Rekka no Ken(7) seems the most interesting to me, I wish I could have gotten it from the ambassador's program, but I'm definitively getting it if/when I get a pre-paid card.

I am literally only talking about main series games and how important the characters are to the plot of those games they appear in, and in both cases the biggest roles are usually rather small and only have very minor importance to the plot at all.

Considering it was the Americans' distaste for Tingle that prevented his games from being released there (much to my dismay) and why Tingle wasn't in Twilight Princess (and instead we got an expy in Purlo), they actually do care.

.....something doesn't add up to the point that there may be a legitimate contradiction in what Sakurai said for once.
In today's article, you mentioned that Sakurai had said Robin had just been decided on August 20th of 2012.
In yesterday's article, translation in Sakurai's book in regards to the project proposal included the following:
"All fighters on the roster are decided from the beginning, along with themes to help bring out their unique attributes."
"Before deciding on the roster, I do some preliminary research on demand and popularity, but I don't make any changes once the project is in motion."
Since the "beginning" dates back to at least April 26th of 2012, that would mean Robin would have to have been proposed back then instead of Chrom, but Robin was said to be decided months later. Which would be a change while the project is in motion.
Is there something I've overlooked that would clear this up for me?

They're digging themselves in a hole, even without the community manager's controversy. Inafune's working on Recore, a Microsoft IP. They made 3 kickstarters for MN9, 1 of which being for DLC, the other extra one for a tv show, and none of these are released. There's a reason people think of Shantae, Yooka Laylee and Bloodstained when you ask about unreleased kickstarter games. Hell, Shantae Halfgenie Hero's beta is pretty impressive from what I hear
We KNOW these guys are professionals, and Yooka Laylee's footage actually looks quite nice.

mighty no 9 is two months out now. the only work that could be left on it is debugging, translation, and the like. what this means is that, without such a thing as red ash existing, you'd have a ton of development people sitting around doing nothing.

Like I said when has Nintendo ever cared about American's opinions on their characters. Anouma is the one who choose to omit Tingle from Twilight Princess. Also probably the PR dept of Nintendo of decided to not release Tingle's game in the U.S.A, who are part of Nintendo, not Nintendo
