Even if you say that's because Impa's appearence changes everytime, it's still not fair to compare to Anna who has a consistent look, she's also not just a recurring character, but THE most recurring character, something that's barely done in FE
Doesn't matter. Anna's never had a major role. She's always a minor character.
Appearing often doesn't matter if you're unimportant in most of your roles. That's how she's like Impa. They both have a constant presence in their respective series, but neither of them are all that important. They're a playable side character at best, insignificant townsfolk NPC at worst.
There's dozens of Fire Emblem characters who should take priority over her. Namely, every single lord who's not already in, and every single lord who will appear in the future.
Actually Burb intereesting bit of trivia for you, Anna is more Fire Emblem's Equivalent of Tingle. Impa in all the Zelda games she appears in has a highly important story role e.g.:
Legend of Zelda: She's the one who sends Link on his quest
Adventure of Link: She gives Link the backstory for the game and sends him on his quest again
Ocarina of Time: She hides Zelda away before Ganondorf takes over, is the Sage of Shadow
Oracle of Seasons: She's send to protect Din, and helps set the story in motion
Oracle of Ages: She sets the story in motion in this game
Skyward Sword: She leads Zelda to all the springs and helps guide Link
A Link Between Worlds: She's a sage again
While Anna in most FE games is rather inconsequential NPC that appears in certain towns and houses with no bearing on the plot what so ever, or she is just running a shop.
Pretty much how Tingle runs a map shop or trades you kinstones. And the triforce chart stuff is debatable to WW story since he only deceivers them or you and nothing else really in the plot.
I'd say it's far bigger than being playable in a game that has a billion playable characters. It's a breakout role and a very big deal. Even one as insignificant as Tingle's were.
I could just as easily say at least Tingle had a starring role. Anna is minor in every single game she appears in, including the one she's playable in.
I looked more into the NX rumor, and found out that the guy who posted it doesn't know what the NX actually is, that and some other guy is saying it has other specs,
"I've heard from some tech guys who have talked to Nintendo and this is what they told me: NX is a 1080p Console, It's Specs are Somewhere Between Xbox One & PS4, and It Will Have Some Sort of Connectivity with Handhelds."

no, but he;s the most likely imo, and the best compromise currently as far as newcomers are concerned.
The main points that hits him is basically his series seems to have forgot him lately and although this popularity cancels this a bit, it still affects badly his recognition.
If it wasn't for that, I would say he would have so much chances that I might have more considered the answer, btu now, it;s a clear no despite being the most likely currently.
It's a ballot, not a poll. We're giving suggestions. Obviously popular picks will be likelier to get in, but there is no guarantee for anybody. Despite his popularity, K. Rool has issues that could potentially block his entry. Namely, his irrelevancy in recent years, and the presence of another character within his same series who's highly requested as well and still has a place in the DK universe (Dixie Kong). With DLC slots being limited, I don't think both of them will make it. It's very much a one-or-the-other type thing in my eyes. And that's assuming Sakurai won't overlook both of them and end up giving the DK series the short end of the stick again.

I wonder what Sakurai is working on right now. If he's leaving ballot characters until Oct., what is he up to?
I think that his team would be doing the past stages, because I'm assuming it's rather monotonous work. Tourney's would definitely be one of his projects, but that'd have to be pretty close to completion now.

IIRC it was announced the year the Wii came out or the year before at an E3. Never came out. I like to occasionally joke around and ask for Updates on Project HAMMER
With all this talk of who's the most likely character for DLC, I decided to make a list of the top 5 joke characters, characters that have a bunch of votes, but are NOT going to be in smash bros due to not originating in a video game, nor having any major connection to Nintendo. Here is the list

By having his monkey ninjas break into peoples houses and vote for him on the ballot, he was able to surpass Shrek and Goku by a landslide, too bad for him he's not gonna get in, didn't originate in a video game, does he even appear in a video game?, obscure, and Diddy, who was arrested on conspiracy with the monkey king charges, is already in.
I think its important to keep in mind this is 100% geared at 12 year olds who watch YogsCast and Capt.Sparkles or whatever
and will probably do well because of it.
The Wii sold much more than the PS3 and the XBOX360.
This is what I'm talking about, it doesn't matter how powerful a console is, the weaker one is actually the one that sells better most of the time(i.e. PS2 was weaker than the GC and the XBOX(?), but it is the best selling console of all time)
I see where you are coming from with this as it is usually true but the PS4 is so far outselling the competition, despite being the most powerful system this gen. I mean, I know that doesn't say a lot but...
Then again, outside of the Wii, the winners were barely weaker/stronger than the competition. The PS2 wasn't significantly weaker than the GC/Xbox, neither was the PS1 to N64, neither was the SNES to the Neo Geo (which wasn't a direct competitor). Almost every game were possible across multiple platforms within their respective generation.
You are right that having the MOST powerful system doesn't usually matter, but having a significantly weaker hardware (more so as a home console) can easily hurt the potential of the system's future. The Wii sold extremely well for the whole motion control craze, but the craze eventually died off halfway through its life, and thus people became less interested in it. Don't get me wrong, Nintendo had a fantastic idea and it worked for a good while.
But meanwhile the third parties were still developing for the PS3/360 (and not the Wii, but sadly justifiably so because their games were usually not easily possible on that hardware), HD TVs became more affordable, the huge casual games moved on to phones, etc really put a dent into the Wii's momentum. Although the PS3/360 never caught up to the Wii's total sales, they started outselling it monthly when the Wii's steam was down. The Wii ending up losing so much market share.
I really don't think the Wii U should've had PS3/360 levels of hardware. I think that kinda hurt it, along with many other factors that hurt the system.
I dunno, I really think power does matter as it does actually help game developers realizing their games' vision more.
Sorry for the longgg post, it was something I've thought a lot about ever since the Wii U launched.
Am I the only one who cannot stand the CG models they use for Minecraft videos? The faces particularly. They look really bad... Like there's always these weird mouths and eyes having these dents, and the whole expression not looking as pixelated as the rest of the texture. It clashes so much and looks kinda creepy. I see it in literally every Minecraft CG video.
K Rool thread got me too excited... any big thoughts on the Vocal leak? It must be fake, but seeing as its a unique leak and my most wanted new character, I must step down as a result of hyper hype.

Not really. It's much harder to fake someones voice for 70 seconds than edit a photo.
The guy says in the video 'head to smashbrothers.com' - that's not actually the site, it's smashbros.com and the President of Nintendo would ensure he is clear on little facts like that.
He also can't even pronounce Sakurai properly. Mr. Sack-oo-righ.
It's not too bad for the first 5 seconds, but he loses it towards the end.
There's a moment where the volume of the music in the background jumps up but the volume of the vocals do not. That would not happen unless he is controlling the audio as he is recording it.
