classic Mega Man series (specifically Mega Man 1-9 and the arcade game called Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters) and the most hype Final Smash.

Least Favorite Newcomer: / (Wii Fit Trainer)

She/he never clicked with me very well.

Dishonorable Mention: / (Mii Swordfighter)

He/she is my least favorite swordfighter in the game, but he/she isn't terrible to play as. At least the DLC costumes for him/her are pretty neat.

They don't play similarly at all though, i don't where you came to the conclusion that Greninja is a worse Lucario because of specials. It's just like comparion Lucario and MewTwo because of neutral B

From the moment I saw his trailer, I knew I was going to main him. Now he's tied with Ness as my most used.
The only character I actively supported that got into the game, he's an absolute blast to play as.
I didn't know I wanted them, I don't even like the game so it's only the playstyle and retro charm that appeals to me.
Loved Uprising, and Palutena has a fun moveset (more so with customs). I still prefer Viridi though.
Not Chrom, instantly awesome. She's a bit clunky, but I enjoy the character/moveset.
Cute, fun to play as. Not much attachment after I dropped New Leaf a long time ago.
I didn't really like how Nintendo was shoving her in everything but she's pretty ok in Smash.
I do not like Bowser Jr. I really like the Clown Car, the Koopalings are just a bonus. Fun enough.
I'm the only person who didn't freak out over his inclusion, mostly indifferent. His moveset is totally rocking though.
I don't play traditional fighting games but somehow pulling off his inputs is so satisfying.
I don't care about Punch-Out at all, but for some reason I like Mac even though he's the opposite of my preferred style.
The most bland and boring non-clone addition, imo.
I'd like to play as him but without customs, Pit's arrows are just way better.
I had little reason to play as a flat-chested Marth before, and even less now that my boy Roy is back.
She's ok but I just can't play as her at all.
I keep forgetting about these things. I usually just use a Gunner AVGN if anything.[/collapse]

Greninja's Up B has more of a similar function to Pikachu's actually. Lucario can't immediately change his direction the same way those 2 can.
Lucario and Greninja's Neutral B aren't similar either. Greninja can't hold it indefinitely if fully charged like Lucario can, when fully charged Greninja releases it immediately and it's a multi hit move unlike Aura Sphere which is just one strong hit.

Favourite Newcomers: - Mega Man and Greninja are my 2 mains for a reason. I've always love playing the Mega Man games and his moveset his great in Smash 4; his design his perfect too. Greninja is one of my favourite Gen 6 Pokemon and I've used him a lot in my VGC teams so to have him in Smash 4 is fantastic for me.

Last Favourite Newcomers: - Dark Pit is probably my least favourite newcomer. Kind of a waste of a character slot really although I still use him more often than Pit.

Why do people still come with the nonsense that clones are "waste of slots" when there's evidence of the contrary? Ah well, some people still believe the Earth is flat, after all.

Anyway, there isn't any character in Smash I dislike. I can't really harbor negative feelings for fictional characters, unless said character happens to be particularly repulsive, which isn't the case for anyone in Smash thus far.

Regardless, I tend to play as all characters, especially when playing single-player modes and beating records. I've managed to clear 10-Man Smash under 12 seconds as all characters, for example.
